  1. Ive got a just below average sized block garage and it just about fits width ways, once past the door there is decent room to get out , double garages are definitely the way to go if you can find a house with one and your budget stretches. Ive resorted to driving halfway in getting out opening the window and rolling it back as I can see sod all behind me but to be fair its actually much easier this way than reversing it back and i never hit anything Just bizarre why you would go to all the effort of building a block of garages to barely fit any normal sized cars in it
  2. Im rigging up 5 of them over the weekend 2 in the Scooby front and back and 3 on zed front/back/one outside (for fun drives), not taking any chances in 2016, mine are just mid range ones but should do the trick, i do have 2 sj400 which are pretty good
  3. Thanks buddy, yeah your trailer is awesome I would love that ! So basically need a heavy puller up front to begin with, it is strange as some of you have mentioned and thinking about it I have seen many caravans being towed by things that probably shouldn't be towing it..in my mind thats a bit crazy! Thanks for all the links also got a bit of reading to do today
  4. get mine dyno'd and tuned at last
  5. Yeah its definately added hassle for a transporter thinking about it, my mate is getting a disco which I think is the better option to go halves on and is on the list of approved vehicles just scary all the bits about pendulum and centre of mass etc will definately have to practice before I load anything on it. I was the same thought the Scooby could tug a plane haha for estates etc I think all those upgrades are a must or you will get problems
  6. is it better to have a beaver tailed one or not with how low the zed is?
  7. After reading that im getting a transporter especially if a domed roundabout could end it all for me
  8. Thanks GM and everyone else thats really useful info, yeah the scooby has been kicked to the curb on this occasion now Transporter might be the way to go I reckon as my friend has like 6 bikes and a Scooby also, so between us might be a worthwhile investment, RAC can actually do one now Storage and maintenance not a problem but still an interesting topic as dont know much about it all
  9. hmmmm I was thinking that, even if what i saw was right at 1500kg its still 500kg overweight which is no good, may have to look at going halfs with my friend on a disco to do the job. Cheers for link Alex I heard of them they got some epic ones on there
  10. So am getting increasingly annoyed with breakdown cover and lack of ability to move my car when I want to when its off road so have been considering buying a car trailer for the zed to be towed by my Scooby. I can get a tow bar/electrics for the scooby no problem but stuck on a few points as am a noob at this. -My braked towing weight for the car is 1200kg is this the weight with or without the trailer? if its with the trailer does this mean I cant tow a trailer with my car? my license says I can tow up to 3500kg -What size bed should I get to accommodate the zed bare in mind the Veilside at the front is quite long (but dont mind taking bumper off if I have to get it on that way) wheel base is around 9ft so I thought 12 ft bed would be fine with bumper? -Any recommendations for type of trailer to get? im going for a braked one for sure Basically if it turns out the scooby cant do this Il chuck idea out of window but have seen a few pics online of other Bugeyes towing stuff including boats But as am tracking a bit next year it would be nice to be able to chuck zed on trailer and drive down with it without worry if anything goes wrong to get it home., plus can earn a bit back from helping some mates out when they need it and of course wont be stuck if I need to move large items about Any one have much experience in this? Thanks
  11. What you got nothing exciting really bumper/exhaust few S/C spare bits laying about I will probably list them in new year as need some room now You have black 370 one?
  12. yep I accumulate all types of parts
  13. rear or front? i have a rear knocking about
  14. Bennett your killing me ive just finished, this is gonna put me back even longer Its not that precarious is it? If I raise the cooler to the crash bar it wont have any direct flow from the holes in the bumper, isnt this a no no? its also sitting there because there isnt that much room because of Veilside design. But everything is comfortably inside the Veilside and protected form underneath as of now once fitted I have secured it with nuts and washers/thread lock from underneath, on top and in between and cable tied the mofo just in case, its pretty rock solid. One oil line is a bit long but shouldn't cause a problem should it? it seemed ok yesterday Reply to my text
  15. funny enough had family round at xmas and they said ' weren't you doing the same thing last xmas?' I know im right there now, if the weather holds up gauges in tommorow and need to get a few bumper screws No base map, tuning probably in January now depending on Jez however I have now run out of mot so hoping he has someone nearby who can do it for me
  16. After a few oil leaks and dramas along the way with the oil cooler I checked as much as I could and went for a start up. Was a bit scary at first as oil pressure took a second to rise but quickly shot up to a healthy level Idle and at operating temp Couple more crappy photos from me nothing special just back up and running and outside again Doesnt appear to be any leaks, so just the gauge to wire up/fit and check temps, tidy up and cable tie any wires/cables/lines, pop bumper back on and job done off to tuners
  17. Does anyone know how much oil would be left to fill up if the dip stick was on half way to get it to full? I remember reading it somewhere but cant find it. Just trying to figure out how much oil is going in thanks
  18. looks great mate, glad all went well with rebuild and your on the road now
  19. Bloody oil cooler So pulled the fuel pump fuse and tried to crank over to get some oil about the place, went to front of car yep she has sprung a leak, after a bit of an inspection I came to the conclusion it was the 90 degree AN fitting and I was right as there was a lot of play in the shaft where the leak was coming from, luckily I had a spare one in my box of tricks I couldnt be bothered to drop the oil again so went for a quicky undo and swap AN fittings/lines process that resulted in the below New question! Im leak free for now so while I was cranking the oil pressure gauge stayed at zero - I was expecting it to rise as the lines etc filled is this not the case? What shall I do now? I have lost about half a litre of oil on the floor so the car has roughly 4.5 litres and is supposed to be just under 7 litres in total now with oil cooler/lines/bigger sump. Shall I keep cranking until pressure rises (it did move a little bit from just below zero to zero after about 5 cranks) or add a litre or so and start it? every time I have checked the dip stick its on full pretty much Also when I undid the line to change the fitting nothing came out of the cooler it was coming up steadily through the line (which according to trickys diagram is the return line from the oil cooler?)
  20. make sure you get the thermostatic sandwich plate
  21. should be fine many others have done so in the past
  22. well not a drop of oil this morning from anywhere I was expecting it to come from going to slowly fill her up with a couple more litres via the dipstick and then im ringing everyone to check ive done it right before I start her up
  23. Also found someone across the pond that has done the same so hoping all should be well with what I have done http://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/155863-oil-and-power-steering-coolers-installed-56k-pwn3d.html
