  1. I got a set from a breaker on ebay, was easy enough - think it cost me about 30 quid. Just search for breaking 350z, the ad will normally be for selling a wheel nut or something like that and say "all other parts available" just drop them an email.
  2. Hi Jez What year is the car? Im after the plastic around the heater controls and the gear lever from a pre facelift car - let me know if you have it and how much you want for it. Cheers Mart
  3. A lot of posts on t'internet seem to mention its an issue with the ABS pump here and here for two examples
  4. The drive that leads round to my mums and 4 other houses has been dug up by the gas board for over a week. One of their workmen drove round to look yesterday, drove over one of the boards that they had used to cover the hole collapsed and his van fell sideways into the hole. He then had to call 3 other gas men to come and help him get it out I wish I had been there with a video camera, could have got 250 quid from You've Been Framed
  5. it was kind of decided that it would be too hard to organise a group buy for such a big and bulky item when all the interested people were scattered all over the country. Also having them sprayed up front is a bit of a no go because you need to get a good match. You wont beat Alex's standard price for a new bonnet
  6. Yes it can - see here for a guide Really improves the look of the rear of the car I even have a spare unit under my desk if anyone is scared of doing this to their own lamp
  7. I would say the answer to that was.... The terminals are possibly corroded, you might be able to use a bit of sand paper to clean them up, or check if the fuse has blown.
  8. clicky linky If you click on the red link in my post it takes you to Huskys original thread with pictures of the lighting
  9. Its not quite as simple as just changing a few bulbs Im afraid, they are all surface mount led's , and its a lot of soldering, swearing and risk of damage to circuit boards before its done. This thread gives some of the details, in addition to the LED's you also probably want the gauge faces that are from Blackcatcustoms Im currently in discussion with Simon at EssentialMini who have been doing this kind of modification to Minis for several years, including the BlackCatCustom gauge faces, about trying this on a Z .
  10. Here you go . one of the most pleasing mods I ever did
  11. How much would postage to Aberdeen be for the kit plus the extra lens?
  12. I saw the thread title and immediately thought..... and now Im hungry Interesting article, but yes Coldel I can see your point. We have recently lost 4 engineers from a quota of 8 and and the remaining team are trying hard to keep the company afloat , but there is no way we can afford to take other people on to cover the workload.
  13. Definitely try and give ZMANALEX a shout he may be able to get you sorted for a lot less
  14. My "custom" Whalen Shift Machine I always had these on my Mini's - and asked Doug to make me one to fit a Z. Love it
  15. Cheers then Ill do a guide with the info you provide and then we should be able to kick off a group buy if anyone else is interested.
  16. Rabster did you not have to break into the switch loom in the door panels at all?? Just been reading some install guides for G35 and they went direct into the door loom at the window switches which sounds a pain in the a*s to be honest. If you could post up more details when you get chance of colours etc Id be really interested, Ive ordered a module from KP so will post up a detailed guide once its done, but any pointers up front would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Im not sure about where the leveller is located but this is the guide for adjusting the headlights
  18. Husky was putting something together for this, it probably went when the Akari designs page got pulled, if you email him he might be able to send you over the details of what he did
  19. Here are the RULES for a group buy on here. I think we would need to work on getting a wiring guide set up but apart from that I dont see a problem, this was the guide Cookbot put together for his folding mirror mod, something like that would make it fairly idiot proof! .
  20. Yes you can , Ive just done this. I bought a set of import switches off ebay...well I actually bought two sets ... first set were from a G35 and they didnt work , the window wouldnt go all the way up (even after a window reset). The second set were from an import 350z , fitted the drivers switch and it didnt make the passenger window auto up but as soon as I fitted the passenger side switch then it was auto up from both sides. Only other problem I had was the second set of switches the passenger side had a window lock button the same as on the drivers side... this obviously wouldnt fit but took the switch housing off and found that it was the same internally - there is a connection for the window lock but it just isnt used, so just swapped the housing over and it worked fine. When I get back from offshore I will test it with other housing and see if the window lock works , then I might modify the trim to be able to fit it. I just emailed all the people that were breaking import 350z's on ebay. Prices ranged from 40 quid to 120 quid for a set of switches.
  21. The KP Technologies forum lists the wiring colours for a 2007 Z as From the service manual these are the wires needed to install the KPtechnologies Mirror Tilt module. Please verify all wiring with a digital meter before making any connections: Power (KPtech Red) - Green @ ignition switch Ground (KPtech black) - Chassis ground Ignition (KPtech yellow) - Black / Red @ ignition switch Reverse (KPtech purple) - Light green in drivers kick panel going towards back Pass Mirror Up - Yellow / Black @ mirror switch Pass Mirror Down - Purple / Blue @ mirror switch Rabster seemed to say that he actually found most of the wiring in the passenger footwell which would definitely be easier than wiring into the switches. Would need to confirm if the colours changed on the earlier Z's, seems to remember Cookbot had an issue with his folding mirror module. Im sat offshore at the mo so cant check any of this out, but if Rabster could confirm the colours and locations that should give most people a fair crack at getting it working. I think Rabster has done group buys on these units for other forums before so he could probably start another one on here for people interested.
  22. Surely you could just make a note of the wire colours that you have connected to in your loom and take some better pics? Im really interested in this module, anyone prepared to be the (its a guinea pig honest!)
