  1. I think they're ok for cheap, low dusting pads, but iirc they're not exactly known for performance. Think they're made by the same company that makes mintex? Either way, I wouldn't want them on mine just for the sake of a tiny bit less brake dust. Oh and rear disc isn't going to matter so much as the front, so I'd have thought the dba 3000 would be fine? That or the dixcel pd/sd rears?
  2. I'm gonna say here. Didn't know that most people liked the hawk pads though? Ferodo ds2500 are the usual pads, but I've gone with dixcel on mine and really like them
  3. It's got the w brace, what else could be different?
  4. Dunno where you got that pic but thats not a standard exhaust +1 Looks like a true dual, not sure which.

    19" or 20"?

Very interesting point, noted the rs-ds don't really come in that aggressive fitments. Best seems to be 9"@15 et and 10.5"@20 et, if you can run 1.5 inch stagger? If not, 10"@25 et. But I'd still say 20" for the advan rs-ds as that lip takes up about an inch and makes them look imho the same size as the rs's in 19".

    19" or 20"?

Haha you're not wrong! Yes I would be going for the matte black ones, although I have to say the all chrome ones look amazing, but I'd always feel like the car was in the wrong part of the world, I think you only get to buy those if you live in California! I'm actually more confused than ever after seeing all these pictures! I think it really does depend on the wheels. My only other choice, that seems somewhat played out (mainly in the US) was the TE37's. TE37's in 19" look amazing whereas in 20" they lose their shape. TE37's are overdone imho, though what about the new TE37 Super Lap? Advan RS-D's would be far more unusual
  7. Rubbish colour is red Nah, looks absolutely stunning

You really rate the yellow stuff pads? I didn't get on with them tbh at all, but they do say they're not suitable for drilled discs.
  9. One thing though, if you want the wrap, you have to get the ap bbk shown with the slotted discs to match Just won't look right otherwise
  10. Red timestripe for me, but not where it goes through the road like in my chops
  11. Hope you don't mind my photochop bodge. It's also got the red O on nismo

    19" or 20"?

See. I think you're a bit biased here, they remind me of something a little But you're right, they are very, very nice
  13. I thought it was the zeds first anniversary?

    19" or 20"?

20" on the RS-D's, but imho they look a bit small on 19"s, whereas the RS's look quite big in 19"? However, quite a few other 20"s look far too large for the Z imo. All depends on the wheel. But RS-D's, as ian said However, I prefer the machined + black version Having said that i'm now not so sure...
  15. GTR steering wheel looks nice, but the steering wheel? Really? I can understand the dials, Husky has done an awesome job of his, you see them all the time, but, a steering wheel?

    17" Alloys

    Urr, I don't think 255 will even fit on an 8J? http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual ... calculator
  17. They're not "budget" budget tyres, i.e no brand crap. I'll probably try bridgestone re050's next though. Bit more than a couple of hundred extra though. TBH I just wanted to try the falken fk452's going by people's ratings of them.
  18. Budget tyres are sh*t, 452's seem quite reasonable so far. Ok so they're not ps2's, but for the price you wouldn't expect them to be. Can't say I've been sliding all over the place on 452's so far? The run down ze912's and no branded tyres at the front however, that was more interesting

Brembo slotted discs then, cheap, look better than oem, better on a track, job done

I have done but there is so much choice and people give different advice- hard to know which is best... I am only a daily driver around town... Go for standard brakes with no grooves or drilled. Drilled might crack and grooved ones will skim your pads. You dont need super track discs or anything. +1 - stick with brembo Can't you get brembo slotted discs?

This is true, but I got the dixcels with some intention of tracking it eventually, but I guess this is n/a for this guy. Though, they do look better than flat discs imho

To keep the pads fresh and not glazed over. TBH your best bet though is from a trader on here like zmanalex

I think £230 for a set of decent pads and discs is a little optimistic tbh. I wouldn't trust yellowstuff or anything from ebc after my experience with them on the road and at a track day, nor after seeing pictures of their pads disintegrating. I guess they may be ok for plain road use, but I still wouldn't choose them over oem, let alone the other much better options out there.
  24. I didn't get on with the yellowstuff at brands in the previous car and they weren't brilliant tbh before brands. They didn't inspire confidence for me at least. Even yellowstuff took a little bit of heat on the road tbh before they had any bite at all.
