Light switch level :scare: in all my years as a surveyor - I have never seen damp rise that far where you have a dense material sitting in water, it usually only rises a couple of inches but then the chemicals in the material react and show higher up - nut not usually that high. as this wall used to be an outside wall - is there still some part of that wall that is outside at a higher level ?

That's really set my mind at ease, thanks Will would you not them implode if there is no air pressure? either way its brutal no - you would explode - air moves to the lower pressure ie outwards in this case

conditions - dark and a little rainy I had a lovely drive home last night from Tenby ................. NOT I was 4 cars behind the leading car, we came to roadwork traffic lights - no problem, everyone stopped on red, changed to green, half way through the system the front car just stopped - because (i assume) he/she could see headlights at the other end eventually he/she carried on and cleared the lights - 60 mph limits - carried on at 35mph - fairly straight roads, but impossible to overtake due to opposite traffic - very frustrating
