Less than 24K and 9 years my god.... Mines is a 58', bought it in 2012 with less than 16K on it now has 73K or something... get that thing driven! haha Well done
-
I'm not a fan of the 370 tbh (New Nismo aside lol) but if you gave me the choice of that and a Focus RS (even the new 3rd gen)... I'd tell you to stick your focus (no matter how quick it is) up yer backside. None of them excite me in the slightest, sports cars or GT please. Mainly based on looks, have been out in the first two gens but they just don't look good to me. Hot hatches never will, even when I considered some before the Z in the back of my mind they weren't swoopy or sporty looking just... bits stuck on a hatchback

I do use metal polish on the tips and comes up a treat just wanted to know if there was a lazy way haha. No shops seem to have that bilt hamber stuff so ill need to order it online and give it a go.
-
Oh another random question, since it works on steel or so some reviews and vids say would this sort of thing take some of the crap off a stainless steel exhaust tip... or would it just wreck it? lol
-
Thanks for that, watched some vids of the Bilthamber stuff and checked some info and reviews on it, think I'll try and find myself some of that! Anything that doesn't take the shine of the wheels and is a bit easier than constant hand cleaning does the trick for me. Means I shouldn't have to get my hands in about the inside of the dish to clean it etc, should come right off (as there always fairly clean anyway). Thanks again!

Ok, I'm sure theres a million very detailed threads about...detailing but I keep my car clean, not concourse lol Before I clean the Zed I usually do the wheels first, auto glym wheel cleaner and I get into the nooks and crannies and even into the dish due to the hand big enough gaps and behind the spokes I've seen plenty of videos of stuff being sprayed on and hosed off and the wheels immaculate and I know some are fall out etc but I've never really experimented with them. I used to use wonder wheels on my last car... its stripped it of shiny nice lacquer and it looked dull as hell. Auto Glym wheel cleaner however does a great job and doesn't take the nice shine off the wheels so they always look spanking new. My question (if it exists) is there a kinda of cleaner/fall out product that can be sprayed on, hosed off and will just about at least, clean the damn wheel WITHOUT ruining the nice lacquer shine? (and isn't some fancy online only expensive valeting product). Any help appreciated.I know I ask a lot but you get my drift... spray on...leave for a bit hose off...no damage Does this exist?

That interior though... I had a friend with an ST-3 and I considered (oh so briefly) buying one before this (I looked at anything fast and affordable ...mind you I still bought the V6..doh lol) and I saw the inside and its terrible. The HR's have cheap plastics but the better dark grey colour and little metal coloured flourishes lift it and the design is good, cascading dash and all that jazz... the focus, I just couldn't live with the inside, all that money and you get that. Never been taken out in one and I'm sure it'd be a hoot but if you've got to live with it, it'd be horrid inside. My opinion mind you lol http://i68.photobuck...axipix/RS-8.jpg As sporty inside as your local Taxi firm lol also just looking at those pedals they look a bit small... like peugeot RCZ small (if you've been in one you'll know what I'm on about)
-
Look like a knock off of the old AMG Merc 'flat' 5 stars lol
-
I must admit interiors of old Alfas haven't excited me. Nearly bought a GT before the Z (glad I didn't) and nearly a Brera, but was I hell paying for so much for such a slow car and again... theres something about its interior I just don't like (despite most people saying their great). I'm weird maybe. lol Think it was to do with the sqaure stereo etc being placed onto a silver dash... just looked 'plonked' on their.

I do agree the front is a bit.....BIG but I think it would grow on you. Overall its (..I) think a fantastic looking thing. You may have a point on the wheels, on pictures I thought they look a bit small but its a case (looking at that video anyway) that theres too much 'dished rim' maybe or the fact the spokes are not thick enough. Some pretty 5 spokes would look good on it and a nice 'indented' dish set for the rear. Hopefully get one on some of the car youtube channels soon to see what its like... although maybe not from some of the stuff I've been reading - Alfa putting dates back etc
-
...Mmmm. There are cars out there with more luxury, bigger size, some with more power, some 1/4 angles from the front may not even look the best but my god its a damn good looking car. Apparently this vid is of the sound...but you don't hear much of that, but immediately its miles better looking than ANY saloon I've seen out, it just somehow works in its short stout looking little way. Pretty and aggressive at the same time, a nice follow up to the 159. What do we think? (say a BMW, Merc etc is prettier and you need a slap .. one of my mates thinks a C class or S class is nicer, I said smooth and big does not mean pretty...lol)

Thanks everybody! Just wanted to find a bit more detail on the actual cause. I've been with it since 2012 so probably the cars fine and never found any issues on services so... it is annoying but not... fork out loads of money remap annoying. haha
-
Hahaha I've just looked below the ad.... 'meet the team'. My god is that guy in the 'HR Blue' jacket the owner... nah, I wouldn't trust that face haha.
-
Nah don't think they did any 'bright' blue on HR's except that dark one they had (went well with the frost leather...nearly bought one). Looks a bit ragidy to me that car and the interiors a bit...bleh.. lol
-
Awww I thought this was just a 'common' thing haha So my cars got an issue? I won't be paying for a remap any time soonish so is it doing the car any harm or is it just annoying (I can deal with annoying if it means the cars fine haha) and thanks for the reply!
-
Just depends though, if you've highly modded it then by all means get rid of it as whoever buys it will be looking for a modded car anyway but if you've not done too much, even if looked after I know personally I wouldn't buy something with an 'odd' wheel (as such), if you get what I mean. If you don't need to sell it keep it just incase (...but again Z folk like a bit of bling, I hate those who replace for the shiny 'race' knob thing ... some people just love to show off their knob I guess )
-
Ok I'm used to it, I've had it... including today going home in the stop start traffic...yay *waves hands unenthusiastically*. What exactly causes the jerk? Everythings clean, been for its service and sparks not long ago and nothing is covering anything as far as I'm aware. Known fault but apparently not doing any damage... so what the hell is the engine up to when its bucking at low speed?? lol Just out of sheer curiousity. Mines seems to do it most when slowed right down and your kinda rolling in traffic and no matter whether 1st or 2nd or 3rd when you even gently touch the throttle at times it will 'buck' forward a bit and I'm nowhere near the clutch. And even though I'm not on the clutch I thought it sounded like the flywheel noise at times (but could be wrong), is it something about it hooking up when not on the throttle or is it the actual engine itself
-
I'd keep it because if you go to punt it later in life (unless you've absoloutley beasted the car full of mods) buyers may be put off with the modded wheel
-
Never heard of it ... lol
-
Yasssss mon the Scots Very nice mate! Love the front of the new Nismos
-
I hate people like that, always clear yours windows and lights and get ALL snow off it before setting off. There are idiots out there and unfortunately some seem to drive Z's.
-
Just had a look at 130i fuel consumption for a gander as I thought it cant be that bad for something like a 130... 30mpg?! And you prob will only get 27average out it... thats ridiculous. Buy something else thats worth the fuel haha jk.. kind of lol
-
I think fuel may also be a contender for the reason here too... 'refined' doesn't make me head towards hatchbacks haha. Enjoy the new car! Hope the Z goes to a decent home and its great that you've offered to help out a potential new owner

Minor services at Infiniti Glasgow £99+VAT and 199+VAT for the majors (yes there all noted in the P1 2 3 stuff but effectively you have major/minor in terms of the cost lol). Mind you I replaced the sparks on my 'major' service the other month and it was £426 all in, still pretty good. Not sure what a P3 and sparks would cost at a Nissan dealer... a vile amount no doubt
-
Combined 24mpg claimed for the 350's... I'm regularly on 20-22 which is not bad... oh btw... what kinda air bags do we have?
