  1. Supra MUCH better built and more reliable, and faster... The zed has a better driving feel, and the power delivery is so much nicer. We have both.. I love both, but if I had to choose... probably the 350z... The zed + forced induction is an almost perfect car in my eyes... Better even then the E46 M3 CSL - Which is min of £26K
  2. Yep, if you like the sound of hollow tin cans being hit together very quickly!
  3. Zed has the muscle feel when you drive it.. E46 M3 does not. Plus there's the whole drifting thing and insurance on an M3 is absurd! Hate the ways M3s sound... But it has to be said... probably the best four seat coupe you can get for 10 - 15 grand.
  4. Ok so iphone doesnt let me view the vid. Flash player needed or something. Nurrish, would be great if you could list the exact parts you used for this build and post up some more vids and dyno charts when you have them! Am looking to do this soon!
  5. There's some crazy gains with the haltech ecu on an N/A car.
  6. gotta vouch for superbad being one of the funniest! oh and harold and kumar series!
  7. ^ I'm 25, had mine almost a year now. Don't know how anyone under 25 can afford the insurance though! I bought mine a few weeks before my 25th b'day, parked it on the drive and waited (extremely patiently) for the day to come round before insuring it. Saved a fortune for those few weeks of torture Oh yes, and I like long walks on the beach... Insurance for me was only £600 through bell this was when I was 21.!!! Wtf!? I'm 25 and my insurance is not that low! I imagine you brought some ncb certificates?
  8. You may be able to use the stock ECU and get it mapped via uprev.

    Stealth Look 350z

I really really like the look of that. Needs those eye lid things to make it looke even more evil!
  10. How cheap!?! Will never sell my '52 now!
  11. +1 However you may be able to drive it there (save on the cost of a flatbed). This is taken from my350z: - To safely get to a shop if you install the vortech yourself, you can either just not put on the rear cog belt so the blower doesn't turn and the car will drive NA. You can also just leave the stock belt on and not drive any of the vortech pulleys. Just don't go into positive boost on the drive there. Either way, go easy on the throttle until you're tuned Can't wait to get my vortech project started now! Good luck with it! Can't wait to see the dyno charts!
  12. Good point - My 400bhp supercharged Zed wasn't significantly quicker than my previous NA Zed (300bhp approx) over the 1/4 mile 13.9 (SC) vs 14.1 (NA). This was all down to traction. In fact my previous NA Zed had a quicker 0-60 time of 5.1 secs (NA) vs 5.4secs (SC). However I've addressed this by buying a set of trackday 18's with Toyo R888's and am just now in the process of fitting a Kaaz diff so this should see my 1/4 mile times fall significantly. Next 1/4 mile isn't untill Mar though so won't know result till then. My Zed already has Tein Superstreets with EDFC and Nismo Anitroll Bars + control arms + upgraded clutch and lightweight flywheel so theres not much more I can do to improve the drivetrain. That's VERY interesting... I'm thinking of going down the SC route very soon and it's good to hear info like this. It may sound weird, but have you tried to weigh down your boot and then do a 1/4 mile run? It does make a difference. The extra weight will give you more traction. I face similar problems with my progressive 100 shot. Though I have not actually measured any times yet. When doing launches with nos on I've noticed that the is constantly trying to get traction. If I leave VDC on then it simply keeps preventing the car from going, whereas if I turn it off then the car is spinning for a while. I think this has alot to do with technique as well as traction though. I find that if I launch gently and then give it the beans then it's definately quicker.
  13. Mate, DON'T waste your time at Nissan. They will shaft you with a problem like this. You're much better off at Abbey. Great that you have taken the right decision. I had a similar issue in the past with my car not starting. Turned out that the ECU was f--ked. Had to get a brand new one from nissan. Not cheap.
  14. Do you sell them only as a set of four? Can take rears off you otherwise...
  15. how much?! Don't tell me it was bayside blue or I will cry!
  16. Definately takes time and skill to master a supra. The turbo kicking in can take a person by supprise! Good luck with the sale buddy! You'll soon start your FI project on the zed no matter how much you deny it now..
  17. I've received three offers of that value... The exhaust works perfectly... and it's NOT stock!
  18. he forgot to mention that he himself got in! He was supposed to say "I got in... anyone else?"
  19. We've had a supra TT for around 9 years. Build quality is MUCH better then the zed (most old japs are way better then the new ones). My zed (in 2 years) has broken down and things going wrong with it... where as our mildly tuned supra has NEVER once put a foot wrong. Having said that, for sheer driving pleasure I do prefer the zed because I like the N/A power delivery. Turbo's are awsome but the supra tends to be all over the place when you kick it round bends. I reckon a supercharged zed would be nicer to drive then a single turbo supra.. but thats just my opinion. The only thing I'd chop my zed in for now is a 34 or 35 GTR... as I don't have money for either.. I think I'm gonna be supercharging in the near future!
  20. probably got around 7 - 8K out of mine. They are wearing on the insides quite alot now.
