  1. is your car pre facelift. The led reflectors will fit the nismo
  2. George if you're going normal fittings with led conversion. I have dimmable low voltage transformers laying in my van that you can have for a quid each. I bought them for nicoles room and never got round to fitting them.
  3. For a sidenote, people that work for the likes of ross electrical, city, edmundsons are not electricians. Anything they know usually they have picked up from people buying them.
  4. This is what I usually fit George http://www.halers.com/neutral_white_nw/dl_01_wh_nw_dim__halers_h4/24544_p.html They have a 7 year warranty and are excellent brightness. They're around 30 quid a fitting though but you only get what you pay for. Standard spot light holders with led conversions are rubbish imo. The light pattern is terrible.
  5. No you can dim led's. City electrical are robbing bastards. George let me know what you're looking at and i'll tell you what switches you need.
  6. LED's dependant on voltage may require low voltage dimmer switches or they'll just use normal dimmers. If low voltage they will burn out a normal dimmer switch. What led kit are you thinking about. There is a very good company, which are expensive though, but offer a 7 year warranty as the led/fitting is one. There is no requirement in houses to have stuff signed of in Scotland unless its a new build.
  7. Would strongly advise against Paisley, heard many horror stories about them. Ive used them about 350 times from my records and had one item damaged and they sorted out the claim fine. Paisley freight are only a middle man and down the road from me. They use city link or dhl.
  8. Jay had his orange cars auto wrapped in carbon on that bit. It does look blue in the pics but its just the camera effect. Maybe a daytime pic without flash will show it better.
  9. Or you can just do a massive burnout. I have KU31's on my MR2, very communicative and decent grip too Yeah they're surprisingly good for the money. I think people noted that in heavier cars with larger sidewalls, ie on 17's with say a 50 profile, they reckon the sidewalls are a little soft but on light cars and smaller sidewalls they're very good. There isnt many professional reviews around so I researched a little and took the plunge. The done well on track in very warm conditions and didnt fall apart albeit I wasnt pushing very hard. I didnt buy them for track but decided to see just how much grip they had.
  10. T'was the m3 owners that swayed me lol
  11. They're really good and mines have settled in nicely. Remember and take it easy for the first while as they come with a protective agent on them which needs to wear off. I went a quick motorway/country road blast for about 40miles and it seemed to take it off nicely.
  12. Good good. Glad your sorted! What did you end up going for?

    Helmet wanted

I spent time trying on helmets before buying online. There isn't many places up here that do helmets so was quite difficult. For what the guy wants a cheaper helmet will be fine. Wouldn't use them on a bike though.

    Helmet wanted

Try Lids direct. You'll get a decent helmet for 150-200 quid which will do for what you want
  15. Remember and change the flywheel also
  16. what you may find is that people are only upgrading when the old ones are shot. I'm about to remove some from mines. They have done 30k miles now dont know how much life is left in them to be honest. If you want them I can measure them and i'm sure we can do a deal to suit us both
  17. I ran 235's on track for a year, it allows a little more slip on the rear before the traction control kicks in.
  18. I would recommend 235 as 275 for your rims
