  1. Ouch.... Mine was nothing compared to that
  2. I'm struggling to find one bit of that article that makes sense The second paragraph starts by saying things will get clearer.... Yet nothing relates to the opening statement.... And not much more makes any sense
  3. Nice project mate First thing I thought was this would suit matt black better than anything out there but the matt silver looks pretty cool
  4. Good luck selling mate. What's next on the list?
  5. Sorry col forgot about that thread lol Fair enough dan I didn't know you meant as a shed. But if it's a write off il use the payout on a new car and top it up a little if need be Cheers for that gixxer. I think the 320cd is top of the list
  6. Lucky it was his stomach that got punched and not a bit lower
  7. Col hatches have never done it for me, even hot hatches Ford vs bmw- build quality, sporty drive, looks inside and out.... Any ford iv been in doesn't get a look into a bmw. You'd never catch me spending the best part of 5k on a ford. Granted the newer ones might be better but to say you'd rather have a ford because a bmw is too dull makes no sense to me
  8. I'm not a grandad or a pimp Gixxer how much to map a 320d?
  9. Any other suggestions? Apart from bmw/merc. No jags thanks
  10. The ride would be way better than skyline lol and my type of e90/92 is out of budget
  11. Cheers GM- already looked at a few of them. Quite like the grey merc at 3999 with amg kit Gixxer I saw a few 320cd's but people have told me they're slow so remap could sort that out. Hadn't thought of that mate
  12. I love how the 3 coupe drives. Wouldn't say it's dull at all. The 5 is a comfy cruiser with probably the best drive in it's class of that age. A mondeo doesn't come close to a bmw GM- doesn't have to be a diesel but if it's petrol then as long as it's not too much of a guzzler. Not fussed on driven wheels. We've got a family wagon so 2 and 4 doors would suit me Would prefer something with at least 2 litres. Not fussed on performance but don't want anything too sluggish Sorry that doesn't narrow it down much
  13. Iv just bought a lexus is for my wife. Live them but not enough to have 2 How much are passat cc's going for? They look ok from some angles but wierd from others
  14. Neil iv never owned a bmw and love how they drive so can't rule them out Hadn't considered an m3 I hate how they sound. I'd prefer a 330 clubsport Dan see my post above about jags. The s type is the worst out the lot
  15. Marzman what issues with the e46? I couldn't have a bmw without being an m sport and the pre facelift e90 doesn't do it for me
  16. Although I do want something a bit more grown up a jag is a stretch too far for me. I'm 31 so not ready for that yet lol Will is love an A5 but they're still sitting above 7k for high miles and no spec The A4 s line is nice to look at but interior is so dated. Was looking at one for my wife but decided against it
  17. As most of you know the skyline has probably reached the end of it's days so il most likely be looking for a new car in the next few days Been driving a car from the mid 90s for 4 years so I was already craving something more modern and comfortable as a runaround. Don't wanna spend big yet so my thinking is get a runaround for now then next year get another project car and (hopefully) splash out on a nice cruiser for daily use At the moment I'm thinking E46 3 coupe, E60 5 sport or CLK sport. Leaning towards the 3 series at the moment but open to suggestions So my criteria: 3-4k, 5 at a push Comfortable A solid feeling car- no lightweight French or jap cars Preferably auto Reasonable miles but not too scared of 100k+ Reasonable economy Up to 10 years old Leather, xenons etc would be nice extras There are more 3 coupes in this price range than the others, the mercs tend to be above 5k mark but some do come below Iv been racking my brain for ages but can't see past the beamers. There must be others iv missed. Fire suggestions away
  18. I know it wasn't a dig lol. I got an is220 for the mrs, stuck a suggestions thread on here in case I hadn't thought of something but stuck with it in the end
  19. You obviously didn't read my last one. It was that detailed that I was sold on it by the first post lol
  20. I like how you put that ballistic that actually made me feel better. Didn't think you were the comforting type lol Il start a car suggestions thread once the insurers have reported back
  21. I think your right Kyle I think I'm annoyed I couldn't prevent it The occupants don't know my profession but when the police asked me I think it did change their view of me
  22. Yea vik it happened really quickly. Like I said I had just pulled out onto a bend with with a long heavy tail happy car like a skyline it was harder to control it especially with the roads so greasy Chirag pretty much summed it up- frustrated but not at anything in particular, just at the situation I think And sarnie your totally right- car retail therapy is just what I need
  23. I know mate. I think the way I acted with everyone made the officials realise I'm not a boy racer. Came out the skyline with a hoodie on so they probably made assumptions about me lol but hopefully not for long
  24. Thanks everyone. I'm just pi**ed off but don't know why. Not fussed on losing the car cos like everyone said people are more important than metal. Not bothered about increased insurance premiums. Not even bothered about having an accident to my name. I don't know
  25. Greasy roads, driving on a bend.... You know the rest.... Wasn't even going that fast as I had just left a parking bay and slowed down to let another car out. Skylines are known for being twitchy but Sod's law it happens when I wasn't even pushing it... Collided with a female driver with a young child in the car. I wasn't bothered about myself or the car I just went straight to them. Thankfully they were totally fine. Shaken up but fine after a few mins The airbag went off against my arm so it's a bit bruised but other than that it's just the metal that suffered. I'm sure it will be written off with the airbag gone off but il see what happens Il let my head clear before I decide what to do next
