  1. Ye it's a 'normal' noise then Let us know what your Nissan garage say
  2. Ye it's a flywheel / clutch noise. Happens on one of our customer cars when they reverse down hills then press the clutch in. I wouldnt worry too much unless the noise gets worse or the gear selection issue 1st to 2nd gets worse. Go and see a decent specialist or HPC to ease your worries though as It could be a different noise
  3. We shouldn't laugh at old Hef really though as the guy is a living legend

  13. We (Falcon Performance) have a 350z Shelled waiting for a cage to go in We are planning on entering it into the Northern Sports and Saloon Championship ran by DDMC with a different engine. The plan was to sell a seat in the car to some of our customers after proving it to be competative. I would be interested in a 1 make series as long as Croft was one of the races in the Championship I watched the MX5's (only because a friend was running) last month and they were having great fun but just didn't have the sound or the power really! A 350z is a heavy lump of a car but for a 1 make series it would be perfect Min weight per vehicle and stock ecu's are the way forward and as Mark said DE engines. Oh and stock Diffs and Gearboxes too! Parts are cheap now guys for the 350z especially on the 2nd hand market with good engines costing £1,500 and suspension parts being kept on the shelf for less than half Nissan's dealer prices ARDS at Croft circuit are very reasonable as we have put a few of our customers through them
  14. I couldn't believe the call when you said your brother engine blew up too in the same week Will you give me a call tonight on this 2nd engine mate
  15. This issue can be sorted fairly easy from inside the cabin. The gear surround and centre console have to come out and the rubber gear gaiter unbolting (4 x 10mm bolts), then you find 3 x 10mm bolts holding the selector shaft. These need to be slackened off so the triangular metal plate can be moved left slightly to stop you overshooting and going too far to the right when trying to get 6th. Go and see Nissan and get it done on warranty.
  16. Think he needs to book it in with you boys Mark
  17. He says 5 of the 6 are below 140 mate
  18. Could be repaired but remember Rays are forged guys
  19. Scotty, go and give it a thrash with the 'S' mode off and see if it helps. The gears can feel a little notchy but never had a real problem selecting a gear. Think a Nissan HPC may be best mate but make sure you take someone out in the car and have them acknowledge there is an issue as some places will just give you it back and say no issue upon testing. Let us know how you get on
