Steering wheel controls only work with dedicated phone cradle or bluetooth unit fitted in centre armrest cubby whether it be bluetooth or old fangled phone such as Nokia. Bluetooth unit can be bought on here for about £70.00 but tbh the 'nice lady' as you call her is still deaf as a post I'm afraid It sounds like the system you have installed bypasses the OEM built in stuff and talks directly to your new head unit

When I got my Zed a girl in the office Emailed and asked if it was a Porche ............ I replied no I leave my Porche parked at home at the front of the house, the car I drive to work is a Nissan 350Z

All a matter of taste, black alloys always make me think of non alloy cars with the hub caps fallen off... I liked it till the cross fire piccy A Crossfire looks like a spaniel having a sh!t ......... the Merc has a completely different profile and .......I'm sorry Tarmac ............. looks nothing like it IMO
