You joking???? and what if some other muppet parked there?? I was making sure the opening was all mine to drive back!!! As for slowing you down...they never slowed me down when i had the quasqai or whatever that nissan courtesy suv was!!! You got to try the local taxi drivers in their lagunas as as well!!! You cant even feel that the bumps are there!!!

Now guys i am proud to live in the land of one of the most useless human inventions ever!!! The speed bumps!!! Vertical ones, trapezoid ones...the best way to destroy a Zed's undertray.... and front bumper...and suspension..... So far i knew you could have a vertical long one or a row of trapezoid ones....not any more!!! Been to Bridlington East Riding of Yorkshire recently and this is what i came across on one of the little streets!!! Please notice that there is another set in the background!!! This is just evil!!!!! You can always post your experiences here guys.... Ps how would you go over them Martin????

CEL error code after fitting the Nismo exhaust.
Greekman replied to Greekman's topic in 350Z Technical
These guys are great! It was Hull nissan that fitted the brakes.... They only fitted the cat back nismo. Didnt touch the O2 sensors at all. His writing isnt great but its clearly P2AOO O2 sensor/ circuit range-perform smth cant read it./ banh 7 sensor 7 -
The aggressive or less aggressive set up is obtained by the direction of the slotts on the face of the rotors. What we are referring to here guys is the direction of the fins between each face of the rotor. The fins must be facing backwards as per the image that I posted up otherwise the rotors will run far to hot and crazing will appear on the rotor face and the transfer of thermal energy to the callipers will be excessive resulting in the fluid boiling, melted piston seals and dust covers and discolouration of the callipers. Also without Ti shims this transfer of thermal energy will expediate. Chris, further to our conversation today, I may have sourced Ti shims in the U.K and hope to send them out with the callipers. Alex. Much appreciated m8!!! In regards to the slots i was never asked about it!!! But we ll what they say anyway...

Just double checked with the pic Alex posted...they are fitted the wrong round all over!!!! I am off to the dealership tomorrow!!!!! Suppose i can wait....but how safe is it to wait 2 more weeks when my brakes can let me down at any time???? God i am right pi**ed off!!! Got to go out...drink...and forget!!!!! All in all 2 Gs for the bloody brakes!!!! Now i remembered...i am skint....i cant even go out!!!!

CEL error code after fitting the Nismo exhaust.
Greekman replied to Greekman's topic in 350Z Technical
From a code reader i think...the garage did it... OEM cats on... he said smth about a sensor 7. -
or was it 2 x 500ml then???
-
Zmanalex sent me 500ml for mine i think...
-
After i had the nismo exhaust and air intakes fitted i started seeing the CEL light bright yellow!!! The code is P2AOO from the O2 lamda sensors...any ideas??? I think its got to do with those extensions Zmanalex was taking about....
-
Now then... Unable to do anything.....front calipers proper f....d!!!! The seals were burnt.... So ordered a set of front ones as well.... Now, is there a chance that the calipers were gone before i have the DBA disks fitted 3 months ago and this to have caused everything??? I do believe that the nissan guys didnt check the calipers given that i overheated and destroyed the brembos and almost did the same thing with the EBC disks..... If you can have a look at the pics guys i think the discs were fitted the right way round...you can check it from the positioning of the slots... Last thing i need shims or smth for the pads....is it adam that does those titanium ones??? I need them for friday...

Its basically the rear left caliper that is really bad....today is the day so i ll be keeping you posted!!!! Still waiting for my avatar change!!!

I was thinking Perses - the greek God of Destruction + 1. You are so funny guys!!!!! How about changing my avatar from Z fanatic to Z destroyer???
-
Hopefully you don't kill them! I'd give them say 3-4 track days this time I really do hope these do the trick as the next step is BBK and big bucks About 3 grand already spent on EBC, DBA and Dixcel m8!!! BBK wont scare me...they ll send me in jail!!!!

Its been known for a long time that the std airbox (06+ especially) are the best intake for performance if you are running an NA stock-ish Zed. Remember, Nissan know their stuff, they know how much air the engine needs, and until you take it well out of its comfort zone (ie stroker kit or FI), the std box with performance filter will be the best bang for buck going. However the noise of the open filters is awesome, and once moving, I'm not convinced that the sealed airbox will give much better performance than enclosed as we saw in Andy's thread i completely understand both of you....but why would nismo make something that decreases performance??? Its like Brabus fiddling with a merc and making it slower!!! I want the boxes back on now!!!

Hopefully you don't kill them! One more time n i ll kill myself!!!

Picked up the dixcel carbon brakes today with the pads....plus the motul 660...now waiting for the calipers....all going on tom....cant wait!!! Many thanks to DMS and Zmanalex!!! Excellent service!!!

Only watching the vid scared me to death!!!! Needs loads of ball....s to go over the uphill straights flat out when you cant see the corners after them....even when i knew i could, i still lifted off ages earlier..... Did it in 10mins 2 secs in August....that was with a full boot and an average sized passenger....oh and the ESP on!! I v ruined a maserati there...wouldnt risk it again...and 2 yellow flags...and loads of understeer as the car was 'tweaked' to go on and off the ferry... There was an orange coupe Z with english number plates (private if i remember correctly) and the old style bonnet that overtook me as if i wasnt there...twice i think!!!
-
How about laser quest then???
-
Darren i think you have taken it a bit too far m8!!!! I am a greek god out of the car as well!!! I am in for the drinking competition.....which i can easily win... i cant afford any more brakes anyway!!!
-
Take a look at is avator " GREEKMAN" Give the guy a break Me no speak english....me migrant need work.... Ekona m8 hope you get to see me on a track sometime.....last time in mallory park people were coming round to have a look and see how the Z could go round so fast...the same at cadwell park!!! I had to pop the bonnet cos they couldnt believe it was stock!!! I dont have a high opinion of my driving...i think enough said of that... i had brembo that are not track brakes...i had EBC still not great track breaks but they went wrong because the front left pads went and i kept going (ESP and roundabouts not good)...now the DBA are a different story....i honestly think there was smth wrong with them...we ll see....

There's more point in left foot braking in a manual than in an auto, and if you can do it then it's certainly a worthwhile technique for tackling certain corners. You're also missing the point of late braking: It's got nothing to do with putting more weight over the front wheels, it's about carrying every last bit of speed you can into the corner. If you're getting understeer that badly then you've got the car set up wrong, and need to take it for a decent geo setup. From what you describe (specifically, having to go WOT mid-corner during a very wide corner) then the setup here is your biggest issue, and is fighting against you all the way. Due to not being able to switch the Zed's ability to brake individual corners on a UK car, there are times when you'd have to brake and lift just before the ECU works out what's going on to be able to get the front to tuck in under braking: It's probably the hardest thing to get right on the Zed, but is incredibly satisfying when you nail it. So you are saying that braking has got nothing to do with weight distribution of the car through the corner??? And carry every last bit of speed into the corner is wrong m8! sometimes ur turn in speed is lower thasn max only because you get better traction that way to accelerate through the corner and have better exit speed. Guys i am not a race driver but i do my homework....i dont think the brakes are gone because of my breaking...Zmanalex gave me an idea...but i ll know on friday!
