There is a separate thread about the incident with pics now. Had a cracking day till the incident! Fantastic!!! Very nice pics Darren...i ll try and put some up this avo as well. I had a morning tuition from Dixcel....excellent guy helped me so much!!! I could catch up with every one at the shikane (dont rem the name)....and thanks to him i could easily lap around 59secs!!!! Many thanks to Darren and Alex for the help and support as well!

Front suspension is fine but we had to remove the spacer for the wheel to have enough space to rotate.

Update! I dont need the rear panel and front bumper....but i may need a left headlight instead!

Fab track day at Brands Hatch....last lap off the track...on the tyres...all the LHS knackered!!!! I dont want any filler on the car and its only tin job as i drove fine from Brands Hatch to Hull. But this means i need a new front left wing, left door, left rear panel. I may need the front bumper but it looks repairable tbh. Oh and the wheel arch plastic insulation. The left mirror is broken at the plastic link that goes on the door but the rest of it is fine....Can i get only that part? Last thing the passenger's seat airbag went off...so i suppose a new seat as well.... Or it could be second hand parts... The car is an 08 convertible. And i have started looking for parts already. Any help would be much appreciated guys! PS i ll be posting pics later on....

Welcome dude!!! I agree with Stew...it depends on what you want really...it has been so many times that i needed 2 more seats..... As for the oil consumption after 24k miles and a good few track and drift days i have used about 2l of oil as well... Handling wise on the top gear track these 2 cars did exactly the same times!!! so the Rex's handling must be somehow better than the Zed's.... And the Zed's back end can be very nervous sometimes...with the wrong tyres and set up...but the ESP is very good and when on the car is very safe.! Never owned a rex but i v driven the 223 or smth (not the 192 anyway) a few times and it was nice. i love the interior and practicality... but for pure driving pleasure, fun on the track, posing you need the Zed!!!! I love my Zed!!!!!

PS2s all the way m8!!! Better than the 050As...not for much but they are...wear wise they are bad. I honestly dont know how ekona makes so much out of them but 2 cadwell track days on 36psi and about 80 laps in total is all they can take. And they will be barely legal on the way back. I cant comment purely on road use cos i v always mixed it with track days.

And who asked for your opinion???? can you picture yourself getting out the car in public, say at tescos and not being a little embarrased? fair enough as a weekend play car i suppose... Thats my only car actually...and i dont mind really...i am driving it for myself... Sat 28th of nov all day!!!

Just ordered a Haltech platinum with the wide band O2 sensors. Add Adam's front and rear suspension bushings package, plus the rear solid traction bushings Cant wait to get them now and have them fitted...i ll keep you all posted!!! Hopefully the car will be ready for the track day at Cadwell park on the 28th of November. Picking the short shifter tom as well and waiting for that lovely knob!!! Pics and details will be posted soon. Now i need somebody to fit and tune the Haltech!!! PS thanks Adam for the help and quick service. interesting american accent live!

I did the same thing m8! Excellent experience It was shortly after my maser which had the same engine so the acceleration wasnt that much of a surprise for me...but the handling was fantastic!!! Never felt the car leaning left or right...monster brakes as well...i loved it! I dont know how you got on with the paddles...i found the gearchange a bit awkward at first as the same version on the maser is less urgent even on sport mode... Started last and by the end of round 3 i had overtaken everybody (it was 4 or 5 cars) and was closing in the last one again...i was having a chat at the same time with the instructor and i remember doing one more lap as we missed the exit!!! The guy is doing his own training days 'iwannagofast.com' or smth....and i got pics and the video as well....awesome!!!!

good question...its only cos haltech does so many more things....plus the concept is to go fi in the future.... by the sound of it tho i cant see how i can justify the expense to myself... I think the mods should make a thread with all the options and posts from traders so that us common people can have all the info with testimonials.
