I got the Z (05 plate) just over a year ago with 23K on the clock. I only managed to add 1500 in the year. I put over 100K on the Alfa in under 3 years though.

My lovely Alfa 159 has passed a magic 100K mark and needs to be replaced soon. I will be sorry to see it go, but fancy a change too. I dont fancy a 3 series, (had one years ago and it crippled my back) I looked at an A4 and A5 sportback, but neither really felt "special" I have to say, the best I have driven so far is the Lexus IS 220D SE I 2.2 Pretty quick, and fully loaded. Has anyone here had one? any reports good or bad?

Just had a P1 done today by Harrats in Sheffield. I provided the oil, but still pretty good at £120 or so. Great staff, very helpful and nice coffee for while you wait. They had a yellow 370 in the showroom. its certainly growing on me, even in yellow! (needs to lose the 370 decals on the bottom of the doors though, very 1980's)

I know a guy who used to have the Navara. He raved about it. Evo magazine ran one on their fleet a while back and gave it a glowing report. I do actually like the look of the L200 as well though.

My Z is very low miles but higher milage cars dont bother me at all. My Alfa 159 is just about to pass the magic 100K mark and its still as tight as a drum, and has never missed a beat. (it will be getting changed soon though) I would think a big Vee would be good for 150-200K if looked after.

Thanks for your help so far. My question though was really more about when I should plan the next service. Its P3 was done early when I bought the car. Do I work on 1 year from the early P3 or the month it had its earlier yearly services. Mine is totally going on age, not mileage.

Can anyone give me a pointer on this; I bought my 05 Z nearly a year ago and as part of the deal, the Nissan dealer agreed to give the car its next service before I collected the car. (P3 on age rather than miles, even though not due for another 3 months at the time) Do I use this last service as the reference point for the next service or the original yearly service dates of about April time. The car is still under Nissan extended warranty which I dont want to invalidate. The car has only covered 1400 miles since the P3. Thanks in advance.

I think you are right, I will look to get one of those conditioner/charger things. Having said that it has had no trouble in the past even if left for a couple of weeks. (I last drove it at the end of October) It only died this time as I left the interior lights on like a plank. You are probably right on the BOSE thing too, I just assumed it would need a code. Glad everyhting just fired up as normal.

My Z is parked up for the winter but I start it and warm it through every couple of weeks. I went to it this afternoon and nothing! it was completely dead. It was so flat the doors wouldnt even open with the remote. I gave the battery some charge and away it went, first click of the key. Phew! I also found out why it was so flat, the last time I started it a few weeks ago, I left the interior lights on. Div ! I presumed I would have to put the code back in the Bose, but even that was OK.

No, not from Belper, I was just on my way to Derby. Its not far away though, (i'm in the Peak District) if you or any of the gang are in the area, we could possibly meet up. Some pretty good driving roads in the area.
