Yeah, forged internals. You'd need an exhaust and bobs to get to 280, and that's as much as the stock Cupra R turbo could take. 2-4k would get you a big turbo, and 330-350bhp. And that would go on any 1.8T, not just the cupra R. Quick bastards them.
Comparitvely pants to look at, inside and out, and pants to drive though.
But if you're crusing in your tree fiddy and you come up against a remapped one (or a golf ED30 and the like) Prepare to have a close fight on your hands. The mid range shove was actually a lot greater in the leon. When I test drove the 350 i thought the engine was bloody broken due to the lack of grunt.
Still, no looking back. I LOVE the car!
