  12. Q: What is a plenum spacer? A: The stock plenum slopes down towards the front of the engine. Nissan designed this in order to clear the stock strut bar and hood on the 350Z (function after form). This sloping design restricts the airflow to the front cylinders, but an aftermarket plenum can help the front cylinders breathe. Aftermarket plenum spacers either increase the overall height or remove the downward slope in the design, allowing more volume and greater airflow to all cylinders. Higher airflow is needed to achieve more power. Q: What is the best modification to increase BHP in a stock 350z? A: Because of the effectivness of the adaptive ECU in the 350z most power upgrades are ignored. The only way to fully maximise performace additions is to either fit a piggy back ECU or have the stock one remapped in order to alter the fueling thus increasing BHP. Q: What is FI and NA? A: FI - Forced Induction: This is when air is forced into the engine by means of a Turbo or Supercharger. In short: More air means more fuel is injected More fuel and air = bigger explosions Bigger explosions = Serious Power NA - Naturally Aspirated: This is the method in which the stock 350z allows air into the engine. Air is drawn in via the filter, throttle body and pleum naturally as the fuel ignites. Some for the moment....feel free to amend any of it if you want to use it. R
  13. From the look of it im not entirely sure I want to know. R
  14. lol, the whole time i've been on this forum I never even knew this section existed Everydays a school day. R
  15. I realise there are a few pages which compile some FAQ but what do you think about a page dedicated to questions that we get asked time and time again with answers agreed on so not to cause disputes, questions such as: Q: What is a plenum spacer Q: What is a pop charger Q: Do you think this £20 resistor from ebay will REALLY give me an extra 30bhp? Q: How much HP can I get with induction kit and Exhaust Q: Where is the search button?!?!?!?!? If we had a comprehensive list you could somehow incorperate it into the registration process so that when they log in for the first time it redirects them to the FAQ. Just a suggestion. I have plenty of free time to write up some FAQ stuff if needed. R

I just installed my K1 and we took it for a blast up the road with the windows down. It physically hurt my ears it was so lound, they were ringing after. K1 + Decat = Bad Idea unless you want your first language to be sign. R

    filter?

It's all really irrelevant unless you have a piggyback ECU or remap as the ECU is highly adaptive and will negate anything you stick on it after a short period of time. I would say 90% of the people on here have induction kits purely for the noise it makes. The rest have modified their ECU's to accept the power gains. R
  21. Damn just bought the K1 otherwise I would have probably gone for these. R
  22. Does the kinetix have a built in spacer? if not it is purely an aesthetic mod? R
