  1. Get your name on the Scottish Zeds thread, but don't add any chit chat or you'll be moderated by The Jayster
  2. Don't know if this is the right place, here goes anyway Enjoy jeremy clarkson the italian job
  3. Feel for you, within a day of fitting my first, aherm, "mod", Z dustcaps , they were gone Hope you get it fixed with little hassle
  4. My 370 goes in on Monday for the bonnet to be re-sprayed, due to a manufacturing fault( a few spots of dust that was sprayed over at the factory) and a mark on the roof due IMO, to an over zealous valeter on prep before I picked the car up. I'm still struggling as to whether I let the dealer loose on the paintwork, do they have the facility and knowhow to repair this "self healing" paint?, will the paint match be perfect? (I'm expecting it to be), if it's not, how much hassle will I go through to get it right? etc etc etc. These niggles are borne of the fact that I identified these problems within the first two weeks of ownership (amazing what you can discover by detailing your car), along with a busted B Pillar trim external. The dealership in question took the relevant photos and apparantly sent them of to Nissan for Warranty approval, they also ordered the B Pillar part. I heard nothing, nada, zilch from them until one day they called out the blue with "Does your pillar trim have a light?", no says I it's an external part, "Oh, we've ordered the wrong part", "Have you approval from Nissan re the paintwork issue?" I asked, "What paintwork issue?"!!!WTF!! So as you can see I'm not overly confident on this with this dealership! It's actually putting me off the car! What, sometimes, should be a simple piece of customer PR, "yes sir, no problem sir, we'll fix that", turns into a major drama and can destroy your faith in a mark. I've had it with Mazda, Seat and BMW as well, with varying degrees of contempt, but I would say, for every unhappy customer, there'll be thousands of satisfied ones. I also agree that on other car forums, there is varying degrees of "moderation" and on others, like this one, it's fairly open. Sometimes owners of "new" cars join these forums because they have a problem, and invariably a whole lot of threads are started, that to an "outsider", would make it seem that, the particular mark is riddled with trouble. Anyway, my tuppence worth and the Jury is still out at the moment on the Nissan dealership that I've bought from.
  5. Noooooooooooooooo! I'm getting one first, there can only be one in Scotland Hoping at least 4 numbers and the 2 stars come up tonight first
  6. Don't know what the colour is called , same as in the logo up there ^^^, I was in the Ebisu 370 By the time I flapped at seeing you, I was waving to thin air
  7. +1, no contact from them either, however I'll wait and see what happens over the next wee whiley
  8. Spotted today @ 1320, you were heading towards M74 as I was heading into Larkhall
  9. Avoiding tolls and motorways its around 1350 miles, from Zeebruge to Malaga, according to google maps, 1day 13hrs driving, break that up into 6hr stints, and believe me you will want to, fire in the need to find lunch BEFORE 2pm in France, they all shut after this time, and you're looking at a 6/7day trip Can be done a lot quicker but not as a leisurely drive, m/way crunching all the way.
  10. If you do go through France, keep to the National routes, Route De Mans is a good route south, if you wanted a REALLY leisurely drive through France then the Route Napoleon and the Gorge du Verdun is a must, you will be a million trillion miles from Spain though The Millau area is a nice place to tour, lots of lovely little villages and of course the bridge, it was 16 Euros last year, one way, although that is also for a fair stretch of motorway as well. Top tip, on toll roads, use your credit card, we seemed to not get charged too many times this year, electronics and the French don't mix If you do get to Malaga, head for Ronda, head north at Marbella, beautiful and challenging drive and Ronda won't dissapoint
  11. Psst, Linda wants a novice/tuition day at Knockers, would like to surprise her as part of her birthday in January, sorry topic drift Oh and yeah, why didn't you kill the custard imposter
  12. Plymouth/Portsmouth to Santander, head east to Lekeito, overnight, head south to Ainsa, then onto Barcelona and Malga if you must. Millau is way out your way and is in France Alternative drive and not bump into any Brits, head west from Santander, to A'Caruna(great beach and fish resturaunts) along the coast, stay there for a fewv days and visit Santiago de Compestela, THE most beautiful city I've visited in Spain and a bonus that Portugal is only a few hours away Head back via Leon and Pamplona, I've got lots of routes for Spain, PM me for more info Oh did 4.5k this year and just under 4k last year , not all in spain but about 1.5k both years
  13. I ran an 8 for 4 years and you're so right, once the "wow" factor went for the ones that only saw a pretty motor, then reality bit. I do think, however that the Z range carries the confidence of having a conventional engine, rotaries are scary to the uneducated. This is why the residuals on the 350 are still pretty good, the 8 is suffering and they are becoming hard to sell, that coupled with the fuel consumption of a Ferrari is not good. If Nissan make a new Z in a few years, I believe it will be similar in power and size, may well be a hybrid as a few custom marks, ie Lotus, are going down this road.
  14. Do you do a version for the 370? Would be 1st thing on my "to do" list.
  15. Hope this one doesn't make it , looks like that awful Lexus coupe thingy The make or break in Europe will be the emission restrictions, I think a V8 is very unlikely
  16. Just remember to take your poppies off after Sunday, short sharp reminder, that's what it's designed for. The pop at the muslims is unfounded, a minority of misguided individuals is not what reprisents a cognisive or indeed a persuasive argument, the same as the malcontents at Celtic park on Saturday. Let's not let this thread degenerate into a rant. God bless all who sacrificed their lives so we can say what we want on places such as this. WO1 Kelly RE (clue)
  17. ^^ , will be later with a nice little red, then I can rant at the telly when Question Time is on, oh mid life bliss
  18. I also reverted back to PAYG, Tesco do a nice little deal, they treble any credit you put on it, so every couple of months, bung £20 on it then this lasts for donkeys. Not one to make a call for the sake of it, or txt for that matter, but it is a cheap way to have a phone. In saying all that, I was considering going back to a contract to get a new phone as my old N96 has just about had it, my three daughhters all have i phone 4's (?) and I fear that I'll have to wait too long to get one of their cast offs
  19. Had an 8 until September, thought it time for some muscle, toyed with the R3 but Mazda missed a trick there by not updating enough and not adding a turbo or super charger Oh well RX9 in 3 years then
  20. Well done mbs, I've just went through the warranty/Euro Assistance booklet and, I am talking through MY erse Thanks for getting the clarification on this, good piece of info that I'll be discussing with the dealer where I bought. Does anyone know then, whether the service info is collated centrally so's that if you require assistance, you don't have to argue that your car has been serviced recently. Oh, one thing the assist booklet does state, if you are on a promotional offer N928, then you get three years cover
  21. £12.6billion profit posted this week, so they must be doing alright It's endemic of phone companies in particular and all service companies in general, but it's not all the staff's fault, at grassroots level anyway.
