I just removed my engine cover and put it on, didnt have any nuts for the bolts sticking out as the original ones have a top on them so only go down so far so need to get them but other than that didnt see anything else I had to do

I f****** give up brand new gauge and sensors and gauge is flashing at me with sensor failure, plugged another brand new sensor in and same thing. stupid thing can do one now....who cares about oil temps anyway

Right new gauge has turned up (more wiring in the box than last gauge) which is a good sign! I already have a ground sorted and also have run a wire from the washer pump so on ACC the gauge turns on. I now have 4 wires to work with. Black - ground -pretty straight forward Red - 12v to battery Yellow - ILM to lamp Orange - IGN key power Question is can I put red yellow and orange together on wire from washer pump and ground stay as it is?? Wouldnt everything then come on when ignition turned or do I have to run a wire direct from the battery for RED/Yellow and run Orange of washer pump ????

so ripped gauge out in the end and wired in seven which ways from Sunday and its not having it , I must be missing a cable or something originally so am binning it and new one turns up this week, stay tuned for a new set of wire colours

have also wired sensor straight to red and black and still nothing

yeah one wire from sensor needs to go to ground the other to signal wire (from what ive read online) which I think is white on the gauge as its only wire I haven't used, but then technically there is no current running through the sensor then

So im still having trouble with this so seeing if anyone else has bought one of these cheapish gauges and wired it in wires from gauge: red yellow white black wires from sensor blue white I put red/yellow on gauge together wired into ACC and grounded black and gauge comes on fine with backlight constantly on put blue from sensor to black on gauge and white from sensor to white from gauge and also swapped them but no reading will come up on gauge so needle just stays at the bottom Any help? I have no instructions either

Some real cute additions to the forum! So I have had nothing but dramas, Bandit got savaged by something the other day and started to get poorly as the day went on. Next day wound looked infected so off he went to get looked at. He went under so they could clean the wound and give him a shot and today I went and got him and he looks a lot better and a lot more upbeat though still battle scarred

Tarmac Side Steps for sale. Been on car about 9 months though haven't actually driven the car anywhere so basically as new as you can get 2nd hand with a few very light marks here or there around fitting holes (not seen when fitted) Holes are drilled but can be drilled to a size up if you need the wiggle room when fitting. £110 collected from Surrey, can be posted but buyer will have to sort out courier and insurance etc

Bit of progress this week, So exterior mods all completed then this happened I mainly got another front bumper to get it on the ramps for MOT and dyno as the Veilside and side steps are proving tricky to work with on that front. Got bumper for a good price and the holes are pretty much in the same place as Veilside so a bonus and then he showed me the skirts and I thought ....oh sod it Trial fit of bumper Pretty good though for first time fit, left hand side wont fit properly as needs to be shaved inside because of oil cooler and then have to drill holes for attaching Side skirts line up ok but wont know until I properly get them on there but if they fit side steps are going in for sale section. Finally got a multimeter on that stupid gauge and tapped the washer pump wire ground the other wire somewhere else and....... I wired something in that turned on when I wanted it to! Just need to wire in properly and neatly now, sort bumper and MOT and im away

So have been looking into a bit more security since the last attempted break in happened. Came across this video and with the other thread about car hacking thought I would share it, basically there are 2 padlocks worth getting around £90 each so its that or I get some shutters I did go and buy these the other day to make the buggers at least pause for a second and think twice Anyway how safe is your padlock
