  1. Good work I've got mine booked in for next week too
  2. Yeah I'm the same, I spotted the first white water mark in the lacquer on my Nismo's today....tiny but I cant miss it every time I look now!! OCD seems to come for free when you buy a zed
  3. Gutted for you Clarkie, its seriously upsetting when that happens If its any use to you a friend of mine used a place round the corner from me in Stockport called Diamond Wheels when he damaged one of his Superleggeras, a few places had said they'd struggle to match the colour but Diamond wheels did it perfectly so it may be worth a try possibly if you dont have any luck with the wheel specialist http://www.diamond-wheels.net/index.htm

    Which wax?

I found this thread in the link below really useful when I was learning about some of this stuff viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2878
  5. Good choice! I always think of the Zed as a 'blokes TT'

    350z == dead

Really sorry to hear that mate! That must be totally devastating! Glad that nobody was hurt but its such a shame about the car. I just hope the insurance give you a decent payout so you can replace with something decent
  7. All, I know there have been quite a few people trying to get hold of gold touch up paint for Brembo's recently without much luck. I've PM'd chrisyboy84 after reading an old thread where he was selling some and he confirmed that he still has plenty for sale! I'ver ordered myself a pot - its £10.50 including delivery. So if you need some please PM him ** Please note that it isnt me that is selling this, nor am I benefiting from it in any way, just trying to be helpful **
  8. Its noticable on mine when its all clean and waxed in sunlight, all of the plastic parts are a slightly different shade to the metal under the light! I think its normal and just down to nissans paint match...I only notice it in direct sunlight though
  9. Already tried PMing him a couple of weeks back but no luck so far I'm not that lazy Stew Cant seem to see any other people who can get it though. The only other useful post I found was one that gave two paint codes that were similar ish to the brembo gold...I've got them written down somewhere so may just have to try them
  10. I'm also after some but not having much luck either, I'm pretty sure there are 2 or 3 other people after some too so it may be woth somebody mixing some up if they can and want to sell some
  11. Not cheap then! But then again quality never is. Will be interesting to get your impression once fitted
  12. Good results I'm going to have exactly the same set up as you once I get my plenum spacer fitted so I'm hoping that I can get the similar results from the uprev too
  13. Yeah it must be a bit of an illusion, they look great! I want!
  14. Are they standard size for the Brembos? They look huuuge there
  15. Hey when I went to crail in my 360bhp 200sx one of the closest battles I had was with a Nova!!! To be fair it was a 2l Turbo that was totally stripped and running ~250bhp according to the lad....but I was still shocked to see a Nova hanging with me halfway through the 1/4 glad to say we left it pretty well at the top end though but still Dont get too hung up on it....just get an Uprev as people have suggested, having full throttle in 1st 2nd and 3rd should make a big difference. Failing that you should challenge the saxo to a track with corners and then see how it compares
  16. You could take out insurance now with a new company...then wait a week or so and then make your claim May look suspicious but I cant imagine there is much they can do about it.
  17. I watch with interest Lexx, good luck with it all and great choice keeping the car This forum has gone FI crazy over the last month or so....Its great!
  18. Cheers for the offer Ian but I'm keeping hold of them as I use my Rays as winter wheels....as we all know the Nismo's appear to die at the sight of grit! So I dont dare leave them through the winter
  19. I think the ride height that the eibach springs give is perfect so I'd rather just have the wheels sitting less aggressively as they are now, it still looks To be honest I think it would still rub on the teins under hard conering as the wheels really did sit out a lot. This was more of an experiment than anything as I had the spacers sat there from my rays anyway so I thought I'd give it a go, especially as I knew the info would be useful to another member. I'm just gonna leave the spacers off as the rubbing noise was driving me insane! Next experiment is painting the Nismos pink like nurrish did with his rays
  20. Yeah it did look seriously aggressive! If I had coilovers I'd probably consider raising it a bit but I'm on Eibach springs so its not so easy unfortunately, I think arch rolling would have probably sorted the rubbing but I'm a bit dubious about it still
  21. Good stuff, glad the reccomendation was useful
