  1. As above was really good on my black car masked all but worse of the swirls and minor scratches but was not very effective on a blue car
  2. Take it this is a swine to remove Mines quite tatty and was thinking about polishing or wrapping it but can't seean easy way to do this .
  3. No was in Scotland and yes was a bargain so bought it
  4. Was looking at the "app" ones look good but bit more than I want to spend at moment.
  5. Not looking to spend loads and dont need anything fancy just want something that I can plug Iphone or SD card into. ta in advance
  6. And very happy Car needs a good clean and probally the wheels refurbed but pleased with my purchase. I was planning on keeping standard but after the TVR it is a bit quiet so might have to do something about that
  7. There is a black 05 roadster for sale up here that would go at £7600 after haggling. It looked ok, few stone chips, pretty beat up after market alloys and a ditchfinder tyre.
  8. Well after pretty much deciding on either Dragonballs Roadster or a S2000 get an email from the owner http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4065110.htm His buyer started messing him about after agreeing a price and he has offered to me at a very fair price. While I initially was not keen on silver its sort of growing on me and this car has certainly had no expense spared on it So now on way to have a look
  9. Parked up yesterday and found this beside me when I got back
  10. well watched the Chimaera drive away there hope I dont live to regreat it. But now have cash to buy the next car
  11. My 2001 SLK had no creaks or rattles it did though rust like a 50 year old car !!@@
  12. It's a bit more than average for one up here ( I'm in Ayr) but Black cars do seem to be more expensive. I do know there was a similar spec car - same year and approx miles but in silver thats just been sold near you for £1000 less than the Black ones asking price. The advert does say Ono so no harm in doing a bit of negotiating
  13. This one is 5 mins from one of the forum members, also been on sale for wee while but does look very clean. Price wise in the higher end for year but it does say ono in advert. Where about in UK are you ?
  14. This one been on ebay at least twice now with no takers - might be worth a cheeky bid ?
  15. Pretty cheaps that is! I was quoted nearly 200 quid for a replacement Mercedes key! would of been nearly double from the porsche center
  16. I have had two 986 Boxster S and 2001 and a 2000, handling was great and nice driving position and om a recent PH run one murdered some of the big boys in the twistys But If you go with Porsche original parts and specialist servicing (at least up here) can be expensive to maintain As mentioned read up on IMS issues but this is relatively uncommon - but does give you nightmares every time you hear a strange noise from engine. Other things that go wrong are front springs break frequently, the rear mail oil seal often leaks and this is a pain in arse to sort time wise and can knacker the clutch. If door membranes go water will get in and with the door control module and ECU being under passenger seat this can be expensive Front control arms can creak and groan but not too expensive to replace Gear boxes often need a refurb at about 60k and various bushes can go around this mileage Brake discs rust very easily and are a common mot failure A strange one is the keys lose their remote function and they are over £100 plus the coding time to sort - £300 it cost me for two keys They are now also getting to an age where the early ones are requiring all the break pipes replaced due to rust As for prices they are still going down and this will keep happening for foreseeable future in fact good 944/968 are getting better money than the very early Boxsters
  17. exactly what I'm not sure about but no harm in having a wee drive
  18. Leaning heavily towards the zed but will have a look at the S2000. The concern is I won't like the way the power is delivered with the S2000, I loved the way the TVR delivered power and the zed is very similar. All being equal though suppose it will come down to what's best deal and what car feels right.
  19. As way of update I have pretty much narrowed down options to two cars, oh plus a left field S2000 that popped up on the radar. All being well should be driving home in New car very shortly. As usual loads of help and advice from people on here, think it has to be one of the best car forums/clubs out there
  20. No Azure Roadster the one that Dragonball has up for sale
  21. It was the diesel particulate filter that caused most of the bother, dealers usual answer was take for a good run but most days I was doing 80 miles on motorway clear driving. The clutch a flywheel also went @65 k but that was apparently unusual, luckily I was not paying for it as it a big bill
  22. I had an 59 plate A4 as my company car and it was a nightmare never out of the dealers
