My GF knows a lot about cars now as she has had no choice but to learn. She is the worst person in the world at doing deals either buying or selling cars so she asks me to take care of it.... at least I think she asked
When I first started seeing her she bought a Smart Brabus roadster (against my advice) and upon doing to haggling the guy named a figure and she just said 'Yes I don't mind paying that'. There was another £350 just about to come off the price before the said that
I think the JDM cameras in the front bumper are a great idea for pulling out of blind junctions / driveways. I have only seen them once before but very 007
Poor guy is only trying to sell his car and so far we have concluded:
1. He is a liar.
2. Not the brightest using some naughty old Vauxhall Omega leather seats in the back.
3. Bad taste in Stickers / Decals.
4. Has a Flux Capacitor instead of a 3.5 V6.
5. Is driving around with a coulple of chopped up torsos in the back because thats all that would fit.
Anyone on here going to buy it?
Can't speak for other cars he / she have sold. I just know this one was bought approx 2 months ago with history and 1,600 miles on her from new so Mileage appears genuine. I had a customer wanting to buy it but it went for massive money
Ye if they are not kept waxed and if there has been brake dust left on them for a prolonged period of time they are known to flake
2 Options are powder coating or take them to a paintshop to be spray painted. Third option is DIY but I have seen a few guys do them badly themselves
When the weather gets bad I will do this mod to my own car and do a guide I expect my car will be into storage at the end of the month when salt gets thrown down.
I think some guy wrote an R35 off trying to park it
I have also heard they can be set off with a good kick, however I have not tested this with a practical test
the control unit for them and the rams are uber expensive. Think they put a new front bumper on too.
I have one ram in stock if anyone needs them in the future
People have actually started moving the sensors back to try and stop the rams popping at 10mph nudges. They live low down in the front bumper skin usually
Worst thing I have seen in a while. I bet the anchoring points for the rear seatbelts are nasty too! That rear seat looks like it's out of a Vauxhall Omega
Would be soooo hard to sell on if anyone bought it.
On a positive note I like that he has fitted a flux capacitor and can run it on banana skins or organic rubbish
It had a VERY minor front bump that set off the pedestrian safety system (the bonnet rams). Was silly it was put on the list really
The new owner bought it for top money with only 1,600 miles on it so it hasn't been used much
Nice looking car
Very good advice here. If you cant use 2 other wheels then swap the rears to the front and vice versa and see if the problem moves to the rear of the car
