  1. It's a newer better box http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=62300
  2. The 3 is very very fast! I would say between the 2 and 3 there isn't much in it but the 1 and 3 are night and day.
  3. Cd009 gearbox possibly? What about pulling yours off and getting it refurbished?
  4. Yikes I've never had a car with more than 35k. My bro's clk55 went arse up and the gearbox had to get replaced. Great car though, gearbox problems aside , but a bit boaty, more cruiser than sports car tbh. I'd be careful with high mileage stuff. Even though the engine is solid you've got to remember all the bushes and bearings will have done these miles also and could be deteriorating or perishing which could cause some bills.
  5. That's because you're also getting to that age where you do mental stuff to be down with the kids I personally think it looks bad and a decent pot hole will send the wheel through the arch. The gap between the arch is small but the gap below the chassis and road is huge. I think 22's look too big on some 4x4's let alone a zed. A decent corner and there will be tyre damage, I'll put my money on it.
  6. I never see above 20mpg, last tank was over 100 quid. For short journeys the zed will drink fuel. 3.5litre engine was never going to be economical. Even driving like a granda it guzzles. What's the point in buying a sports car to do this and actually have no enjoyment out of your money? It is a nice place to be but nowhere near as comfortable as a closest rival bmw 3 series coupe. As a work horse I wouldn't recommend it. As a weekend toy you won't get much better for your cash
  7. My 350z does that. It's the initial torque peak that the clutch cant cope with. If it did engage it would probably destroy the clutch plate
  8. Dont want to be rude but I think it looks really really bad and completely moronic. It looks like a 4x4. This is the sort of thing my old man would try to do to be cool and down with the kids Edit: Typo
  9. 2 degrees is a lot to be honest. I don't think oem will allow that much adjustment. Maybe better to on zmanalex and get some spc ones
  10. I think I have some in my garage mate. I'll double check in 10
  11. Dont do what other people like. Do what you like. Many people don't like my car but I didn't do it for them I done it because I feel good driving my car the way it is. Do what makes you feel good mate, that was just my opinion
  12. bit tackie to be honest
  13. is your friend a member on here ?
  14. loads of s14's running about up here with them on it for the last few years. They have the metal ones like the standard badges
  15. Carbon coops, I'm sure it was him, tried to use the forum as a dating site and I'm sure it completely backfired
  16. I'm Keeping my lips sealed! I have far too many filthy comments roaming my mind and could inherit another ban
  17. Spotted now by me in work van though. East main street
  18. Any double or single din unit you want. If you did one you like post up a review and well let you know what you need and if it's decent. We have some real sound gurus on here who know alot. If you go single din I have a spare fascia panel
  19. Nope the later cars aren't any different mate. You are correct those are true coilovers. I'm sure there was some reports of distortion with true coilovers without reinforcements
  20. You need boost pressure for it to work I'm informed. Was gonna run it with the now until I was informed it won't work. Keyser has it on is supercharged car Can I ask why you would want to run it on a stock car please? Cheers
  21. The 18" rays are one of the lightest. You won't get much lighter unless going for magnesium or spending a good few thousand
  22. +1 I put my but plastics back in as the noise and look wasn't worth losing 20kg over imo
  23. The rays are probably one of the lightest wheels. When it comes to a track car don't worry about looks. Deal with the important things first. What 17's are you talking about as chances are that they are heavier than the 18's? 17's will be slightly cheaper for tyres but you will have bigger sidewalls which could make the feel of the car worse due to sidewalls flexing.
