  1. nice one!! that makes it much easier for people to understand
  2. yes let the insurer know. its a mod mate
  3. When u did the mod, did u cut the tracks on the pcb? Perhaps you have cut one too many. Also there might be a small amount of solder touching the tracks. You might have to take it out and test it.
  4. bbc3 tonight. Outside a go-carting place!
  5. Its a very easy mod. Just make sure you follow cookbots guide. Cracking mod.
  6. Awesome! Looks fantastic.
  7. Thanks mate. I'll call him. Cheers.
  8. Mart, Went to falcon! They couldn't help as 1 of their ramps is buggered. I'll pm lee now.
  9. Last night travelling on the motorway, i ran over some object in the road. I was going about 55-60. It made a bloody great big bang. I stopped just up the road and cheked in a garage under the lights. I checked the Underside at the front and found the undertray had come loose at a couple of points. Is they any lovely people that could lend me some ramps and possibly some tools to have a butchers underneath. I am in the middlesbrough area at the mo.
  10. As above, spotted in the southbank, london. Was crossing the road and spotted you. Pretty sure its a member on here.
  11. might have a friend thats interested mate. he's after a silver Zed. with all of the usual GT pack. its in his budget too
  12. could you get one machined??? probably not really worth it.
  13. this is a cracking little project!!! nice one cookbot it does seem like a much better smaller setup than the one i have. but all in all i am happy with what i have. im sure the door switch works on mine. when the switch is in the neutral position that means its in "auto" from the fob. could be wrong. cant remember. the mirrors dont click or really make a sound other than the motors driving for about 3 secs.
  14. awesome. i have always loved these cars!!!!!!!! get a clip up of the noise!!!
  15. well to be honest. i dont think i have much worry about being made redundant. but yeah i know what you mean. over the 3 years i have owned my van i have done 35k. but i expect to do a little more than that. i really only have to carry a very small amount of gear. perhaps large box that would fit in the boot. practical, ie 4/5 seats and not too juicy. i would get a company fuel card so that would make the car (probably) a diesel. i am thinking that the zed costs circ 400 quid a month for me to keep, (that doesnt include fuel) so i could in theory have around 600 to spend on a car. and not have to worry about if it goes wrong. plus the car is mine at the end of the 3 years and my company have paid for it.
  16. but i could combine the costs and get a 330 m sport BMW. i really have to think hard about this. as the mrs is chewing my ear about getting something more practical and saving money at the same time.
  17. basically my firm are about to give me a company car. i already have a van but now im more technical i dont need a big vehicle any more. i will be offered 275-300 a month for this car and everything will be paid for by the firm. eg, tyres, servicing, tax ect..... i can pay extra on top if i like and get what ever car i want, as long as its fit for purpose and not a gas guzzler (zed out of the window). i already pay 320 a month for my zed so could have a fair amount to spend. plus i wont have to tax it and insure it ect. my dilemma is... a) do i keep the zed and buy a car for sub 9 grand over 3 years sell the zed and combine the money. and get a better all round car. like a audi a4 s-line or a BMW ect.. i really dont want to sell the zed but if needs must then hey.. any other advice on company cars would be great as well.
  18. once the phone has been blocked by the network operator i dont think there is any "legal" way to do this. u could ring them up and explain what happened but other than that i think it might be an expensive paper weight
  19. Good advice - speaking from actual experience there Yeah
  20. 1. Buy good leads. 2. Always Connect the neg terminal first. 3. Connect the positive lead on the dead car first. Then on the donor car. 4. Put the dead car into ignition for a little bit, then start her up. Make sure you buy leads that are for 3L and above. Should be sorted!!
  21. Tbh, this is a great idea. But it still is not doing it "properly". It is just gonna neaten things up. I cant wait for the finished product as i'll be interested. Will this be still using the micro switch on the door handle? Or is it gonna be a better solution? The pcb could be a great idea
  22. also what have you done with the old lenses? i have "cooked" my driver side one. i would buy it off you. cheers here u go my ol' fruit.
