Just came back from there 6 weeks ago: - Taxis are the cheapest and safest way to get around. Don't touch the buses. They are still finishing the trams so only a few stations are working. You don't get shot wearing bikini's on the beaches but most beaches are privately owned by the hotels. There are free/public beaches though. Drinking is only done at Bars/restaurants within hotel complexes. It is, as mentioned before, similar to west-end prices. Passport control doesn't require any forms to fill out - you just queue up and answer a few questions. It'll take an hour + to get through. As for things to do/see. Burj Al Arab (the Sail shaped hotel) - book 'high tea'. Expensive (like tea at the ritz) but would is a fantastic experience with awesome views. (you cannot get to this hotel without a high-tea booking or being a resident). Mall of the Emirates is a good traditional shopping Mall (like Blue water / lakeside) - all UK or American shops, lots of places to eat and hosts Ski Dubai (only in-door black ski run in the world). If you want to see pure opulence - then trek down to Burj Dubai Mall. Biggest Mall in the world, with a Gold Souk (market) that'll scare the hell out of you. Also hosts the tallest skyscraper in the world with an excellent fountain show each evening. If you want to do a full-on sight seeing tour - get yourself onto the 'Brown bus' tour ... same company that runs the london red-bus tours. they go to all the big sites and attractions. Also check out the 'dune bashing'. enjoy.

Urban maps ?

We are talking very different ball parks here. The 350z engine comes very well tuned out of the Nissan factory. A sprinkling of a few £k isn't going to give you huge HP improvements. For this NA tuned car its all about improving the drive-ability and usability of the power. If you are looking for large increases in HP then the only significant step forward is FI. On a personal note - I would love to supercharge my engine.. but being the HR unit, there aren't a lot of choices or proven experience just yet...

It seem to be that there are still a few people getting hung up on the numbers themselves. I know its nice to write 'I've got 300xyz's ... ' but the most important part is whether you enjoy the change that's been made to your car. Now I've had the chance to drive both the cars referenced in this post before and after the tuning work and I would be very happy with these changes. Throttle response is now instant and the revs feel so must more smooth and free. It really does bring back that child like smile when you plant your right foot As for the package itself - lets not forget all the things that get delivered: - unlocked ECU. Giving you the chance to continually tune and adjust for your mods and not have to pay upwards of £2000 for a replacement or piggyback unit - improved throttle response. Electronically restricted - the UpRev tunes gives you 100% throttle when you need it. - adjusted MPH limit from 155 to 180 ... so those that might have monstrous HP and access to a private road/runway - improved torque - for me this is more important than the HP numbers ... this is what makes you go! Both remaps have shown torque improvements and this can be felt when driving. - improved HP. Go float you boat on this one .. additionally, with the HR engine - I've personally seen an improvement in MPG ... currently around 2mpg. Over time this alone will give me my money back from the UpRev package cost.

or the 350z wikipedia talks about the engine differences between the 2 engines - but if I remember correctly I think the change was from single overhead cams to twin overhead cams...

I've used a cocktail stick for the past 5 years on my Zeds and found that to be the best. I do agree about the 'clear' coat ... its a pig to get that right. I've not yet been successful... always have to take it off... and then wan over it.

Was a fantastic day... although I had to 'car share' with Dominique and hence missed out on driving my car on the parade lap - but still was thoroughly enjoyable as a passenger. I particularly loved the part where the blue Z stormed past with its Stillen? Supercharger whining - just love that sound!!!

Nice result. Just for clarity - I understand the GPS receiver in a UK car in underneath the plastic covering on the rear strut brace. Any blobs or whatever around the sunglasses holder/rear view mirror area is the mobile phone kit antenna.

I've not seen your issues on 3.5.3 or 3.5.4.pre .... (am running 64bit linux) ... However, I do need to check out Chrome at some point soon(ish)
