  1. Welcome to the OC Looks well kept. Even the seats showing very little signs of wear
  2. @Silverthorn If I was your local plod I'd be pulling you over so often you'd be mega p!##ed off to the point you'd be like..... "LOOK officer Headphones..... I know it's slammed lower than most and my rims poke out a bit, but can you give me a break and hassle someone else YOU'VE ALREADY TAKEN A DOZEN SELFIES WITH THE CAR THIS WEEK ALONE!"
  3. A local traffic warden definitely agrees with you. He wrote a ticket for my orange zed. "Make: Nissan Model: 350z Colour: Unknown" I wish I took a photo of that ticket
  4. Fellow Manchester member here. Post up a pic of your zed and I'll keep an eye out for you on my travels. The last Zed I saw in Manchester was a gunmetal 370z on Kingsway I think last week. Was it you I was driving behind?
  5. Proper well sorted 370z there. Zeds are totally transformed with a few mods. Amazing how so many different wheel designs suit the Z. I even remember someone fitting BMW 6 or 7 series rims to his zed and it actually worked really well due to their deep concave design!
  6. Those rims are just to die for Especially love the concaveness of the rears.
  7. Oops.....my bad
  8. PS I think you need 4.7 litres for a full oil change too so a 4 litre can wouldn't be enough. The one I found is 5 litres
  9. For an extra £1.25 I'd go Castrol edge On offer here.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Castrol-EDGE-Titanium-5W-40-5W40-Fully-Synthetic-Engine-Oil-5-LitRES-MOTOR-/143989624448
  10. @Brummiestormer You should post up more of your Temper Orange in different lighting conditions. Very rarely get to see this colour
  11. Got a birthday coming up so I'll put that on a wish list
  12. Congratulations on your incoming chariot. I'm an owner of a much older 05 zed so not so knowledgeable on your questions. I'm sure others will be along with more help. Welcome to the OC anyway Loads of good info here. Sometimes I find it easier to use Google to search info on the OC rather than using the dedicated search function. Eg type 350z-uk.com gallery gaskets It'll throw up lots of threads.... https://www.google.com/search?q=350z-uk+gallery+gaskets&oq=350z-uk+gallery+gaskets&aqs=chrome..69i57.13603j0j7&client=ms-android-xiaomi-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  13. You guys will have to give me an insight with regards to the good the bad and the ugly of car shampoo. I've only ever used Turtlewax and Autoglym shampoo decades ago before switching to Simoniz wash n wax when I discovered Costco about 10-15 years ago. Maybe the £6 for 5 litres is just to hard for me to resist
  14. @msitpro Looks as delicious as an original glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut
  15. Welcome to the OC Looking mean in black
  16. Amazing how well kept this is.
  17. Maybe not. But. I've heard that if you drink it you'll be on the toilet with your rear trumpeting away with the glorious sound of a VQ engine though
  18. This is one of the most flattering pics I've seen of that blue.......hats off to you and your Zed
  19. @Whitevanman and @Humpy You guys have found some top backdrops to show off your Zs. Makes all the difference. You lot will have to make do with my garden hedge..... AGAIN Washed and rinsed down with Turtlewax Dry and Shine
  20. To be honest the lips haven't done badly considering they've seen daily use for 14 years! When I got them everyone said I should change them for winter wheels every year as the lips wouldn't last. No regrets from me for 14 years daily enjoyment out of them.
  21. The centers are still A1 so before I go the refurb route I've ordered some paint stripper. Going to spray a little on a brush and test it on a small section of the lip. The clearcaot looks incredibly thin so hopefully not too difficult for the stripper to aid removal. When whiteworm hit the diamond cut faces of my Kia's alloys, the lacquer came off in sheets bas thick as a screen protector! Will post up pics of my progress. Nothing to lose if I can't maintain the finish with regular cleaning and polishing by hand.
  22. Gorgeous photos of what looked like a glorious day out
  23. My rims have diamond cut lips and centres. On one of the rims, as the years have passed, the rim has lost it's mirror finish and started looking cloudy. I imported these new in 2007 and have used them daily. No removal to fit winter wheels just enjoy them all year round. Since day 1 they have been cleaned weekly with just shampoo and no harsh chemicals. For the first few years they were treated to Chemical Guys Wheel Gaurd monthly. Then around 2012 I started doing a yearly decon and Gtechniq C5 coating. Today I gave the cloudy area a scrape with my fingernail and very fine dusty flecks come away revealing a perfectly untarnished machined finish below. The cloudy layer is still steadfast in certain areas so scraping with my nail to do the whole lip in one sitting is highly unlikely. Do you think this could be layer upon layer of old C5 or just the 14yr old lacquer giving up the ghost. Strange thing is the other 3 rims look fine.
