  1. I have this exact problem! Knocking noise when on uneven ground, particualrly bad at low speeds when the car is rocking from left to right. I was almost certain is was the exhaust moving from side to side knocking against the car but its not that. I can replicate the noise when i quickly wiggle the steering wheel. Given that the steering wheel noise appears to be normal would it be worth while buying new bushes from and getting someone to fit them? How long should a reputable garage take to do this, roughly?
  2. The material itself has good acoustic properties, so does the acoustic carpet (obviously) but your still left with the gap between the brace and rear glass it would definitely reduce noise from the rear but not elimate it.
  3. I can confirm there are no bolts, screws, brackets or glue. If anyone still isn't sure, google images > "rock stuck between two cliffs"
  4. Because its made from eurethene, once it's pressed into the opening it will naturally stay there. The fact the opening of the arch has an angled lead in helps a lot as the opening at the back is smaller than the one at the front. Once fitted, it can be pressed out from the boot. It's a tight fit but if anyone likes driving around with a bowling ball in the boot this isn't the cover for them.
  5. I have for sale non genuine vertical tonneau covers/boot dividers. They are made from rigid form polyurethane which is extremely lightweight, the covers are wrapped in anthracite coloured acoustic carpet. The cover requires no installation fixtures as it is designed to be an interference fit in the aperture of the strut brace. Once fitted, the face of the cover sits flush with the strut brace trim and is fitted directly on top of the boot carpet. Priced at £45ea plus carriage, delivery 3-5 working days. Currently looking for a show of interest only before I commit to obtaining selling rights. Link to more photos http://s1154.photobucket.com/albums/p528/jackmidd/
  6. looks really good, whats needed to do this?
  7. Thanks guys! Haven't seen that many going about up here but I am comparing it to the corsa, every second car.. Unfortunately the council denied it so had to foot it myself, couldn't afford to loose my no claims, especially with this car. Plotting some sort of revenge, tempted to wait in the bin one morning.
  8. maybe its not chrome silver, its the dark grey colour. Good start for me
  9. arrows pointing to the tow points are a new one....why?!
  10. Afternoon all, bought my first 350 a few months ago thought I would introduce myself. I'm 25 from Aberdeen, car is a 55 plate GT pack, chrome silver with burnt orange interior. I've had a MK7 polo, 6N2 polo gti (still have this) a corsa VXR which i didnt have for very long - there are more corsas in Aberdeen than people so decided to get something that there aren't many of up here and delighted with my purchase. I haven't really driven it that much yet as the bin men kindly removed the front of it one morning and its been off the road for the last 6 weeks and I just got it back on Friday. I have a batch of particular items for sale but cannot advertise yet becuase i'm new, have been searching the forum in the hope of being able to answer 14 questions but no luck yet.
