  1. I have always replaced both sides as a matter of course, but I am not suggesting that everyone does what I say, The OP asked for advice, I gave him my advice, Thats me, belt and braces. My advice is free, if people don't want to take advice from me or you the sobeit. With tyres, I was referring to certain cars that don't like having one tyre replaced, yes, I agree, not every car but some. I don't see that a bearing of such small value is a waste of money, you would have peace of mind, and lets say, you only change one, and the noise is still there, what are you going to do? Eh, replace the other one. If the noise is gone problem solved, if the noise remains, well, something else is at fault. Not everyone is adept in diagnosing problems/faults, we all have our own method of doing things, what I have posted is my method. Paragraph near the bottom of the page. http://mibearings.com/
  2. How much value do you put on your life you can rest assured, if one is going, the other won't be far behind, and the tolerances will be better, its similar to changing one tyre.
  3. Either way, you should always change both. Jack up the car and see if you can wobble the wheel, hands at 12 and 6 O'clock and at 3 and 9 O'clock. You should be able to see if one wheel wobbles more than the other. But, change both...... for prices...

  13. Dear FairFuelUK Supporter Thanks to the fabulous help of our supporters we are now only 3,400 signatures short of the 100,000 required to trigger a full Parliamentary debate on the scandalous price of petrol and diesel. We are trying to hit the 100,000 target before the Conservative Party Conference this weekend, hence this email. If you haven’t already signed at http://bit.ly/FFUK-Gov please do so now. If you are at work, might you be able to ask colleagues to sign? If you are at home, how about family members of friends? Please understand that this vital ePetition is on the Governments own computers and website. That means we have no record of which of our supporters has signed. This is why we have had to send out several messages like this one over recent weeks. If you have any problems signing up to the Government's ePetition website, please go to www.fairfueluk.com/epetitionproblems.html Kind regards The FairFuelUK team http://bit.ly/FFUK-Gov http://www.fairfueluk.com
  14. Welcome to the forum. Checked your oil and pressure? Year of car would help, but I would suspect its the oil getting to the top of the engine is slow and you are hearing the tappets rattle around until the oil pressure it sufficient to stop the making a noise. Check your oil and change it if you haven't already done so. Are you burning oil?
  15. I used to put the axle stand under the front suspension and use the hydro jack and oem jack front and back, you can get a good height from the oem and hydro combined, car is at a 40 degree angle though.
