Unlucky about the scrape ... I hate that when you try and be clever about things and it actually works out worse off ...It's happened to me a few times when I'm sure my extra precautions would pay off ... but instead I've had to pay out but hey ... you never know it might work out better in the long run if your old one was on it's way out anyway ...

I'm also selling a bluetooth adapter on eBay at the moment and have just had a question from a Greek person asking if the cradle is required to use it ... I've got a funny feeling it could be the same person .. LoL I told him I'm not prepared to post anywhere outside of the UK regardless

You can repeat the procedure if it fails ... I've tried this before and I somehow managed to clear my original key but after repeating the process I was able to restore my original key You don't need to register your original key just use it to unlock the vehicle ...

Sorry to hear about your bad luck mate ... if it's any consolation something Very similar happened to me on the day I picked up my Zed ... I'd just had the car valeted and was at Shell waiting to fill up when somene scraped the drivers side ... I had to go through insurance in the end ... No they haven't done that yet ... I was really looking forward to meeting some new enemies ... They're all too busy fighting with each other at the moment anyway ... LoL

I got the cable from Deal Extreme: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.28528 It comes with Scan Tool which isn't bad for checking error codes etc ... but is slightly basic ... The Digimoto software I managed to find on the Internet ...

Thanks ... I had a guy from chips away give me a quote for the repairs and he recommended using a tissue which was rolled to a point ... I was going to try that but might use a needle or cocktail stick now ....

Ian, Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation ... I got the Digimoto software a few days ago and think it's Great! I haven't discovered it's full potential yet but it's fairly straight forward and easy to setup ...

LoL ... I was a bit disappointed after watching the third episode ... It was average at best! I'm hoping they'll step it up a bit soon!

I was just wondering if anyone had used one of these in past as I've just purchased one to cover a few stone chips and there is not much in the way of instructions supplied with it ... They do provide you with some nice pictures but I'd rather go with a first hand opinion ... From looking at the pictures, you have to apply over the scratch and then use the gauze type stuff on the tip on the pencil to remove the excess ... Any help much appreciated ...

I've been a major Stargate fan ever since the film ... I've seen every epioside of SG1 and SGA too! I didn't think much of the first 2 episodes of SGU either ... I particularly don't like Robert Carlyle's character ... I'm hoping it grows on me like Atlantis did after a few episodes ... I will still watch every episode regardless

I personally prefer my Blackberry Curve 8900 to an iPhone .... I've used both and although the iPhone does have a great interface, the Blackberry wins for me due to its excellent functionality and ease of use ...

I think I'm going to do the same ... I can't justify having the car painted just because of a few stone chips ... I'm gonna let them build up over time until it gets to a point where I feel it NEEDS to be done ... Anyway I can think of better ways I can spend the money on the Zed in the meantime ...

I had a guy out from Chips Away today to have a look at a few stone chips I've got on the drivers side of the car ... He said from looking at it that he'd only be able to do a touch up on the scratches and although the scratch would still be there ... it would just be coloured in ... He wasn't prepared to spray the car in any away and in the end advised me to get a touch up stick from Nissan and have a go at doing it myself ... The guy also mentioned that Silver is the hardest colour to match ... Sounds like there's some conflicting information there ... It might just be down to the guy and what he's capable of ....
