  1. Bear in mind you should get some decent money for your old orange ones. I'm not sure what the going rate is but I would have thought at least £400.
  2. I think you've missed the boat on these! See a few posts up from yours!
  3. I've got that kit and it fits nicely and doesn't require any drilling/tapping. Also, unlike the expensive Tein kit, this one doesn't require hacking large pieces out of your engine bay trim. The only thing you need to do is dremel a couple of small cutouts in the plastic trim but handily these are already marked for you by Nissan!
  4. As I said above "prometheus" has the new version. Try PMing him or adding a post to the thread I mentioned above.
  5. Compared to splitting the headlights I reckon taking the bumper off will be easy!
  6. Good to see you on here dude! I'll turn you into a complusive modder yet!
  7. 2+ years! Well that's about the best endorsement I'm going to get I think! I went and had a word with them last night and the main concern they have is the amount of bog that has to be used. They don't really like to have to do that if they can help it as there's always the risk of cracking or warping due to temperature changes. The work they do is extremely good though so I'm sure it will be fine. I went and had a look at the car last night and it's starting to look really good. There's still a fair few bits to be bolted on but it's starting to look like a Z again now. The colour scheme will be Audi Ibis white with gloss black highlights (door handles, headlights, wing mirror brackets, etc). I did have my doubts about not going for a metallic or pearl but now I've seen it I'm 100% happy. Can't wait!
  8. Blueflame don't do custom as far as I know, at least not normally. Mine was definitely "off the shelf" anyway. You can choose from two different tailpipe options but that's it, and that part bolts on anyway so it's just a matter of them chucking a different tailpipe into the box. One thing to note with the Blueflame 350Z system is that they have recently removed the silencer from the mid pipe to make it a little louder as some people thought it was too quiet. The problem with this change is that it means all of the sound clips on the website are even less representative! Mine is one of the older ones with the mid box in place and I can see what they mean as it really isn't much louder than stock once you get over 3000rpm, although it is a bit more deeper sounding lower down in the rev range. Rather than get the new mid pipe I've decided to chuck some HFCs on and see how that sounds. Fit and finish are excellent by the way! Someone on here recently bought the new spec Blueflame but I don't think they've posted their thoughts on it yet. Might be worth dropping a post in this thread to see if you can get any more info: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=31452
  9. Then I guess I shouldn't admit to the fact that part of the reason it's in the bodyshop is because I reversed it into something! Still not to worry, reversing sensors are being fitted at the same time!
  10. I have one of the under-strut sub boxes and I definitely agree that one good 10 inch sub is the way to go with one of those. The box volume is only about 0.7 ft so it won't be enough for two 10 inch subs. Even with a single 10 you'll need to be careful about which one you use. The CDT ES10SQ I'm running provides more than enough bass, I can't see why anyone would need two! I'd definitely recommend changing the head unit too, the Bose is pretty rubbish! If you go and have a look on the TalkAudio forum the For Sale section is full of great kit at very reasonable prices. That's the route I went. By buying my amps and sub second hand I saved a fortune and ended up with a much better setup than I could have afforded buying new stuff. A lot fo the stuff For Sale on there has never been used too. My sub was £500 new and the previous owner only did a test fit in his car before deciding to abandon the project and sold it to me for £200.
  11. Thanks for the info! I know where the bodyshop are coming from with this and if this was the front wings I'd agree with them but I really can't see the rear bumper having any issues.
  12. Hi all, I'm currently having a Nismo V1 kit fitted to my car and I quite like the look of blended rear spats. I've spoken to the body shop about it and whilst they can do it they are concerned about how long it will last without cracking due to the flex in the OEM rear bumper. I know a few people on here have had it done, so can anyone comment on how well it has lasted for them? For the moment they have just fitted them normally with a bead of sealant sealing to the bumper. I'm going to go and take a look tomorrow to see how it looks and then I'll give them a decision so they can get it painted. All input gratefully received!
  13. I think RS Tuning's dyno is known for reading on the low side so that's probably what it is. As long as the before and after run were done on the same dyno what does it matter? RS don't seem to spend much time on the forum so you might be waiting a while for an answer from them.
  14. Cheers for the info! Don't US headlights cause you an issue at MOT time though as surely they'll be dipping the wrong way (if that makes sense!)? Or can they be set to either UK or US spec? Also so you happen to know if the prices on the CC web site (e.g. $1300 for 03-05 headlights) include the lights themselves or is that just the cost for the mods? Please say the former!
  15. Here's some pics of them fitted to a car: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=32667
  16. I know! I meant "not the wheels on page 1"!
  17. The Z2S that I have (see pic on page 3) are 19x8.5 ET15 on the front and 19x10 ET20 on the rear.
  18. I've been looking at their web site today and their work looks outstanding. I assume you had to send your lights over to the US for them to do them for you? That must have cost a bit!

    Scorpion

You should consider a Blueflame Performance exhaust too. About £500 including a new Y-Pipe. I'm very pleased with mine and the person I bought it off had got it to replace their Scorpion exhaust as that thought that was a bit rapsy. I haven't heard a Scorpion one myself though so can't comment on that.
  20. Apparently it's a real headache of a job, about 10 hours!
  21. I fitted the Post 06 airbox to my car back in Jan and got 7bhp and a bit of extra torque. As you say the only difference is the larger velocity stack on the later model airbox. A good cheap mod!
  22. i've found vefore that the yanks only ever track it as far as the depo, and after that the next message is when it turns up. my guess is its possibly in the uk or about to hit, but its customs on this side that is the slow progress. USPS Parcels get handed over to Parcel Force when they enter this country so put the USPS number into the Parcel Force website once it arrives in this country and then you'll get the most recent info. The USPS web site goes a bit buggy when the parcel enters the UK and says "Delivery Attemped Abroad" even though it hasn't left customs yet! I've just put your tracking number into the Parcel Force web site and it says it's still in customs. Once it clears there you'll get a letter a few days later asking you to cough up a £13.50 "Handling Fee" plus whatever customs have added on. Only once you've paid that will they release it for delivery. They way FedEx and UPS do things is much better as they just focus on delivering ASAP and then bill you for customs charges afterwards. And their handling fees are smaller too.
  23. Hi folks, Does anyone have a pair of clear smoked (i.e. not orange smoked) headlight reflector strips, or know where I can source them from in the UK? Oh, and I need them by no later than Wednesday morning! Worth a shot I suppose! Cheers, Matt.
  24. Do they function as indicators too? If not, where have you relocated them to? I wanted completely smooth front wings but couldn't really think of a good place to move the side repeaters to.
