    Head Unit

i fitted a double din touchscreen unit for danny, a pioneer 4000 somthing or other, was 300quid i think but did everything! bear in mind all the little fitting bits add up and cost a fair bit ontop sometimes
  3. +1 on the cleaning, i dont think i'd cope without the wet look from waxing i'd see the matt as a challenge to make shiny will look mate, look forward to piccies

    Noob question

CS or other traders on here will pipe up they are very easy to fit (wheel off, spacer on, bolts done up, wheel back on) as long as you get the right type again the traders should look after you here 20mm all round is a common selection although some people like to space the back a tiny bit more and go for 25mm rear 20mm front
  6. oops missed my 2000th post earlier this week Thats a fair amount of spamming in 6 months... It took me 2 years to gt to 2000 posts... although i read more than i post. to much time spent here by many i think
  7. abbey might borrow it off my car and test it on theirs, i know they expressed an interest in it. thats not a bad plan
  8. Didn't the yellow GT4 have a transverse engine ? whatever lets you justify it in your mind
  9. i pay at pump so i dont buy the sandwiches the transverse bit made me looks very nice mate
  10. +1 if you cant trust them with a hammer and your balls on an anvil, dont unzip your trousers in the first place
  11. hmm i think i should start some cad drawings and buy some metal (note to self, must suppress big kid tendencies)
  12. pm danny350z, i fitted his pioneer head unit and noticed he had one. i asked him about it, he said he never used it. may be worth a shot
  13. Not exactly a sin (thunderbolts won't get you for it), but a no-no in the Zed - I've eaten three course meals in the X-Trail though (to mask the smell of smoke mainly). And smokers can notice the smell; everytime in get in the X-Trail I think "God, this stinks" ok, hairy muff i do end up eating in the zed over a 7 hour journey, iv not been hit by any lightning bolts yet but im expecting it.
  14. sounds ace mine hit a good few kerbs and then eventually went full on into one and cracked alot of bits fancy rebuilding it though
  15. +1 eating in the car is a sin. to clarify, you can eat in anything I consider to be a crap car  dont do it to the poor zed though smokers dont tend to notice the smell like non smokers do personally it makes me feel ill
  16. probably not a bad idea! i couldn't bring myself to ever build a nitro engine from scratch... the thought of something i put together running at 30,000-40,000 rpm+ is pretty terrifying! true indeed. i think it would be more fun to machine the car first and then go from there. i already have a beginners one gathering dust i can rob parts from since its unexpected meeting with a kerb
  17. im tempted to build one from scratch, but then im tempted to build an engine from scratch aswell think i'll start with a pre built engine
  18. +1 and people smoking in cars is a sin
  19. i have some refurb work to be done so i'd be interested to see how this price compares

    Boot space

Have you invented some sort of remote driving module thingy that allows you to steer the Zed from a following vehicle? I know you're a clever lad but ........... haha, no, it is possible. take out the spare tyre and boot mats. slot one of the 275's under the strut brace and in the well put the other 275 over the strut brace and slide it back in place shut boot open passenger door and wind seat all the way back put the two 245's side by side on the seat tilted toward the door use bungees to secure for safety shut door carefully bobs your tranny auntie its easily possible same with the stock wheels
