  2. cheers mate, yes send them more pics on this the better
  3. cheers Bennett, good heads up but i left the filter on and also covered the whole engine bay/SC in plastic and coverings already, im taking no chances its taking ages so looks like il be at that hole for a while
  4. also ptfe taped my oil temp sensor and blocking ports and pointed the ports to the sky to aid in less leaks I also forgot there is one more thing to do, file or dremel the hell out of this hole for my CAI
  5. Cheers GM, aren't those illegal? id happily do that but think it would attract the plod
  6. haven't updated for a while so finished some niggling bits today. After removing the sump and checking everything for the oil leak it turned out it was because the barb for the oil return on the sump was just over 10mm and the i.d of the hose from the supercharger was 15mm didnt matter how much tightening of clips was done...it was gonna leak Instead of ripping the build apart to change the hose I put this together with some 12mm hose and a 12mm/17mm barb reducer I cut the oil return hose to the right length (was pretty tight fit) and put everything together making sure the drop was right from the hose to free flow the oil back to the sump...pretty happy and should hold up with no leaks now...I pray Back to my previous oil cooler woes and today I managed to to tighten everything up and started routing the braided hosing and routed out to the front ready for the last thing on the list....mounting the oil cooler stay tuned for oil cooler fitting
  7. god damn it Dip a Peugeot but as you mentioned for the greater good and a house and wedding are well worth it, I hope you know you have to do about 2000 invites for the forum
  8. went out for a test fit and it now tightens on and first sandwich plate doesnt move Luckily it seems to Mocal plate will tighten without adding anything else...and more importantly the oil lines/fittings clear and one with the oil filter on for good measure, I destroyed my K&N filter getting it off that stupid nut on the end doesnt help at all and its a weird size which I dont have went to halfords twice to get the right spanner still didnt budge it just kept slipping off Overall should be ok but I hand tightened so wont really know until I go and tighten everything down properly on Sunday...once and for all
  9. here is said spacer in between sandwich plate and adapter, off the car fitment seems it will do the job and gives me quite a few more threads than before
  10. there is a reflection of a boomerang/ufo at the top of the wing
  11. im not to far either though i just get into dramas with everything so go see Adrian in Wembley
  12. just a small update in my oil cooler woes, found a sandwich plate washer you can put in between the plate and adpater to space it out, just hoping it doesnt space it out enough to then effect the Mocal one
  13. something like this http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/mishimoto-thermostatic-oil-sandwich-plate.html
  14. other option is to find a UK 350z one and swap everything over wiring and all, then will keep OEM
  15. I was thinking if it was ok to do the same thing, have drained my oil out into a brand new 16 litre tub with a sealed lid and had it on the side a week now, looks fine and nothing is floating in it or anything and was really careful not to get it contaminated. Ive only done 110 miles on the oil so feel your predicament. I was thinking of putting some gauze in my funnel before I put back in engine to catch anything ive missed but still in two minds whether to do it or not
  16. sounds ace, looking forward to seeing your new garage
  17. ^^ this, especially as it doesnt work at all over here, ive had my jdm for 5+ years now and searched for years on a solution...its still in there now and to be honest if i ever sold it would prob bring value down as next buyer will have to deal with it, I just put a crappy satnav chinese thing in the din below ..good enough for me
  18. and now my stupid Veilside holes and intercooler pipes are in the way to fit the oil cooler...ahhhhhhhhhh Should i bring the angle grinder out to cut the holes this weekend?? I think il save it for another day
  19. so the rage continues....... Managed to get hold of another sandwich plate adapter and even better it is shorter than the Mocal one So that should avoid the problem Sam pointed out right??................Wrong!! Sandwich plate ends up right against the block but can spin it round with my finger so its literally 1 two threads shy...I cant cut the threads because its on the engine block If I were to put a couple of stainless steel washers between the sandwich plate and the sandwich plate adapter where it meets that should space it enough to tighten and clamp the sandwich plate down, will this be ok to do?? It would need a m22 washer which no one appears to sell in a shop on a Sunday so I cant finish it today.... the rage continues........
  20. I knew i shouldnt of gone out. today is officially the day of rage Il drop you a message tommorow if your around
