  1. Just added u as well.....welcome to the lobby of fb addicts.....or saddos according to nixy....
  2. +1 Nissan in hull gave me a coupe for a test drive before we even talk about buying it. I had told them already i am just looking around. Didnt buy in the end. A year later went there for a test drive again. They didnt have a roadster so they drove me to leeds for the test drive. Picked me up from my house and dropped me off at my doorstep!!! Bought my brand new roadster! Great lads all of them!!!!
  3. i will be there...maybe a bit over the limit but still with the prettiest Z.....
  4. If it was on the other side you should be ok....if vans were checking speeders on both lanes i wouldnt be allowed to drive now and for the next 20 years...
  5. Test drove loads before i buy my brand new 08 Z roadster a year later. An 06 Z coupe (good), boxter s (better), cayman s (the best), bmw coupe 335i (the choice if i had kids), s2000 (defo not), z4 3.0i (boring), slk 350 (too mature), tt 3.2 quattro (hair dresser's car), lancer evo 360 (amazing chav-mobile), and last a maserati spyder 4200gt (the beauty and the beast in a single package) which i bought. I wrote it off a year later and a small flat poorer and bought da Z. Sensible choice and it wasnt love at first sight as with the italian beauty...but ended up more like a deep love that becomes stronger with time.... God i am so romantic.....
  6. i am in. just pm me with date n time. Either side of the bridge will do. just hope the day is sunny....
  7. How did you break in the disc and pads? Sounds to me like you had new discs, went out and mullered them and now they are shot. EBC arent the best discs in the world to start with, certainly wouldnt use them on a regular track day machine. Secondly, if you hadnt heat cycled them correctly to begin with, that could have caused it too. My brakes (EBC discs and DS2500) squealed at first but once I bedded them in right it stopped and have been fine since. Seems like you had the wrong discs for what you are using them for. No discs should die after a couple of track days if used properly. Get some DBA 2 piece discs, that should help you out My brembo disks died after a single day at Oulton park (about 45 laps)!!!! Had done about 8000miles by then. Changed to EBC at 11000miles. They were bedded in by Fletch and didnt squeak for about 2000 miles. Then i did the damp track day at oulton park and they started squeaking. Sometimes they did a lot and sometimes they were ok. After the second track day (proper dry one more than 60 laps a set of ps2s and almost 2 tanks of petrol !!! ) i can feel vibrations through the steering wheel during breaking (car has 15600 miles). its not too bad but still rather annoying.... I dont blame the disks but I will defo change to something different before my next track day....
  8. Hi bud, glad you received your pads... Greekman didn't buy the discs from me, I think he bought them from Phil... They do squeak and i got them brand new from Phil. They didnt last more than a track day and a half actually as the first track day didnt last long and was a bit damp as well.... Cadwell park has 3 hard braking corners... but i didnt look after the brakes properly as i did go on for one more lap after they showed signs of overheating.... the was driven on the limit all day!!!! Guess i need something even better than the EBC disks.... any ideas CS???
  9. What do you mean without braking?? I mean just driving and doing that speed and above!
  10. My latest update from the discs is that they didnt last 2 proper track days... they need changing now....after 5000miles.... and just in case you are wondering there is a lot of vibration on hard braking at high speed (60mph) and even more when doing anything over 110mph and gets worse the higher the speed...(thats without braking).. on a track always... wheel balancing is perfect and tyres brand new ps2s...
  11. Thats a v v v v v v v mean MF!!!!!
  12. Just came back from the gym nixy....looking just like him if not better!!!
  13. Dont know...i tried them at a "proper" gym nest of rugby players/bouncers.....
  14. Tried some old styled metal bits that didnt rotate but elevate and found them brilliant....shame i said i ll never do any more push ups after a push up competition at judo training a couple of weeks ago... These things do work tho....good buy!!!
  15. Not on standard arch you can get the right offset even have it come out a notch. The springs will be fine, the profiles of the tyres will help aid the lower look on 19's. Best bet is contact Adam at Z1 auto he can advise you on this mate I think he meant with the rays Yeap...
  16. Hint! Leave your traction control on!!! That way i cant see how you will need insurance cover....take it easy at first and then build up speed.... the Z can slide on all 4 wheels with no interference from the ESP....once you manage to do a few very quick laps without annoying the ESP then you can think of deactivating it.... However, i have never been to castle comb and i dont know the corners....but as a general rule there are corners that you HAVE to heal-toe if you dont want to start spinning in the middle of the track with the ESP off.... you can always ask the instructor which these corners are.... And make sure you use the wet/dry racing lines depending...and if dry aim for the cone on the apex....dont be afraid with the ESP on..... And last but not least.... the track fees are the least of the expenses... have cash with you for petrol.... be prepared to see tyres and brakes cooked.... and if there is a slight jadder from the steering wheel on braking on your way back home dont worry.... you f****d the disks..... Its great fun tho....so great you wont be thinking of any of these things whilst there!!!
  17. 1. Zee 2. Lincolnbaggie 3. Nixy 4. Scott 5. Greekman First weekend in May sounds fine to me!!!!
  18. Thats ok...didnt get much interest anyway....like my savings account.....
  19. we can meet up at your side and drive to my side or the other way round....i am happy with the mini meet name...not fussed about the details!
  20. i would be up 4 a meet....as long as its called humberside as well!!! Could do a photo shoot under the bridge as well... Coming back on the 23rd of April from Greece....so feel free to count me in if its after that day....
  21. That is true....start from petrol which was £80 (not including going there and back..average mpg 7.7!!!) and then start adding brakes...tyres...clutch...wheel bearings...anything... however, if you keep the ESP on you ll be fine....i never deactivated it....didnt need to... I think that a proper 'drive like there is no tomorrow' track day in a Z is probably about £1000 all inclusive....
