  1. Nismo exhaust and dual intakes here..every time i reset the ecu it feels like its going a bit nicer but after a couple of weeks it feels slower?? I think it all changes when the CEL light comes on or slightly before that... Does a reset delete the ECU adaptation to the mods???
  2. They only said every 9000miles to me when i bought my 08. Didnt mention anything about 12 months...interesting...although it doesnt really affect me as its got 23000+ miles already... Didnt know anything about the recalls either...never had any issues with the alarm and when i asked them about the clutch bearing and rear axle clicking they said all these were sorted on the 08 models...then again i dont trust nissan hull...i could do with some feedback! The clutch slave cylinder did fail early tho and they replaced it on warranty.

    Tyres

I think that applies to the RE040s, my RE050's are good in the wet and the dry, just get lots of road noise on poor surfaces The 040s were very good in the dry and excellent for dry track days but dangerous in the wet!!! In fact i am wondering why nissan was selling the Z in the wet UK with 040s on!!! I went through 3 full sets of ps2s after the 040s but on 40prof all over. I had no issues whatsoever with the ESP and i mean no probs at all!! Superb tyres on cornering, braking and wet, quite good on acceleration. Very soft tyres tho which means that 2 average dry track days were all they could handle....plus i lost the crispness of the steering that i had with the stock 040s despite the fact that i went for 40prof and not 45. The only reason i went from 45 to 40 was the huge price difference. Just got some new 050As all over. I have done about 150 miles so far. Now i had the 050As on 45 prof fitted the steering is fantastic again! Its a harder tyre with much harder sidewall. They are a bit better on acceleration than the ps2s. worse on braking and slightly worse on cornering. However, i will be able to have a good idea after my 2 track days in november and once i do a few more miles and scrub them in properly. Road noise is better now i would say but then again i dont think i should be comparing 40 to 45 prof tyres. Price wise the 050As 45 prof were a bit more expensive but he gave them to me at the same price as the ps2s. £726. Still cheaper than the 45prof ps2s. One last thing...i am using nitrogen 35psi all over and i would swear that for some reason the 050As seem somehow more inflated than the ps2s.... Till now and after having 040s, ps2s and 050s i can say that you cant beat the ps2s for safety and overall grip. They are so bloody expensive tho especially the 45s... If anybody can compare the ps2s with other brands i would love to hear. In any case i hope this helps.
  4. Prolly tyres still covered in release agent, once that's scrubbed off, i.e. a few miles of wear, you should be getting better grip. I know m8 cheers. ESP off first thing and a few roundabouts... back ones ok....shame i v got to wait for the front ones... Wait to scrub in or wait for delivery? Scrub in m8...
  5. I ll; be making a weekend out of it in london...you can show me around the clubs if ya fancy!!! Dixcel man i ll see you there and we can always arrange tuition as well. pm me details pls! ps the brakes are good so far but i havent tried them properly yet...just had some 050As 45 prof fitted and the car is all over the place...got to do some more miles first and see how much i v got... If you want you can come down to my place first to get the alignment setup before you go down to Brands Hatch, my workshop is only 10 mins away from Brands hatch see my website for the address - http://www.dmsracingltd.co.uk Defo!

  8. is that possible?? I once had a filling without anasthetic because the dentist wanted to see the receptionists baby that she was parading around and it was nearing 5:30pm! That was pain, and he wasn't even trying Can't imagine what they could do with the nasty little drills of doom Funny thing is you stood there and took it like a good boy!!!
  9. Had the hood down and could hear the tyres locking and releasing...plus a slight kick from the pedal...i am looking for rims now... couldnt have a proper go as i wanna bed them in after i do a few miles and then try them properly...it was all accidental as the bite is not even yet... i was quite surprised...pleasantly may i add...but if its always like this it may be a bit annoying in town and on wet tarmac... exedy clutch and firanza flywheel for take off and dixcel brakes for landing...i need plastic bags for the passenger now me thinks.... What do you think? I've been a bit rough in town before. Press and stop! Lucky I only take the Zed about town for a pose generally. The brakes are superb. They have such a mental bite that initially you have to retrain. If you push the pedal like you would normally would you really stop! It takes a bit of retraining. When I jump from my freelander (with pish brakes) to the Zed I often get a jerk of the seatbelt locking. Then I remember and it's fine. It'll take a minute to get used to but I'd think you be impressed.
  10. Its whats under the bulge that matters m8!!! And may the ladies here correct me.... It does look really good tho!!! V v

  12. Apparently thats the new fashion amongst the rappers in the states!!! Diamonds, gold, metal and all sorts of jewels...shame i am not a dentist there!!!
  13. Ok Jay - Here's my 2 cents worth......... I dont think you can make comments about women drivers when you have a REVERSING CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!! Came with the car luv Plus I have a flip screen that covers it ask nixy she has been in my car when you were getting potty trained I was already driving Oooops thats a bit harsh....
  14. I used to give my maser to my girlfriend to go to the hairdresser's!!! She always came back a happy bunny and then happy days!!! I still remember the feeling till she comes back tho....i usually combined that time with cooking dinner for us and that upset me even more and i didnt think about my maser that much After all its only metal guys...love is above everything.... Yet, i still cant find a nice girl to get married to and have a happy family and lots of babies!!!
  15. Ah good to hear. That in mind, when you take it to the track from now on out, you'll have to adapt a new braking style to accomodate the new brakes, i.e. you prolly won't have to do the late breaking and thus become more smoother in the corners If anything he will brake even later and even harder! I do agree with Ekona on the ABS without bedding them in. How f'in hard are you driving this car on the road? I only ever see my ABS light when its wet and something pulls out in front of me It wasnt with more than 30-40mph guys....they feel a bit weird as they are new...soft ish at first but on prolonged braking they suddenly bite hard....on the motorway braking from 70 to 50 3-4 times and then you touch them and they BITE! then a few hundred yards later they have cooled down totally...didnt see the abs light but heard and felt it...these are only first imps tho...2nd of nov brands hatch and end of nov cadwell park...then i ll let you know! I hardly ever feel the abs even on the track...i did find it strange as i am running ps2s all over and its hard to lock the wheels without hurting your neck ...mind you they are getting changed tom for some new 050As...
  16. oh i do denplan as well.... and btw i only need the screwdriver and the pliers from the boot!!!!
  17. Matt i am not going to reply to ekona as he is obviously taking the **** when he is calling me an expert!!! for some reason this guy knows all and has an adamant opinion on everything...and he posts back to me as if he has got a problem with me or smth!!! and i have never even met him!!! anyway, the brakes did come with instructions....yes....had them on for 5000 miles of which about 4000 were motorway miles!!! Did a few laps at the ring but they were slow laps as i dont know the track and my car's set up was really bad at the time (and didnt do mote than 2 laps in one go) and a day at mallory park which is hard only on the front left tyre!!! ! if you saw the disks you would know...no lip or wear whatsoever!!! however there was less than 2mm pad left all over....and the calipers cooked well done and crispy... Had my new brakes fitted today...and took all the wrecked parts to nissan to have a look. they are quite friendly and helpful so far and accept responsibility...we just have to wait and see what they will come back to me with. I am not after money... i v got enough...and if it wasnt now i would need new brakes in a year....i am bothered about the calipers tho....nissan said they may give me some new ones or refurb my old ones... Btw i qiute like those dixcel brakes....although they may be a bit too much for every day driving....never felt the ABS so much in my life.... and i havent even bedded them in yet!!!!

  20. Mods delete the thread and ban the dude pls!!!! Absolutely rank the whole concept....
  21. As my colleague states above! Max dose for ibuprofen is 2.4gr for adults which means max 400mg every 4h. you can take max 3gr of paracetamol a day as well which means 500mg every 4h or 1gr every 8h. and you can combine them if you want to. ibuprofen is the NSAID with the least gastrointestinal side effects but that doesnt mean there arent any!!! painkillers in dentistry are used for 1-7 days. Neither me or any other colleague i believe, would recommend anything on a thread or over the phone as a thorough medical history check is needed to do so. Thats because although you can buy those painkillers over the counter, they are still medicines and as such they are prescribed by us. Go and see your dentist and speak to him/her. I am more than happy to help as well, if you dont mind driving to hull. I will be here all weekend but for sunday morning when you will find me at the Yorkshire Z meet at Xscape!!! and possibly still over the limit!!!! Fancy bringing your drill and pliers to Xscape? lol (Oh and don't forget the drugs ) Would be fun....if you dont mind my breath stinking of Jack Daniels and a fag stuck on the bottom lip....just like the good old times!!!
  22. your brakes will tell them you tracked it. personally i'd reckon you stand a good chance of getting them to meet you half way on the overall costs of this saga. i'd start off at full cost and work down from there. Mmmmm good idea....or let them make the first offer.... btw you honestly cant tell the car has been on the track...mallory park is not exactly hard on brakes....there is no lip....there is nothing!!!! just cracks and soft brake feeling. ps Stew m8 it depends how fast you are going when you spot the coppers or the speed camera!!!! only joking...... I'm not judging. I own a supersports class motorbike. It's jail dodging every journey! Didnt take it the wrong way m8 dont worry...motorbikes would have only 1st gear and Zeds only 1st and 2nd if that was the case!!!
