  1. Just catching up with the thread....i am in greece and havent got internet ppl!!! Dixcel brakes are fab! Excellent on the track and the discs just cant die!!! Now Darren killed my pads in a few laps at Cadwell braking with the left leg.... seriously i used the pads only one track day!!!! i will have a word with Dixon when i get back .. Oulton park is very good with one tricky corner and very heavy on the front left tyre... and dentistry is never boring....if i feel like it i just change nurse.... Oh and merry xmas everyone!!!
  2. Learn to "ghostride" the Zed. On my trip back from Germany to the UK, I got coaught in the worst of it and it took me 18 hours to get back. Stick the Zed in 1st or 2nd, then gently lift the clutch, no throttle, maybe feather the clutch till you start moving. Once moving, resist the urge to step on the throttle, just let the Zed "ghostride" itself thru the snow and ice. +1 then again my dad was a professional lorry driver and he taught me how to drive in the snow. Didnt even have to deactivate the esp ever and i havent stopped driving the last 4 days. and there is no road gritted in hull....
  3. Anybody wants to play catch me if you can???? awesome!!!
  4. +1 Although i v seen the nurrish system on Darren's zed and its defo better
  5. Just came back from a absolutely amazing weekend away with Mrs Zed in Goldsborough near Knaresborough/Harrogate. All snowed...almost snowed out...stayed in the Lascelles suite...and we didnt want to leave today.... About 10 mins from the M1 its called Goldsborough hall and its actually and old house/mansion where the owners actually live in. Everything was as if it came out of a fairy tale...the landscape, the mansion, the room. Very pleasant and welcoming stuff as well. The room had a jacuzzi right in front of the massive bay window, the biggest comfiest bed i v ever seen, 50 inch plasma screen with home cinema and a projector. the projector curtain came down in front of the bay window with a remote control. Although harrogate is about 20mins away and knareborough only 5mins the roads where so bad we didnt even think going on a night out and tbh i dont think we would have done even if we could. We had dinner there in a private room with our own personal butler/waiter and the food was fantastic. You have to order 24h in advance as they get the stuff the same day in order to be fresh or smth.... The most relaxing weekend ever and the place highly recommend ps only thing to keep in mind is that with 2 meals it almost touched a 4 digit bill!!! Now, since this is a Z forum as well i have to tell you that the Zed with knackered front stones 050As and almost gone rears of the same stuff did fab! And tbh there were a few occasions where i thought we ll get stuck now but we didnt. I think they are a bit better on snow/ice than the ps2s for some reason!!! Never had to turn the ESP off and apart from scraping the underbody everywhere never felt uncomfortable!!! We did drive around during the day but in Goldsborough no road was gritted and they all looked like the Hall's car park!!!!! But no! Nothing could stop da Zed!!!!! In any case i am much more in love with my Zed after a romantic weekend away... and so is Mrs Zed with me....
  6. Its very easy to do and all the trick is in using a flat thin screw driver or a blunt knife (like i did). There are two bolts to unscrew but if you dont know what screw driver to use then dont try taking the sat nav out in the first place!!! There is a plastic frame between the screen and the button pad. Squeeze the knife on the side (you can use a thin cloth as well so that you dont scratch the plastic) and it pops up. Pick it up and remove it Finally unscrew the two aluminium screws and thats it! ps You dont have to undo the front clip in advance like the old sat nav!
  7. Do i? Now i know...cheers adam May i add that after a bit of copper grease on the ball and spring (from underneath the car) its always on the shortest setting. I love it!!!
  8. No m8 its normal. it should do it when wet (not that much in the dry) as well if you try and wheelspin on a straight line. i dont know why it does it but apparently its got to do with the suspension and the bushings. Nothing to worry about plus the TC on the zed is quite abrupt.
  9. God i tried that stuff and hated it!!! could they not do it transparent??? I always use concentrate stuff (never diluted) and never had any probs whatsoever... actually just got back from Goldsborough near harrogate where i stayed fr-sat and there was 5-10 inches of snow and -3. Wiper jet washers and head lamp jet washers were working just fine. For frosty mornings a jug of tap water loosens up the drivers window from the rubber seal (mine is a roadster) and then 10mins on idle with ac on at 25 degrees and heated seat and heated rear window/mirrors on as well. Then all good to go!
  10. I dont get it either...so i cant comment.... However, considering its a gearbox down job i d rather play it safe... i v got the exedy/fidanza set up and apart from the idle noise had no issues whatsoever. and the throttle response is so much better...plus the bite is more instant. Its a good upgrade...the only downfall is that its a bit more abrupt around town.... Only thing you should always keep in mind guys is the slave cylinder...always have it checked!!! think its about £40 and its not the strongest on earth.... Oh and my clutch started slipping (only when hot during hammering 3rd to 4th and so on) at about 17k!!! Then again its wear and tear....i think it lasted long anyway!
  11. I was there about 2 years ago....no need for a visa but a long queue at the airport passport control...they asked us all sorts of questions before they stamp the passport...but that was it! pricewise it was the same as uk on clothes and stuff but food varies depending on where you go...on an average a bit cheaper than uk...i could eat in sarjah for a pound fifty and in a libanese rest with belly dancers for 50 quid...its up to you... best part of all was driving tho....perhaps worse than rome city centre in rush hour!!! haha...
  12. + 1000000000000000000 and more!!!! But i like capris......in fact i quite like the looks of the 370...and the nismo 370 is even better... but if i part ex my 08 roadster i need another 16k for a new 370 roadster top spec like the one i v got now... same money and i can make the one i v got now a nismo f/a one with more than 400bhp plus set up for track days (the whole thing in progress anyway)...as for the interior in a couple of years the 370 interior will be dated as well...thats always the case with the jap cars!!! So i have to agree with sarnie...the new 370 should have been more different...and with 350bhp at least! then they would get more of us out of our 350s... the 370 will attract more attention next to a 350 true...and it may be more comfortable on long journeys...and it has got a better interior...but all these are wrong reasons to buy a Zed!!! Fun, driving pleasure, track days, driving involvement/experience, anti social behavior, eating germans for breakfast....thats what the Zed is about...and thats what the 370 should be doing better than the 350.... unfortunately nissan missed the point....but i am sure that in the next few years they ll come up with revised versions.... till then i will be staring at the 370...and then drift around it....and go kill some m3s on the track...
  13. No worries m8... i wasnt offended in any way... they will look better on mine anyway!!!
  14. Yes he has, or was that a rhetorical question? It was, was yours a rhetorical question? Dont even get me started on that`!!!!!!! Same wheels as on mine yeah, will people stop copying! Mine are et30 (iirc), and just clear the brembo's with no spacers. The rears look a little lost if you have lowered suspecsion, and I had to get Phil to work some voodoo to adjust the camber on the backs to look right. Though they would benefit from 5mm spacers if I get around to it Sorry m8 didnt even know you had them on! was browsing on ebay when i saw them and the girlfriend was like "i ll lick them all over once they are on your car they are gorgeous!" i went for et30 as well...will they not fit with 20mm spacers??? the car has been lowered...dont know how much tho as its been adjusted a couple of times!
  15. Thats why i am keeping the rays m8...for 888s!! these ones were ordered with ps2s...should have them fitted by the end of the week! Don't think you can get the 888's in the correct size for the Rays. 40 or 45 prof works fine....
  16. Thats why i am keeping the rays m8...for 888s!! these ones were ordered with ps2s...should have them fitted by the end of the week!
  17. dont remember...its been ages! got it from adam.
  18. lol works in reverse, gets shorter the more excited you get. its the anti- erection yes its got 4 settings...higher than oem...same as oem... shorter...too short to be any good!!! its got an inner ring with a spring that you lift up and then you chose the setting...and you can do it whilst at a traffic light!!! its quite good! just dont forget to grease the plastic ball cos it squeaks like mad on cold weather!!!
  19. As i said...on the highest setting its actually better than stock for town driving...gearchange is not tight any more even when cold... on lowest setting its bad...but once warm enough good fun!!!!
  20. I v got one and i love it m8. I think i got mine for about 70 quid inc taxes... on higher setting usually for town driving and the gear change is so much smoother! on lower setting it can be quite notchy tho but thats only for track days...
