  1. Yeah, a slow puncture will often lead to the tyre overheating and bulging especially if the pressure drops below 20. Had the same thing myself on my Zed 3 about years ago. Pete
  2. That's about it really. Pete
  3. Nice wheels . I'm just curious as to the profile of those rear tyres, look very low to me. The gap between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch looks massive Pete
  4. If this is the car in Whitchurch then I can pop down and take a look at it. Pete
  5. I think this only works if you have programmed the key fob to open each door on it's own. Unlock the car pressing the key fob once, after a few minutes of inactivity it locks and alarms itself. Pete
  6. Doesn't on Caroline's MY07 roadster. Pete Is it definetly the origional nissan key? It should operate as above. Maybe its a replacent? Looks original to me. Just sets the alarm off when opening the door. Pete
  7. Another thing I've noticed is that the facelift roadster has a dim light on in the interior light cluster when the exterior lights are turned on. Also there's a small parcel net in the passenger footwell which isn't present on my pre facelift model. Pete
  8. Doesn't on Caroline's MY07 roadster. Pete

Not sure if that figure of 1,000 is correct but yeah, numbers were limited, one of the reasons why so many were imported from Japan. Pete
  10. No they didn't. All GT convertibles had buttons on both sides, but where the ones on the left on the coupe did the bluetooth controls, on the convertible they only did the radio as BT wasn't available as an option. If it doesn't have buttons on both sides of the wheel then it's not a GT car UNLESS the wheel has been replaced at some point, although why you'd do that is a different kettle of fish. Oops my bad When I was searching for 350z's, all the 'GT' convertibles I looked at only had one set of buttons on the steering wheel also so I thought that was the way they were meant to be. Luckily I didn't buy one then! I've just researched this and looked at several photos of GT convertibles. It would seem that the extra buttons were introduced with the facelift model in 2006. I've looked at a few roadsters from 2005 advertised as "GT" and they are all missing 3 buttons from the steering wheel but they have all the other things that GT's have (Bose, Leather, Heated Seats). For example this one... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2971583.htm If someone can produce a photo of a pre facelift roadster with 6 buttons then I'm obviously wrong Pete
  11. That pretty well sums it up. Just a couple of small things to add, MY07 models have an illuminated ignition key and there's also a drinks holder built into both the door storage areas, which on the drivers side is also illuminated. Pete

Partly, but I'd put the lack of 350Z's down to competition from The Audi TT and The BMW Z4, buyers see them as a "safer" buy than the 350Z. The huge waiting list for Zed's from 2003 to 2007 didn't help Nissan either. Pete
  14. Nearly fell asleep watching that, 3 and a half minutes of total boredom ... last 5 seconds were quite interesting though Pete
  15. Ha, can't value mine, not enough miles on the clock Pete
  16. Does seem a bit cheap, but ticks all the right boxes as far as I can see. Well worth taking a look at it Pete
  17. Ooops only read back 4 pages Pete
  18. Sad news for Columbo fans, the star of the show Peter Falk has died aged 83. Apparently he'd been suffering from Dementia for a few years. Columbo was one of my favourite shows from the 70's and one of only a handful of American shows that I enjoyed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13909992 Pete

Nothing to be sorry about, they cost 47k so I'd expect them to be a whole lot better Pete
  20. Yeah, thought about that, but as long as you torque them on properly then I don't see a problem with fitting 3mms plus 20mms as long as you don't fit the 3mm ones on top of the 20mm spacers. Anything bigger than 5mms could possibly cause more stress as you can't get enough turns on the wheel nuts and you need 9 turns (I think). Not sure of the exact price somewhere in the £10-15 range I would imagine. EDIT...£14.99 on Halfords Website Pete
  21. I believe you can get 3mm spacers from Halfords, I'm pretty certain that Colin has these on his 370Z, so you fit the 3mm spacers on first then add the 20mm hubcentrics. As far as the tyres go, I've kept the rolling radius within 1% so there would be no difference between the arch clearance on the 20" wheels that I have on with 35 profile tyres and 18" Rays with 45 profile. 24. The regulations are something of a grey area here. As I read them, the tread of the tyre must not protrude from the widest part of the arch which on The Zed is at the top, so it's O.K to have the tyre wall sticking out. I'll take a photo of The Roadster which recently passed its MOT which illustrates how far you can go. These are obviously not standard Rays, but I've calculated the amount of protrusion is equivalent to having 27/28mm spacers on Rays. Oh yeah, standard suspension on this Zed. Here's what 25mms look like on the front once again not standard rays but will give you some idea of how much they fill the arches, bad news is that they rub on occasions. Pete
  25. Great weekend, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and we'll definitely be back next year Yeah, this was the only disappointing part of the weekend, those who put their name down and didn't bother turning up should be ashamed of themselves Pete
