  1. I've been trying to get my hands on a Pioneer P88RS Mk2 but they are hard to find. Pioneer don't make them any more (hence the rarity) but these are one of the best SQ head units out there. It's a single DIN but is understated and classy. Personally, it looks like I'm going to have to go for the alternative SQ head unit for my build, the Alpine 9887R (can't find the Pioneer anywhere). Good luck with your build Slimjim
  2. ...and where are you? I'm from Neath and also have a GM GT zed....but no Nismo kit
  3. Lovely car Wish mine was as minty. Enjoy.
  4. Apologies for the late reply, I've been at the F1 in Silverstone for a few days Anyway, tried the UZO (Unidentified Zed Object) in the rectangular hole in the engine undertray and the hole is too big for it....so the search continues.
  5. Hmmmm that's a bloody good call. I'll check tomorrow and update this thread.
  6. at CSI Looks like I'll have to go on an under bonnet fact finding mission. I suppose the only consolation is that if you guys don't know what it is then it's a part that doesn't need to be removed during normal servicing activity. I'll take another look tomorrow and see if there's something I missed, thanks for the replies guys
  7. Looks like same graph on Facebook (under Horsham Developments) but details state the car has a Y Pipe so not sure if it's yours (as you say Y Pipe to come)? Good gains and it's something I'm looking to do when my OEM exhaust drops off
  8. Anyone Thought this may prove tricky. Any guesses?
  9. I am new to Zed's having recently purchased my 55 plate 276bhp GM 350z. Today I replaced the aux belts and did an oil change. While removing the engine undertray, the following rubber part was sat in the tray. I thought it could be a bung for the flywheel/clutch viewing hole but could not see where it could go. Any thoughts on what this is so I can put it back where it belongs? Thanks Key shown for size reference.
  10. you checked talk audio? Yes mate, posted on there a few weeks back. Even contacted a chap that's a main supplier of Pioneer in the UK and he's been trying to get 2 of them for months without success. There's been a few Mk1's come up on ebay but I'm going to hang on as long as possible for a Mk2. I'll probably end up buying the Alpine 9887R but prefer the look of the Pioneer (and probably sound as well). Thanks for the tip Dblock
  11. I'm still after one of these head units if anyone knows of one around.
  12. I should have one available in 4/5 weeks time as my zed is getting a new ice install then. When the original BOSE is removed, I'll find this post and see if you still need the sub
  13. Welcome mate. I'm a relative newbie from Neath, the wettest part of South Wales (for the last 12 hrs anyway). Recently bought my zed too and loving it so far. So where are you based?
  14. Just caught the end of it......a mondeo keeping up with a 370Z....c'mon Anyway, right at the end when they show the final chase sequence, as the mondy flips, the 370Z can be seen parked up behind it, when it was chasing it seconds earlier. As my son would say "major fail"
  15. Ok mate, no worries, thanks for your help
  16. I've got a box in matching size in the same area with a jl 10w3v3 in it, it's properly jammed in and the flappy bose plastic grill cover needs felt pads Thanks for the tips. Have you got any pictures of the install?
  17. That's almost trouser accident territory....looking
  18. A-ha, good spot, I've been trawling through the ICE section and missed that.
  19. Does anyone know how much space/volume I'd have to play with (to build a new sub box) if the BOSE 10" Sub was removed. Ideally I'd like to leave the grill in place so that it still looks factory BUT with a much better sound quality box/sub combo in there. I've seen some posts of people's builds but want to max the available space, hence wanting to know the max volume available. Thanks
  20. Can the Do-Luck filters be cleaned? If so, how much are the cleaning kits and where would we get them from
  21. Pics as promised. Car was fully detailed today by Peter at Eclipse Auto Valet Swansea and I can recommend Peter 100%, I'm really pleased with the results. The pics do not do the car justice and it's fantastic in the flesh. I'm thinking of going for a gloss or satin vinyl roof + a rear screen tint, any thoughts on that combo?
  22. There's a 2 month waiting list at the moment and that's just lucky there was a spare week in Lee's schedule. All details will be revealed in due course. Really don't know what will happen yet, just know that I spent nearly 4hrs over there earlier this week and was totally gobsmacked. I've been out of car hi-fi for ohhh 15 years so the quality of the latest stuff was amazing. Still, got to get a P88RS II first
  23. Already watching that one but thanks for the heads up As DBlock has said this particular head unit is one of the best for sound quality based car hi-fi installations. Check out the review here http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/index.php/in ... 8rsii-r584 It's been discontinued for a while and it's replacement is over £800 now so well out of my "source" budget. @DBlock - I'm leaving my zed in the capable hands of Lee at Sonic Frontiers
  24. Hi, I'm after a Pioneer Premier DEH-P88RS II head unit for an SQ install Thanks, Dean
  25. Thanks for the info Mike, I can trace & identify the wires far more easily now I know that
