  1. I have one of the ASUS E PC's. Got to say it's superb. About £260 off Amazon. Battery lasts a genuine 8 hours. (with screen not on full brightness) It weighs next to nothing and is basically a fully loaded laptop, but without the DVD drive. I hardly use my fancy Sony Vaio at all now. There are some with special cases available too. I went for CF
  2. My 159 was the 2.4 Diesel. 5 cylinder and it sounded great for a diesel. Very high on CO2 but they now do a far better 2.0 (along with the original 1.9) I did 125K in it over 3 years and it never missed a beat. I only didnt get another one as I need to change model otherwise the new car feels like the old one in weeks. I would certainly have a look. Black on 18 inch wheels. Superb !
  3. How about a Lexus IS 220? I looked at the A4 and A5 and hated both. (having had 2 A4's back to back of the older shape) Pretty basic even in S line trim. The Lexus is pretty good on CO2 now too, and fully loaded. I also had an Alfa 159 before the Lexus, loved that too. Far to many 3 series on the road already... be different!
  4. So true. It took me all of 10 mins at the DVLA office in Sheffiled. I was shocked it was so easy. I expected it to take an age and be like dealing with mentalists. In reality it was a doddle.
  5. I'm going on Friday, really looking forward to it. I went last year, and thought it was a good show. I didnt bother with the Top Gear bit though, the show was big enough without it to be honest. The classic and MPH were enough to get round

    My new 350Z

Very nice! superb pics as well.
  7. Not seen this before...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=iv ... ion_832750 Hopefully not a repost !
  8. A battery conditioner, similar to a trickle charger?? Yes pretty much the same. I think the conditioner is better at monitoring the battery and charging accordingly.
  9. I take mine off the road too in winter. I Add 10psi or so to the tyres to stop them warping. As has been said before, in gear handbrake off. A battery conditioner is a must, and start the car every 3 or 4 weeks or so. Let it warm right up though, not a quick 2 mins then off again. A good indoor cover keeps the dust off. Oh and dont forget to go and look at it often, so it still feels loved

    Alfa 8C

Totally stunning ! When I had the 159, I used to take it to Magoletsi for service. On one visit they had a black 8C in reception. They started it in order to move it and the sound was earth shattering. Even better than an Aston V8
  11. Love the pics. You ended up about 3 miles from where I live. Superb pictures.
  12. Just got the HTC Desire from work to replace an older windows based HTC (Which was awful) Very impressed with the desire so far. Having it blutoothed to the car, lots of calls and emails during the day drained the battery by about half today. Not too bad at all really. A woman at work who has an I phone had a play (with the phone) and quickly said she prefered the HTC.
  13. Many Thanks for your help. Looks like a trip to Halfords tomorrow.... Cheers
  14. Hi, Can anyone help with the details of what battery I will need? It looks like the original one is starting to not hold charge as well as it did. I have tried a search, but all I can find are details for JDM. This is for a 2005 UK. Many Thanks. Craig.
  15. 05 and just 25K. I just dont get enough time. Shame on me !
  16. Superb ! some great comments too......
  17. I got clocked at 107 on the M20 a few years back. Had to go to court, and couldnt plead by post. I think I got very lucky with 6 points and £500. It certainly slowed me down anyway.
  18. Spotted a nice looking (non standard grille) sliver roadster Hathersage, Derbyshire. About 9.30 this morning.

    Gone all Jap

Well, its a sad goodbye to the Alfa and hello to a new Lexus. Up until I got the Z just over a year ago I had never even driven a jap car, now thats all I have! Really pleased with the lexus, fully loaded with some nice toys. Sorry to see the Alfa go though, it was a superb car and 100% faultless over 100K miles.
  20. Had mine for over a year now but I put it on SORN late last year. it will be coming out to play very soon and I cant wait to get behind the wheel again. As you say, top cars.
  21. I had a 3 series years ago and within months of getting it I hated driving it. The car was great but other drivers hate all BMW drivers. I also ended up in an unplanned convoy on the M1 there must have been 8 BM's in a line. At that point I decided to offload it sharpish. Too many about now, which is a shame as they are great motors.
  22. My best bike. Trek Madone SL. Total weight is 14.5 lb (60cm Frame)
