The Chimaera looks like its on its way so time to look for a replacement. This will most likely be a zed but also still a bit tempted by a XKR or 944 turb Will be looking for some assistance probably as some of the zeds I have spotted are miles away from Glasgow so if someone local can have an initial nosy would be very grateful

I looked at these before buying my TVR. Biggest problem for me being wrong side of 40 and on the chubby side was the comedy gold getting in and out. The TVR was also a far nicer place to sit in and belive it or not far better built and the noise One comment I have heard about re the vx is the abs can be a nightmare so that's worth looking into

Think very wise choice to remove plate and sell at £9k At £10k I really did not give much attention to the add but at £9k have read all the posts and went and looked a build thread. Lovely looking car and good luck with sale

really.......think your wrong there m8. Yep! There was a thread on here that had average prices and changed dramatically for colour. Orange was definitely one of the lowest! Suppose its all down to personal choice when I was looking for my first zed it was only a ginger i wanted, same with the gut who bought it from me

Have only been looking a few weeks now and prices are a lot lower than i expected, eg There was 2black roadsters on an 05 plate at dealers near me and they were going to let go for £7500 from dealers, I let my 03 ginger go 18 months ago for just under £8k and thought i had been done guessing I would get no where near that these days. All big thirsty cars have taken a hit this year - TVR prices were steady for years but this year there are a lot of bargains out there Suppose one factor affecting the 350z is the 370z now becoming a lot more affordable (spoke to someone who picked one up for £15k) Personally though I would not mind paying a premium for a "known " car but not everyone will so not an easy job selling at the moment

My ecu which to be honest belongs in a museum does not store anything after reset. No idea though about more uptodate ones.

I would personally pay a bit extra for a ginger over a silver or gunmetal and know from selling mine a while back quite a few people were actively looking for a good one. It does though seem that the Alzean leather is not all that popular, again when selling mine it did put people off.

I have been keeping close eye on prices last few weeks and have been shocked to see how much they have dropped since I had mine. I have been offered two 05 plate roadsters in very nice condition for well under £8k without any haggling at all. Just need to sell the TVR now lol Suppose all depends how quickly you want to sell as it only takes the right buyer who is willing to pay a bit above market value for a mint example but don't think you will get much interest quick if asking over £8k

Do you have a decent SS exhaust place local ? u might find they will do a custom job for a very decent price. A mate had one done for his Cerbera absolute cracking job and cheaper than buying from the usual brands.

Well worth getting the geo set up by someone like center gravity or similar. When I changed my suspension on the TVR has it done by a local place on a laser alignment machine and was not 100% happy with it. Took it to Kenny Brown in Hillington who not only put it on a machine but road tested several times and made fine adjustments, yes was double the cost but the car was transformed

Really shouldnt of but went for a quick look at this one today. Looked very clean, usual stone chips on front and rear wheels pretty badly kerbed. Mix of tyres Flakens on back and an Avon and cheapie brand on front. The dealer seemed to know his Zeds said clutch was good, no cliky axle and is changing the compression arms before the sale. Obviously need to give it a proper going over but just might be tempted by this if the TVR goes next week.

Prices are generally a bit lower in Scotland, this one (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 7477765489 )sold yesterday apparently - very close to the car i asked about so maybe a bit of a price war ? Good news is have a couple of people coming to see my TVR this week and there is a guy from Germany wanting to come over and see it !!!

There was another black convertible on an 05 plate that actually looked better that had just sold at a dealer in Gladgow for £7500. I did not realise how much prices had dropped since I sold mine. Trying not to look to hard as my TVR not sold yet but having the odd peak at local cars lol
