Ha, you all make good points. I know that if she did drive it i'm gonna find the alloys kerbed, scrathes and dints all over it. I'd be furious if it happens and would rather avoid the months of not talking in advance. I also love the fact that i've got my own car and i love looking after it and it's just gonna p!ss me off sharing it. Plus i know she wont look after it as well as me! Havent done a budget but i'm pretty sure that we cant afford to pay for another car as well as the zed. The money i've got tied up in the zed could always be put to something else cheaper. Get a decent everyday car that we both can drive and then get an older sports car that i can keep for myself for occassional driving, something along the lines of an rx7. would only occassionally use it so could keep the costs down.

My girlfriend has now decided that she's going to get her driving licence. Now for all that i am in being supportive of her with this it's only going to lead to future issues with my Zed! It's the only car we have and as i'm sure you know the Zed isnt exactly a good car to learn in or a first car to learn the ropes in. I've had enough arse twitching moments with the traction control myself to know that a learner with the rear wheel drive and a wet road is an accident waiting to happen! I dont as a result really want to lose my girlfriend................. or my car! Once she passes we'll get a little cheap run around for her to get to grips with but as a long term solution for the amount of driving we do we cant really justify having 2 cars with the additional expense. Now i think i can hold her off for about 12months after she passes but she's already started mentioning selling the Zed and getting something more suitable between us. She's well aware that it's something that i'm not keen on (as i've made my feelings perfectly clear), but deep down i know that she's actually being sensible and as i result i might have to cave in at some point in the future. Has anybody else had this problem and if so have u got any pointers on how to reconcile it? P.s i know getting rid of my girlfriend would solve the solution but i'd like to try and avoid that one

Looking at the 2 side by side I don't think there's actually that much difference and think the 350 is easier on the eye. Although saying that some of the 370s styling does look nice. Love them lights

I've got Rays and love them. They look in pretty decent condition as well.

Pretty scary seeing a zed in that state. That's a lot of work to be done. I'm impressed with ur commitment, reckon it'll be very rewarding looking back at those photos once you've got it finally finished! Love those side wings by the way

There's a couple of zed drivers that live near me that don't wave. May be they just don't like me!!!

nice post with the 100k costs. scary how much it actually costs and you think what else you could do with that money. still worth every penny tho! 273k miles how the hell have they managed that. even if they got an 03 plate that'd be about 45k miles a year! Great car to do it in however!!

sorry to hear about ur engine, that's not good news. the LPG conversion doesnt sound such a good idea now for people if that's what it does to ur engine! "At least the sun is still shining outside!" - I'm impressed with your positive outlook tho

they do T-cut for windows???! I never had a clue I've got some small scratches on my windows but just thought they wouldnt be that easy to clean up. Has any one used this yet and what are there opinions?

cheers for the offer guys but i want to get the standard one fixed so it looks like new. had the crack in it for a while now and it just keeps annoying me so wont to get it fixed as normal. not sure how the JDM one would work without the power socket, it's handy to have although a decent cup holder would be handy. not keen on the current ones. Just realised as well that it's not the alarm sensor that's broke, it's the casing for the microphone.

Hi, i'm after some replacement interior parts as stated below as i've managed to put a crack in mine. The first is the lower part of the passenger dash, the bit with the power point and the card holder. The other is the alarm sensor casing infront of the rear view mirror. Does any one know where i could be able to get these?? Cheers

Noticed this problem with mine. Someone cut in front of me, shouted various 4 letter words and then slammed on the horn. Considering the beast of a car it is i was expecting to hear a massive grunt (the Brian Blessed voice of horns say) instead i got i limp high pitched Joe Pessquali sound! Was no longer annoyed with the person who cut me up cos i was just laughing at the horn If i'm ever in traffic now i just rev the engine, much nicer sound than the horn

In 5th gear the zed should outpace the exige. Lotus' are great at short sprints and handling but they havent got the big engines to cope with really high speeds where as the zeds just a brute!

Keep on looking as there's definitely good zed's to be found out there. In fact Philtheforce is selling his import on the forum for £8400. Not sure what exactly u were looking for but if monies a factor then i dont think u can argue with that. Plus anyone on the forum is likely to really look after their cars so u wont have a stealer just passing it on to make money. Cant believe they even said to u that they'll just sell it on to someone else ! Some poor git is going to pick that up and get the same problems u had. I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole!

sorry you've gottta sell your Zed but that's one hell of a trip your going on. thats gonna be a fantastic bargain to pick that up for that price. it's a lot of car for just over £8k. makes u worry just how much Zed's are worth now a days

Really looking forward to this as well. The first modern warfare was just immense! Couldnt get into WaW as much, going from modern guns to those crap rifles just felt tedious! It's PS3 for me! Understand that playing on a PC would be better but just have the PS3 for convienience (plus the bluray player). I'm not into all this PS3 v Xbox rivalry about which version is better either. Why people choose to slag off each others consoles is beyond me. At the end of the day they're both really good and the differences in the actual game play are negligable!

if car 2 isnt an import then i'd go for that one. however it'd be best to go view them both and have a good test drive of each. they sound so similar that the best way will be to just get a feel of each car and go with which one you thinks best.
