  1. Hi ionabee, i have tried loading the pictures from my files but they keep getting rejected !
  2. To start use a plastic screwdriver to pop the whole button out like this. You will hear a click dont worry. ( this is the tool i used to remove the original button ) After you pop it out, disconnect the plug. Lastly just push the side of the button and push it upward to take the original start button out. Than reinsert the RED GTR BUTTON! FINALLY simply reconnect the plug and push the buttons back in place and ohhhh yeahhhh there you go the red button!
  3. On mine i get a beep when reverse selected, then nothing until i come within a metre or so of an obstacle at which time the beeps get closer together until there is just one long tone when i am within inches of object at the rear.
  4. I think he means pull the fuse after warranty period expired cos the new steering lock is mighty expensive !
  5. Hi mate yes it was me, nice to say hello
  6. Hi Pete, i had it done when i first bought the car 2 1/2 years ago and with a full detail first the cost for front bumper and bonnet and wing mirrors was about £500 at Valet Magic in Windsor.
  7. No problem with the shine on the front of my 370 transparent wrap !!
  8. I take the opposite view that prevention is better than cure so had Fendershield fitted to the front of my 370 from new and it has done a great job, not a stone chip anywhere and is very resiliant to marking. The film itself has been on for nearly 3 years has not yellowed and polishes as well as the paintwork, i will concede that up close it can be seen but to my mind that is a small price to pay for perfect paintwork.

    370 facelift

+1 and no performance improvement, Nissan could at least have upped the ante with a few extra horses !
  10. I asked Opie Oils about my Supercharged 370z which is occasionally tracked, and this was the reply : I would use a top quality 5w-40 synthetic and you will find those through the link below. They are fine at 130C. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition.
  11. that guy has a chin made of steel, stupid tho' !
  12. Yes i have the greddy deep sump, which does help with cooling but is mainly to prevent oil surge. On the plus side i didn't have any problems with brake fade after having the brake fluid changed to competition spec. TBF most people were only doing 15 mins max on the track yesterday before coming in too cool the cars off and there were a few going up in steam, so the Z isn't alone.
  13. I don't have any overheating issues with day to day driving ( oil 90 degrees all day long ) but on the track driving balls out it is a different situation completely.
  14. Hi Peter, the open pit lane day ( 9.30 - 4.45 ) was £109 and i am still on the original Bridgestones so maybe i was lucky that it was a hot dry day, having said that my oil temps were reaching 125 degrees by the end of each session and i had almost lost all clutch pressure by the end of the day ( it came back when the fluid cooled ).
  15. This was my first time out on track with the Growler, so set out nice and early as it is a good 2 hour trek down the M4 for me to get to Cirencester where the airfield circuit is, arrived at about 8.30 am so was on of the first there but very quickly the pit lane parking started to fill, the one thing that really shocked me was the number of track dedicated ( mostly Caterhams ) cars turning up on trailers and TBH i did initially feel a bit intimidated, but as the day progressed everybody was friendly and very interested in the 370 as it was the only one ther plus got a few compliments on how nice my exhaust sounded on full chat and how quick she is, in fact i was only overtaken a couple of times by track dedicated cars one of which was a mad fast supercharged Ariel Atom , the biggest problem i found with the Z was trying to hussle her bulk through tight hairpins, i would pull away from the Caterhams and Elise's on the straight only to be caught on the bends then pull away again on the next straight. The day was very professionaly run by trackdays@motorsport-events.com and i would certainly recommend them if you have never had a go before.
  16. Excellent, great figures !
  17. Really liking the look and more importantly the function of this : The large side vents allow brake cooling ducts as well
  18. Hi mate there is a few of us around the Cheam/ epsom area, nice to see you on here.
  19. E bay item : small oil catch tank / can Nissan Skyline 200sx Silvia R32 R33 R34 350z 370z sold by rutlandmotors
  20. This is the amount of oil trapped after about 400 miles, so definitely doing the job.
  21. As stated above i was sitting traffic next to a black 350 personal plate N2 *** on A303 about 20.30 last night 19/8/12 looked very tidy.
  22. I think it may be perception as the 370 is a big car, but Nissan engineered it to wiegh no more than the 350 but with a bit more power.
  23. Sorry Colin, but that looks sooo chavvy to me, all that plastic its like Max power meets the Halfords styling section of poor taste ! I do like the burnt exhaust tips tho
