i need somewhere to mount my plate, and i don't like any of the nissan mounting points, plus i find the plate very ugly, so for meets etc i like the ability to remove it for the clean front look would have been simpler to get a pretty plate like me mwhaha seems alot of trouble to me number plate mess's up the whole look of the front of the car, it pained me to put my plate back on, but wanted to stay legal. i also didn't want to drill huge holes in my bumper that were visible. actually looking at the pic i just posted up, fitting looks pretty easy famous last words

Unfortunately I don't think he did. I'm sure I've read a report that he died later in hospital The track design etc and safety will have never thought this possible because it's almost un-heard of that it would have happened. Obviously it has and it's a horrific accident and as such surely there will now be a redesign and some protection built not only on that corner but all of them. As the athletes push themselves there's more and more chance of something like this happening. But you can't put an athlete in a competition and expect them to not push themselves. I don't know whether it would have prevented any injury but even something like a Perspex cover (as to not cover any viewing if that's why the gap is there) would have at least meant the athlete wouldn't have hit a steel girder, he'd have been skidding down the track instead. agreed a perspex cover is all it needed, they expect to go skidding on thier arse down it if the have an off, not come out the track. if i were the other competitors i wouldnt be able to race

it would be a pain on axle stands but can be done, on a ramp it would be nice and easy. its not a difficult process, just some bolts to undo (may be rusted and stuck).

Oh and thanks for your hard work getting to this stage I will give pete a call on monday to see how he wants to deal with the payments/deliveries etc i think its best to finalise the GB list a little after the pictures to let people decide based on them.

can anyone clarify what part the sliding hub is? personally my gearbox started with a light crunch in 6th which then moved to include 5th and its bad enough now i have a new gearbox on its way. fortunately on the warranty money not mine. be very sure they have fixed the problem as it could be pricey, people on here will help lots!! EDIT: we believe mine to be a manufacturer fault with the synchromesh

just to clarify, it is arriving on monday, i will be at work so i'll need to pick it up from the post office afterwards about 4:30, by the time i get home it will be getting dark so no pictures on the car. i will however come home at lunchtime on tuesday and fit it and take pictures for you all.
