Wenger has taken the club (1996) from a position where they were similar to say, Aston Villa (tatty stadium, won a few cups, best years behind them) to a team that between 2001-2006 were quite simply one of the greatest ever seen. I rated those teams he put together as only bettered by the Gullit-era 1990s AC Milan and the current Barcelona team.
