  1. I got three from Rich, two small and one large, I had a thought only today as I've not put them on yet, I was going to put the small ones on the rear quarters and the larger one under my rear number plate, just checked them and they're all for the inside Oh well back to the drawing board
  2. Here's Lexx's old 350 (well part of it) with his wishes being written. It was on a ferry a few days before and he was made to keep that on until back in the UK
  3. +1 they are holding prices very well. When the missus wanted a new car, we test drove the new shape and it was great, and I had an old shape FR (1.8T) so knew they were good inside and out. But looking at prices, for one only a few years old it was north of £10k. In the end we got a little Ibiza 1.4 which returns ok fuel consuption and obviously no where near the power, but it was a lot cheaper for a brand new car with warranty etc. I'm seriously considering a TDi Leon in the future for a "shed". Good news then for my Mrs FR, won't be sold anytime soon only 40k on an 05 plate, great wee car, a bloke at work is selling an 05 plate yellow with the Cupra kit for £5.5k, so that's where I based my guesstimate Mrs had a new Ibiza 1.4 as a courtesy car on a recent service and I swear I thought she was going to buy one, she loved it The 150PS FR from 05 had the later Golf TDi engine a year earlier, apparantly, ok the aesthetics on the inside of the Leon may not be of the same quality as the Golf, but essentially they're the same car.
  4. My bad mate, I should have made it clearer the Eagles Nest I'm on about is in France, here's a link http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe ... 104966.htm, it's in th Alpes Cote dAzur, in the south
  5. Next time I'm heading off to Europe via Plymouth I'll drop by Have a great trip, and watch out for the French rozzers, the rural ones are ok and can be quite curious, the motorway ones are after your money via speed traps. The Millau Bridge has a great visitor centre and is worth an hour to mooch around and get photo's, there's one either side of the bridge Here's another piccieor two, one of us three fat barstewards in a little village in the valley at Millau. And a couple in the Alps, BTW all the stickers were mostly from that years, 2009, Le Mans trip, and of course my old RX8, Again have a safe and enjoyable trip
  6. We've the same as GT4 Zed, you can also adjust the water temp for the radiators, winter setting, and the hot water but no need unless you want to be boiled alive. Great hot water pressure and yes the wireless control is

  11. Ok, a MUST DO road is the one that goes round the Gorge du Verdun (Clarkson raced the freestyle climbers in the RS4 here) to Castellane, thn onto the Route Napoleon south to Monaco, another detour on that route is to a place called Gourdon, lunch in the Eagles Nest was the best on our three week tour last year. We also went up to Stelvio from Lake Como, very busy with bikes and quite a tiring drive. More piccies You can just make out the road on the north side of the gorge, the southern road is just as good but higher Mate I could write a book on our last two years tours, Spain has the best coffee , France the best roads and wine and food, Italy has the most stylish lake drives and ALL THE ALPS are fechin scary Chamonix (again spelling ) is another great stop off, oh I couldf go on and on, but I think I'll just plan one for this year
  12. Torque eats front tyres on them though. Stop being so heavy footed then They are also ripe for re-mapping for some blistering performance, you could probably pick up an old shape one (far prettier) for around 4-5k on a 05/55 plate, just make sure the timing belt has been changed
  13. Done a few Euro trips, Pamplona was a dissapointment but will surely be better or more exciting running with the Bulls. Once you've got the Millau bridge out your system, drop down into the gorges heading east, can't remember the name offhand but simply stunning scenery and driving. Montreaux, nightmare to park and very busy with traffic, there's a nice little market right on the lakeside that's a good place for a coffee, it'll take you at least 2 hours to get in, parked and have a coffee though! We headed from there up to Cologne, through Heidleburgh (sp?), 7 hours of torturous motorway driving that was very, very busy the whole way, wasn't even a Friday either, so pick your route north carefully. Nearly forgot, when leaving Pamplona, head for Ainsa, brilliant driving road, we cut up into France about 30/40miles from there and went round Toulouse to Millau. Bridge was @ 16 Euros one way!!! We did it three times , oh and avoid the Mont Blanc Tunnel when heading up through the Alps, that was 38 Euros one way!!!!! Here's a wee piccy or two
  14. Think that will be a right PITA to fit. They dont have the headlight washers in the States, so only have one water bottle to change. Over here we have one either side I think, so you'd have to bodge that together somehow. I'd go for a Stillen Gen3, pretty easy to fit and the cutting you have to do is well hidden away if you want to revert to stock. Either Gen3 or drop in filter for me Is this what they mean by splash tank modification? This is what I'm looking at, http://www.senner-tuning.de/shop/produc ... ts_id=4536
  15. The biggest improvement that the 370 needs is the sound. As posted above, a good zorst willsort this, can't wait to get that shiney new Akrapovic Evo on, I can't however comment on the differences between the 370 and 350. She is a "looker" and head turner, that will increase with a better sounding zorst. I have to say the power delivery is fantastic for a N/A car. My criticisms would probably only run to the rather "notchy" gear change, great on the down shift with the rev synch and, as mentioned, visibility is poor, but hey, it's a sports car. Still finding my way with it, as we've virtually been snowbound up here since she was run in, and every road is way too greasy at the mo. After my Akro is fitted, the next thing is a tinker with the suspension/ride hieght, aesthetically not fully to my taste., with a possible Injen induction kit to follow, still need to investigate that further though. Overall, a great package, just have to cut down on the luggage for this years Euro tour
  16. I reckon with the extra £10k you could make a "special" of your own, only better, with power enhancements thrown in
  17. Andy confirmed receipt of my entry can't wait now... 1. The G Man 2. Wasso 3. Neilp 4. Vik54 5. remould 6. GT4 Zed 7. Was8v
  18. One of these might help
  19. Most of the supermarket stuff comes from either Shell Stanlow, BP (formaly BP, I think the Chinese own it now!?!) Grangemouth and Fawley, puts paid to hurting the oil companies. Old, old e mail, and not a very well thought out one at that
  20. They are hilarious And +1, fair play to ya Nic
  21. Sell my kids to finance fuel Seriously though, only a very long and messy blockade/civil unrest would change the taxing of fuel, the ruling elite need cash to fund their lavish lifestyles and would fight tooth and nail to protect it. Motorists are in a lose/lose situation now and no amount of "elections" will ever change this. If you need a car, any car you lose, just look at the unfair VED, I pay £415 (£750 "showroom") and do 5k miles, someone paying £100 or thereabouts and does 15k, who's the environmental vandal? (if indeed motorists are)
  22. + another here, I like to think of it as "warp" drive Must be my imagination but I thought it gave a bit more on the final "push"
