  1. Sellers can't leave negative feedback anymore so feel free to call him a cockmaster.
  2. I saw one guy in the US drill a couple of small holes in the trim either side of the strut bar cover and poke them through there for easy access. Given that you're unlikely to put the suspension back to stock when you sell the car I'd say that's a pretty good solution. See bottom pic on this post: http://my350z.com/forum/4921893-post88.html
  3. I used Nigel Langs in Bolton for mine, as recommended by Tony at WIM. He used to recommend Drury Lane but doesn't anymore for some reason, not sure if it was due to their expertise or the fact he thought they were charging too much. Here's the web site for Nigel Langs: http://www.nigellangsgarage.co.uk/wheel_alignment.htm I was very happy with the work they did but can't remember what they charged now as it was last summer when I had it done.
  4. Totally missed this thread, great to see them fitted to the car! Mine is still in the bodyshop so I've still not got them on the car yet. Looks like my concerns about the width of the front ones wasn't warranted, they look spot on to me! The wheels centres actually look a lighter shade than I expected when fitted to the car though, I may have to do something about that. Hmmm, black wheel centres with a polished lip might look really good against Audi Ibis White..... EDIT: I forgot to ask, what suspension are you running at the moment? And by the way, the wheels are called Z2S!
  5. Abbey do anything and everything for the 350Z including major mods such as Superchargers, Turbo Kits, built engines, etc. RSTuning are just mapping specialists really but they are very good at what they do, they just don't get onto the forum much. They've also done minor mechanical mods for some members such as fitting plenum spacers prior to a remap. As good as Abbey are, if all you want is a remap then I can't see any point in driving to the other end of the country when RS Tuning are just around the corner.
  6. I don't think you'll get a paint code for it to be honest. I bet that new door handles come painted from the factory. I think you're best to just pick a silver you like and go with that. My vote would be whatever the is used on the new Mercs, they know how to do a good silver. Or alternatively go with something from Audi's extensive range of colours:
  7. Option 1 gets my vote mate. I like the Zerosun front: http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model=35 ... rodid=2062 I'd smooth out the vent though and it's really pricey when you factor in the fogs, especially the HID ones!
  8. Excellent price for the rear bumper! I paid £125 + p+p for one recently which I thought was reasonable.
  9. You have a choice of Abbey in the south or RSTuning in the north (Leeds). Most people have seen a small improvement in MPG judging by what I've read.
  10. He's just done mine for me too! Should be arriving today hopefully! He tried to retire but we just dragged him back again!

Great post Mark, it's nice to know a bit more about how the ECU works. Would it be fair to sumarise it as follows? Timing: Full time closed loop using knock sensor. Fuel: Pre 06 - Closed Loop Part throttle, Open Loop Full throttle. Post 06 - Full time closed loop using wideband. So when you tune the cars are you only changing the open loop map for the fueling and leaving the closed loop fueling and ignition alone? Or are you able to alter the "rules" for the closed loop stuff so the ECU takes a more aggressive stance when doing it's own thing? I know RSTuning have done one with a supercharger that worked well. I think the only limitation is that the stock MAP sensor will only read up to a certain pressure, so if you want more boost than that you need an upgraded MAP sensor. Whether or not the stock ECU would be happy with that I don't know. Perhaps that is the cut off point for needing a full replacement ECU? That said a new ECU would be chump change compared to the cost of the built engine needed at that boost level!
  12. Thanks for posting this link. I dont know what bulbs i have fitted but may well be silvertech's and they are far too dim and infact dangerous. Will look at this alternative make No problem. Just had an email to say mine have been posted so will let you know if they fit.
  13. I went for two packs of these for front and rear: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/WY21W- ... -pair.html Heard they're a bit better than the Silvertec ones. Hopefully they'll fit....... EDIT: Here's the Scoobynet thread I found slating the Silvertec ones: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/lighting-other ... vatec.html
  14. Ah so they are the same front and rear. Cheers mate. By the way my Z2S wheels arrived from RareRims on Friday! Not even had them out of the boxes yet though, it's been a hectic weekend! Going to get them unboxed tonight and jetseal them before taking them to the bodyshop.
  15. Hi all, I was wondering if someone could tell me which silver indicator bulbs I need for the rear indicators. I've found these for the front: http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... odID=52189 Are the rears the same bulbs? I did find a how-to thread with a link for the rear bulbs in it but unfortunately the link has expired now. Can anyone point them out on the JDMPerformance site for me? Also do these bulbs flash a decent shade of orange? I've seen some silver indicators in the past that flashed more of a pink colour and I'd rather not go that route!
  16. Doesn't having it remapped remove the behaviour you are talking about though? My impression was that until it is remapped the ecu is a law unto itself, but once it's done it stays in "performance mode" all the time. Presumably this would mean that remapped cars can be put on the dyno and give a reliable figure with a single run.
  17. That one but keep the lip polished silver!
  18. They are an additional service item at 54,000 miles and are not part of the P3/P2/P1 per se. Indeed, that's clear from the checksheet you get from the dealer after your service. I just think the dealerships owe it to their customers to consider it mandatory, or at least strongly recommend it. 54,000 miles on one set of plugs is enough!
  19. They are an optional extra, apart from the service at 52,000-54,000, you can change them beofre then if you want but manufacture states it will go all the way to 50 odd before new ones are required I had the 54000 miles P3 service done before I picked up the car from the dealer and they didn't do mine! Swines!
  20. I noticed a 2mpg improvement just from replacing my plugs with some new Denso Iridiums and the car definitely pulled better. God knows how long they had been in, I suspect the whole 54,000 miles! It's worth noting that some Nissan dealers seem to regard replacing the plugs on a P3 service as an optional extra. Opie Oils sell them for a good price. Try PMing ZMANALEX too, he sells all the stuff you need to service them and has fantastic customer service.
  21. Yep, they're the Linea Corse Z2S they brought in for me. Mine should be arriving tomorrow. I'll get some pics up once the car is out of the bodyshop, probably a week on Saturday. If you go back to page one of that thread there's a couple of similar wheels shown too. They all have a 12 month warranty on the polished lips too.
  22. I've seen it done on other forums where all new threads (not individual posts) to the For Sale section don't appear until they have been approved by a mod. It works well assuming the mods don't mind the extra workload.
  23. Is there any point in this mods? Ah, I totally missed that stuff at the top and checked this thread before posting my advert instead: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=19660 There is no mention of this in there so it could do with being added in. Although given that stuff at the top of the forum I guess it isn't even needed any more, assuming people read it properly! I do have the pictures now and can post them up if you like but it's a bit pointless now!
  24. Cheers mate. It must have been a good price as these have already SOLD! Mods, can you please lock/delete the thread now.
  25. Hi all, I have a complete set of 4 Eibach 20mm wheel spacers for sale due to an impending set of new wheels. These were bought from CS about six months ago and are the ones which just bolt straight on, no messing with replacing the studs or anything like that. They took me about and hour and a half to fit and that included cleaning the rust off my brake discs and painting them black (the brakes, not the spacers! ). They come complete with all the nuts required to secure them to the hubs. I had no issues at all removing them and so none of the nuts are rounded off. Will get some pics up later but I think you all know what they look like! I'm after £130 posted. If interested just drop me a PM. ***NOW SOLD!!*** Cheers, Matt.
