  2. come on hugh; you might as well post yours up and trump us both its not like your aston is lacking really is it If I knew the stats I would post them ......... all I know is that performance is .......... erm .........ADEQUATE i'm making some guess on your car, but if its a DB9 V12 volante auto 2 dr, then these are your rough figures Engine Size = 5935 cc Cylinders = 12 0-60 mph = 4.9 s Power Output = 450 bhp Valves = 48 Torque = 570 Nm 420 lb-ft Top Speed = 186 mph I've an idea top speed is restricted to less than the coupe to prevent the roof blowing off
  3. come on hugh; you might as well post yours up and trump us both its not like your aston is lacking really is it If I knew the stats I would post them ......... all I know is that performance is .......... erm ......... 5. I didn't mention it but 3 seperate builders/wooden building suppliers who quoted for the work all said - Won't need planning as it less than 30m and behind the (non exsistant) building line. Hind sight is wonderful - but if I had realised how helpful the planing office was going to be I would have tipped my hat to them first! We live and learn. I am happy to advise any member in respect of Planning and Building regs by PM
  6. Its OK I rented a scaffolding tower - I know that won't save me Shhhhh HSE do not require F10 notification for work to domestic properties
  7. I would have recommended professional advice at the outset ........ either that or a trip to Planning and Building Control to discuss ....... Planning law is quite complicated and it's not easy to keep up to date with Building Regs
  8. Had a Trans Am for 11 years Decided to get rid one cold February morning when I was filling a leaking rad whilst balancing the bonnet (hood?) on my head due to lazy gas struts Bought for £7500 sold for £1500 (cheap motoring ) No regrets Had the Zed from new for nearly 7 years ..............I was the longest owning member here and our NZ member Bronzee now is AFAIK Would have kept it forever if the oil problems hadn't come up
