I'd go with getting a new box to be honest mate and then ask the garage to refund you the cost of the dodgy box and try and recover some of the cost to fit it to your car (if not all of it) (Id' go with a ne wbox from the same place, they'll be sure to get you one thats hopefully working this time!) steady's true dual is pretty quiet to be honest, mine aint if you got a silent one today and you only change the cats then I'd say it'll be louder but not too loud if it gets too loud get a super charger, seem to make the noise deeper

HAd hfc and plenum intake done before I did the exhaust... once I got the exhaust done I had to change the end pipes because it was too loud... you thinking custom or brand dual?

If I get some time ill do a similar thing but have a funnel gathering air in the front must be some better way to do the rear, not to bothered about rear though if nothing else the life of the pads should be increased instead of them melting!

here is an idea, why not take a plenum put it on a cardboard and use a pen and draw the outline.... you could cut the inside out so you get the width of it. SImples!

Don't think its the box itself. Check for water damage you might have a faulty box somewhere. Get onto a breaker and see what they want for a bcm, ecu?
