I had the exact same problem I just removed the dodgy nissan rubber bits today and replaced both sides with Rawl plugs ... LoL

Hey, Just wanted to run this past you guys incase you had any ideas ... I've had my Zed for 6 months now and haven't had any issues with it so far ... until this morning ... First thing this morning I went to start it up and it didn't start in the normal amount of time it usually takes ... I had to keep trying for about 5 minutes before it actually started up fine ... So I took it for a fairly long drive to charge up the battery in case it was weak ... I then left it parked up for about an hour and tried it again ... same problem ... it still started up after about 5 minutes of trying but this time the Check Engine, ESP Off and Skid lights were all on ... I tried the ECU reset from the guides section and that has cleared the lights but it is still taking a long time to start up ... Can anyone suggest anything ...

I have the same dilemna .... I want to add some more I.C.E to my Zed while retaining the sterring wheel controls ... Does anyone have any recommendations on Double Din Screens and wiring etc ... Thanks

Hey, Just wanted your opinions on good diagnostic software before I went out and purchased anything ... I already have the OBD II cable so was mainly just after the sofware that provides the most information for my 2004 Zed, and will let me reset any error codes that are displaying. I've heard that ProScan is pretty good ... has anyone had any experience with it?

CS, How much can they do the P3 service for? I'm not entirely sure what services my car has had in the past so thought I'd start with the P3 and then just rotate as normal ...

LoL ... by far one of the funniest threads i've read so far ... but I totaly understand the frustration when there are so many bad drivers out on the roads ... I feel I have to be extra careful even on short journeys incase some idiot goes into my Zed ... and then when I get to my destination I have to go through the whole parking knightmare ....

I have the same dilemna every time I come to park my Zed .... I'm not proud of it but if there are 2 spaces available then I do use up both ... or park in a way so no-one will want to use the adjacent space ... I always check my car everytime I come back to it ... and so far have been lucky ... My drivers door has got a few dings on it from careless people so I wouldn't be overly pi**ed off if a new one was to appear .. but my drivers door is mint!

Nice one buddy ... I have had mine for about 6 months now and it still makes me smile every time I go for a drive ... Infact I even look forward to my 20 mile commute on "A Roads" to work in the mornings ... LoL

Hey, I'm actually having the exact same problem ... I hadn't noticed it before but it's become more apparent since I've had my car back from the bodyshop ... I've had a quick look around under the arches and couldn't see any obvious areas it was catching on ... It'd be interesting to find out if you do find a cause/solution ...

Woo Hoo! I wasn't expecting to have the Zed back before the end of this week but got a call from ADR in Leicester to say the car was ready for collection ... I picked it up this afternoon and it looks PERFECT! They've done a really good job on the dent caused by the accident and also the front bumper. I was really impressed with the service and quality of work. They even valeted the car inside and out and sorted out a few other things like the squeaky door card etc ... I didn't get a chance to take any pictures today due to the downpour of rain but will try and get some before and after pics up on here tomorrow ... Anyway that's my weekend sorted now ... Full tank of petrol, box of 20 cigarettes and the longest drive ever! ... Can't wait!

Well I had another update from the garage doing the repair work today ... They're gonna sort out the drivers side and repair any damamge caused by the accident ... and even offered to sort out quite a deep scratch on my front bumper for an extra 50 quid ... I thought I might as well get it done as they have the car anyway and I'll still have the courtesy boat in the meanwhile .... So fingers crossed ... When it comes back in a week or so it'll be looking better than it has in a long time!

Can someone post a link to some Aero blades ... maybe from eBay or something as I'm intrigued now ... Thanks

I actually rang Nissan a few weeks back and was quoted .... wait for it ..... £230 + VAT !!!

Well just thought I'd give you guys am update on the whole situation ... I had the accident back in April and now 3 months later the guy is still not willing to pay the £480 that the dealer quoted ... so I've had to go through insurance ... I've only just dropped my Zed off to the Insurance approved repairs .. for which they say the paitnwork is guaranteed for life ... seems ok to me ... They've given me a X-Type Jaguar in the mean time and after about 10 mins of driving it ... I'M BORED! I really hope they speed up the repair job so that I can enjoy driving again ....

I have exactly the same problem with the missing top 2 brackets ... Originally I was only missing one so gave the other to a friend so he could make me a matching one ...but he's only gone and lost that one too! If you have any luck in making the top brackets can you let me know ... I would be interested in how you did it .. Thanks!

I have the same problem only that one of the upper mounts was missing when i purchased the vehicle ... Nissan won't do the mounts separately ... and suggested that I goto B&Q and try and make one out of a random metal bracket ... I've since taken the mount I did have to a metal worker I know and he says it's a 5 minute job to make one ... 3 weeks on I'm still waiting ... LoL

WOW! I've been watching your eBay auction as my gear knob has some signs of wear on it ... Just had a look today and couldn't believe how much it actually sold for ... I'm tempted to sell my gear knob from my car now too .. LoL Was that a legitimate bid or some idiot just messing around?

My handbrake is pretty weak too ... If I don't pull it up as far as possible then the car will start rolling ... Can this be adjusted? It's really started to annoy me recently to the point where I've even dreamt about it ... In the dream I park the car up and use the handbrake thinking it's all ok ... then when i get out and start walking off ... the car starts to roll back and scrapes a wall along one side ... LoL You can imagine my relief when I woke up!
