  1. In fairness it was more of a concern than something that's actually happened before but thinking about it I know you're right. This bike looks like it has Shimano SPD pedals on it, might have to invest in the shoes, I've never used them before but do they make a definite difference and feel to the bike? I'd like to change the forks at some point as well. The brakes have been bled or so I was told by the guy I bought it from as the bike had a full service not too long ago, they feel strong enough for the moment. I think I'm going to have to get on the forums and read up and get out there, think I'm starting to neglect my 370 already
  2. Good idea I just need something to cover the big ring, it's pretty sharp and whilst I'm not concerned about ripping a pair of trousers I am concerned about ripping a hole in my leg, metal pedals to the shin were bad enough on my DH.
  3. I think that might be in order! Already looking for some upgrades, any pointers? Ideally I want to get some of the basics first, it looks like it's been run without a chain protector at some point and has a few marks from chain slap so I need one of those and a bash guard or I'm going to end up ruining my legs!
  4. Well guys just thought I would update the thread, after a few weeks searching I had a few bikes I was watching on ebay and while stuck in a traffic jam trying to get out of a car park in Cardiff last night at 11:30pm I slapped a bid on this and picked it up today: It cost me £290 and it's a 2008 Specialized Rockhopper, I guess that's a pretty average price to pay, it's not going to set the world alight but I think it'll do perfectly for me for the moment
  5. I can't say humans smell like roses
  6. Hahahaha get your tits out love!
  7. I agree, best team put forward in a long time. Best thing is the team are all young. The future looks very promising for Wales.
  8. Let's see if they can use the last half to finish the job. Fingers crossed!
  9. Is the guy from France? Funny enough a few years back a mate had an R32 GTR and sold it to a guy in Sweden, he flew over and drove it back. My neighbour had a UK 300ZX TT a few years back and a guy flew over from Romania and drove it back these foreigners are bonkers!
  10. Agreed! Sent from my iPhone I agree. RIP Steve Jobs, like him or hate him he was a true innovator and for that I respect him. Sent from my HTC
  11. Hahaha feminine. I mean each to their own, he clearly views them a certain way and he's entitled to that but they're not feminine and I'm not sure he's ever driven one. Edit: just read through a few posts on that thread. I understand I'm going to be bias as I own a 370 and have owned a 350 but for a motoring forum and a bunch of 'piston heads' they winge about economy so much. They all seem to slate the looks of the 350 and 370, oops should have bought a Porsche for the weekend and a Focus for the week and I might fit in. The whole PH lot wind me up, maybe I just don't take criticism well but I love the look of the 370 for the money and it drives well as well.
  12. I spend nearly 2 hours a day being hindered by traffic lights on the commute. One thing's for sure if there's a queue of traffic you can bet right at the front a set of traffic lights is controlling it. I hate them, but not as much as other road users.
  13. Welcome mate, good luck in your search. Black ones are quicker, fact.
  14. Can't wait to see Wales v Ireland next weekend! It's such a tough call as to who will win. Wales are on fire, Ireland are playing well too. Obviously I hope Wales pull one over on the Irish. Experience vs Young Talent.
  15. Get an Audi seat and do it, the ones in my car are really comfortable. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/03-A3-SPORT-1-9-TDi-PAIR-FRONT-SEATS-HALF-LEATHER-CADDY-/250888302480?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6a1baf90#ht_1026wt_1185 You could make 2 out of these Driven to Germany and back in mine so should be comfortable in an office if you do go down that route.
  16. Are you sure? Like, really sure? Cheers mate, just had dinner, glad it wasn't sausages and potatoes!
  17. It's been the same for the last 40 years or whatever it is, what's another 14?
  18. Good job I asked on the frame size. My previous bike was a medium so I wasn't too hot on the sizes in inches. I can see this bike search turning out to be a bit baffling. With all the specs it looks harder than choosing the perfect car. We don't have an Evans Cycles in Cardiff, nearest is Bristol. We have Don Skeene (independent bike place I think) and Tredz here. I might go along to Tredz and have a look as they're less likely to pounce on you, last time I went to Don Skeene my brother walked out with a bike and he was only 'looking'
  19. Cheers mate interesting to know with regards to the spec changes since 2009! I'm 5'10" so would I be right in thinking something around the 18"-19" mark? Always willing to travel within reason and Bristol is only 45 mins away tops!
  20. This weather is unreal for late september, woke up to this: Got in the car at lunch to see this: Good job the air con works

    Opinions please

Don't go for the fake TE37s. You don't spend all that money on a car to put fake shoes on it. I've spent a while weighing it all up and it's the reason I haven't changed the wheels on my car yet. Mainly because I would only ever go for TE37s, RE30s or Advan RS-Ds in matte black but because I'd feel like a fraud with fake wheels. Just my opinion, can you guess which one I voted for?
