To get out my town theirs a long hill up to the motorway, I've survived since 2012... mind you I've also got stuck, nearly spun round, had to turn back after putting autosocks on etc but...yeah survived haha. *TOUCH WOOD* Its been ok and when we did get a decent bit of snow it was the weekend and I didn't need to work and the rain took it away again before I had to go back However... its Friday tomorrow and its to snow from the time I go to work, I'll be up nice and early, get the bloody ice off it and hopefully get into work before that happens haha

Nissan: autonomous GT-R could race you round the ‘Ring

Self driving cars.... sounds boring and just with us 'humans'.. something will go wrong -
The Lexus looks fantastic, again they seem to have also tinkered the back end on it for some reason but looks great

If your in no rush, avoid that one, wait until another pops up somewhere else You have risks with any sellers/dealers and you might have to 'fight' with them but its seems anyone else but J17 is best to have a 'fix this' argument with haha

Agreed, I see too many C class coupes about and they just remind of just that... a C class (mind you the new ones a bit better looking..ish), 4 series as much as I'm not interested are a pretty good looking car (good looking not exciting ..in my view anyway, short of the M4). If it steers well and has the 400hp on tap it could be a nice coupe, lets see if I can grab a courtesy car one in the future when my cars in for servicing... or front arms

That blue one won't be... not sure about the other reg, looks NI and I've no idea how that works lol The convertibles do look good in the blue! And davedutch is right, I was looking at that when I first looked at mine but trust me... the running costs alone will make you not bother about the tax haha...the fuel too if its a daily.

Hmm, its a good looking thing but...theres something odd or not quite on the money with the rear 3/4 tail part and the window. It doesn't seem to flow well to the back, as if the roof lines too high or at too steep an angle. Hopefully see it in the flesh soon at Infiniti Glasgow some time in the future but I'm undecided on that rear profile lol. Wonder if they've sorted the steering.... EDIT - Mind you Merc have that jelly, terrible looking backside on their S Class coupe thing and people buy it by the ton so should work...

The engines (provided their well serviced and looked after) can run over 150K from what I've heard, people on here passing MOT's at well over 100k. Yes its in the cheaper tax band. The roof bit above the door does look a bit odd, but I've no experience with the roadsters so best hear from someone else. I'd look around though, you may find ones similar with the better looking Rays.

Maserati Granturismo, Aston Vantage or ...... Decision P8
AMT replied to Sam Mcgoo's topic in Other Cars
Just had a glance back at this thread (still no decision?! haha). In terms of the Vantage, its along the same performance and pace as a 4.2 XKR, in the real world a 4.2 XKR (besides long bouts of straights) will not be 'that' far away from a 350Z (I just know this shhh ). So you wouldn't be 'outrunning' Z's or similar performance cars... caymans etc as much as we'd like to think. However thats just the performance effort, fuel as mentioned it poor, I've been in the earlier cars and the interior is.. not as special as you might think (especially the chancellor red leather ...I think thats the one I'm on about lol)...and the main thing....servicing is ridiculous for them. I'd rather have the Maserati, been in those, interior 'feels' nicer, and usually depending on combination nicers to look at at times, although its a bit of a button fest on the dash. This however will still be terrible on servicing and any repairs. In terms of fuel, servicing and power the 5.0 , 510bhp XKR is probably a very nice bet and low mileage ones are half the price these days almost. In terms of the cars being discussed its hard to pick something that isn't terrible in at least two areas (such as fuel and servicing). Don't get a Mustang though, it looks so dull.... lol How far on are you with this have you narrowed it down any better? I know it might be actually just some of the posters talking about woeful fuel etc (including me haha) but I think biting the bullet with running costs ...for the type of cars being looked at... is a given. I'd go for a DB9 if you must have an aston... bigger, better sounding, same prices, more majestic. R8, GTR, Maser are all good ones too just depends what you can live with. Test driving gets the feel, but also think... I need to stare at this dash, these dials, fiddle with this crap nav or whatever..everyday. lol Make sure you want it... can live with it... and it makes you feel special even on small journeys! (ps...I wish I had your money so I could afford one too haha) EDIT - Just seen yesterdays post... haha sorry.. make sure your happy with the GTR's dash! A lot of people get tired of it after a while...but what a car -
Ok... I checked! And shouldn't be a repost anywhere haha.... This guys engine must be flooded through some sort of vent...or does the rear mid engine thing help it a little? https://www.youtube....h?v=JWedR5R3OW8

I would not have let her go, shes not exactly gonna outrun you but again you don't know what they'll do if you try and pull infront of them. Hope you get it fixed soon! Also be careful with Infiniti Glasgows repair place, Infiniti are good... but the bodyshop they use has bad reviews, supposed to be same place Porsche use and I've heard bad stuff about their paint jobs etc. Plus it'll cost, so if its not insurance go elsewhere but I'm guessing it will be.

....gonna skip every post and say my 'piece'........ Just Say No. lol They do not look good on any normal car other than cars designed to have them (usually sleek supercars not stumpy bulbous Zs haha).

Get that left leg ready for a work out if you've not test drove one yet If you can I'd try and get an HR model 57 onwards I think? (seen a reasonable amount of HR's going for £8.5K if you can stretch it) Either way you'll still love it, lot of character the 350 and that's what makes it fun!
-
MPSS if you can (I've only just switched all 4 to them) but otherwise if your on a budget but still want good tyres get the Falken FK453's there good enough for most peoples driving! (budget on this forum still means decent tyres )

I didn't actually see it, my gf sent me a pic of it entitled "aww fwiend".... lol Was on Thurs 17th, forgot to post it up.

Why is anyone watching that? lol

Seen this on a car news site, looks good with that kind of power. I currently have a nice white 2.2D Q50 sitting outside as my Z's in for its P3 n' sparks but unfortunately its a manual... (no autos left for the courtesy car...grr lol). It could well be one of the worst gearbox's around and the clutch is a bit heavy...and they all know it at the dealership Besides that its not a bad car the Q50 and having this new lump would prob be good thing... power, everyone loves it! Stick to auto/paddle and fix the crap electric steering thing and that engine would be a gem in something as good lookin' as a Q50. A future Zed with 400bhp would be nice too!
