  1. Test drove loads before i buy my brand new 08 Z roadster a year later. An 06 Z coupe (good), boxter s (better), cayman s (the best), bmw coupe 335i (the choice if i had kids), s2000 (defo not), z4 3.0i (boring), slk 350 (too mature), tt 3.2 quattro (hair dresser's car), lancer evo 360 (amazing chav-mobile), and last a maserati spyder 4200gt (the beauty and the beast in a single package) which i bought. I wrote it off a year later and a small flat poorer and bought da Z. Sensible choice and it wasnt love at first sight as with the italian beauty...but ended up more like a deep love that becomes stronger with time.... God i am so romantic.....
  2. i am in. just pm me with date n time. Either side of the bridge will do. just hope the day is sunny....
  3. Thats a v v v v v v v mean MF!!!!!
  4. Just came back from the gym nixy....looking just like him if not better!!!
  5. Dont know...i tried them at a "proper" gym nest of rugby players/bouncers.....
  6. Tried some old styled metal bits that didnt rotate but elevate and found them brilliant....shame i said i ll never do any more push ups after a push up competition at judo training a couple of weeks ago... These things do work tho....good buy!!!
  7. Not on standard arch you can get the right offset even have it come out a notch. The springs will be fine, the profiles of the tyres will help aid the lower look on 19's. Best bet is contact Adam at Z1 auto he can advise you on this mate I think he meant with the rays Yeap...
  8. Hint! Leave your traction control on!!! That way i cant see how you will need insurance cover....take it easy at first and then build up speed.... the Z can slide on all 4 wheels with no interference from the ESP....once you manage to do a few very quick laps without annoying the ESP then you can think of deactivating it.... However, i have never been to castle comb and i dont know the corners....but as a general rule there are corners that you HAVE to heal-toe if you dont want to start spinning in the middle of the track with the ESP off.... you can always ask the instructor which these corners are.... And make sure you use the wet/dry racing lines depending...and if dry aim for the cone on the apex....dont be afraid with the ESP on..... And last but not least.... the track fees are the least of the expenses... have cash with you for petrol.... be prepared to see tyres and brakes cooked.... and if there is a slight jadder from the steering wheel on braking on your way back home dont worry.... you f****d the disks..... Its great fun tho....so great you wont be thinking of any of these things whilst there!!!
  9. You ll need spacers as well.....
  10. 1. Zee 2. Lincolnbaggie 3. Nixy 4. Scott 5. Greekman First weekend in May sounds fine to me!!!!
  11. Thats ok...didnt get much interest anyway....like my savings account.....
  12. we can meet up at your side and drive to my side or the other way round....i am happy with the mini meet name...not fussed about the details!
  13. i would be up 4 a meet....as long as its called humberside as well!!! Could do a photo shoot under the bridge as well... Coming back on the 23rd of April from Greece....so feel free to count me in if its after that day....
  14. That is true....start from petrol which was £80 (not including going there and back..average mpg 7.7!!!) and then start adding brakes...tyres...clutch...wheel bearings...anything... however, if you keep the ESP on you ll be fine....i never deactivated it....didnt need to... I think that a proper 'drive like there is no tomorrow' track day in a Z is probably about £1000 all inclusive....
  15. Cheers guys... think it was that motul....and yes the pedal feels a bit soft now...will be visiting a garage for a reflush next week but i will pm fletch....i got to buy the fluid first....
  16. Just noticed today that on hard braking the handbrake light comes on and when the car starts settling horizontal again it goes off... Brake fluid was half way full (or empty...its a matter of perception) before the track day yesterday but just above min today.... Thing is that i dont remember which one Phil used when he upgraded my brakes to ebc disks and pads.... i know he changed it for a better one...or Fletch did anyway.... Anybody any ideas??? Think the light will be fine when brake fluid level is back to normal... for the records there is no leak anywhere... and i am planning on changing brake fluid as this was the second track day on the same juice... Cheers guys and gals...
  17. I would never say no to pics of my Z!!! I remember a couple of clios 197 and i think a white megane 225...dont remember as i was too focused on mad driving.... was overtaken by a westfield, an ariel atom and steve's pug....dont remember anybody else overtaking me and that includes M3's, all the renaults, fiestas and focuses STs, a caterham....(that actually span round in front me on a very fast lap with steve following but we both acted really quickly....lool) and all sorts of other cars.... People came to me to ask whether the car was modified and stuff and one of them said that he loved the sound of it!!! I was really chuffed.... Before i go i went on the track for 6 laps with a guy who had a golf gti and wanted to see what i was doing and i could go that fast....showed him my heal-toe technique and he felt badly sick 6 laps later... dont think he went on the track again....sorry Keith....
  18. That was me...what was he driving???
  19. 2 more as it wouldnt let me add more than 3...
  20. Another track day is finished..... But god it was fab!!!!! Cadwell Park is a brilliant track and such a good fan if you are brave enough.... Nice and dry...not too busy....so the hood was mostly down....now i need 4 new PS2s and yes new brakes!!! Unfortunately the EBC turbo grooves and yellow pads didnt make it today....and thats after 5000 miles and 2 track days... same for the PS2s... Great day in any case...cheers Steve! You always make me feel sooooo welcome!!! Nice Pug and driving by the way....i think i need to loose some weight if i want to keep up with you next time....you had the 888s as well.... A few pics for the fellow Z owners are included....pls notice the sidewall twist of the front PS2s.... and thats with 42psi when boiling hot!!!
