  1. I prefer to throw smoke in front of campers on my own team. Smoke + Scavenger Pro = very annoyed camper. Or with Black ops you can be even more cruel with camping snipers on your own team. Decoy + Scavenger = annoyed ghillie. They either eventually get the point, ore more often than not - leave.
  2. Quite honestly it is almost impossible to get 50/60 kills in one game whilst also going for the objective. The only possibility of this is if you are guarding an already achieved objective, or indeed camping and waiting for someone else to do the objective. That just results in an Somebody, Everybody and Nobody situation. Everybody assumes Somebody is going to complete the objective, as Everybody is content that they can rack up monster kill numbers while Somebody does the hard work and gets only the minimal points for the objective, and in reality, Nobody is going for the objective. The way I see it working would be getting higher points for kills near an achieved objective. i.e. guarding a friendly domination point - kills = normal 50 per kill. overlooking a domination point which is vacant - points per kill is minimal, as thats just camping for kills and not going toward objective. Capture the flag - points per kill while protecting your flag = normal. points per kill while within range of enemy flag = higher, capturing flag = higher still. If your flag has already been taken, then any kills in your flags spawn area while its missing are given minimal points, as you are clearly just camping waiting for enemy to come back. How many times have you played a headquarters game and ended up on a team losing losing something like 190 to 0, and the winning team just dont capture the last headquarters. Instead they camp round it and just go for kills instead. Another solution would be to ensure that the minimum match bonus awarded to the lowest player on the winning team was at least higher than the person on the losing team with the most kills. i.e. if a player on the losing team was just going for kills and ignoring the objectives got 100 kills at 50 points each, then the match bonus for the lowest player on the winning team (the team who actually went for the objectives) was at least 5000. Mind you, the points scoring system would then be more complex than the simple "more kills gets ya more points y'all" and the Americans would moan like hell as they struggle to understand anything more complex than that in video games.
  3. OK, heres a graph showing the value of the holding over time. Happy?
  4. Many larger companies share prices trade in £ or $ rather than pennies or cents, for instance Google is at around 600.36, but thats in $ per share, so around £400 per share.
  5. Various websites (which also suffer from the problem of being able to count units) have misquoted the 52 week high of Transware (not hard to find out which company it was). It was £30 per share, but only because that was a takeover price for the whole company. Shareholders had the option to accept the £30 per share offer in 2004, if you didn't, and EastChase made it past the 90% mark, then they could lapse the offer. I.e they were only ever worth £30 x £375 (£11,250) and unfortunately you missed the boat. Read this:
  6. Chris it was £1.123 mil not k Stick a nought on my figures above then and an exclamation mark on the note to the treasury then
  7. At least the £500 you can keep tax free as part of your capital gains. The £112k would have attracted 28% capital gains, so a lovely £31k tax bill. I'd photocopy the certificates and send them to the HMRC with a little note consisting of "up yours".
  8. The English public forest estate accounts for less than 20% of the whole forest area in the UK does it not? That means 80% of it is already in private ownership - yet felling and car park building is not rife. There is a vast difference between selling off forest and giving private companies permission to tarmac the area, which is pretty much what the scare tactics of many online petitions seem to suggest will happen.
  9. There is apparently a four page article on Stormgirl. So, in summary - a four page artice for that gets published, but there has been ZERO coverage of something like the Wales drive which sees 50+ zeds take part in the largest organised Nissan club drive out in the UK. Thats some way to impress a target audience such as this club with over 7,000 registered members.
  10. They probably employ a receptionist/team that handles all calls for that companies range of franchises. Here in Chesterfield you have Gordon Lamb that have Nissan, Renault, Land Rover, Jaguar, and a few others. They at least have seperate numbers to ring depending on the make of car, but other groups such as Autoworld in Chesterfield have one reception number for their range of brands. So you speak to the same person to service your Fiat as you do an Alfa, they are employed for their organisation and administration skills not their car knowledge.
  11. I'm above average on finances, below average on social and slightly above average on cultured.
  12. Black Ops suffers just the same as every other CoD multiplayer has. Unless you are on a full team of friends, when playing objective based games (capture the flag, domination, headquarters etc etc), you will always get half the players on a team not bothering with the objective and just camping going for kills. It leads to much frustration, much hair pulling and language which Im surprised Ive not been banned of xbox live for. To solve this in my view would be very simple. Give lots of XP points for achieving the objectives, and not so much for just being on the winning team (as the campers then prosper from other peoples determination to win). Say 1000 xp for a flag, domination or headquarters capture and a minimal xp score just for kills. If you camp in an area that is further than X distance away from an objective (spawn killing campers etc) you become permanently visible on the map regardless of whether you have ghost perk on or not. Force people to actually play the objective based games as they were intended rather than just racking up hundreds of kills while your teammates who are actually trying to go for the objective get beaten and dont get as much XP even though they were actually tring to play it properly. Unfortunately other than team deathmatch and private matches/gun games etc, unless you are in a with a full group of friends objective based multiplayer is pointless
  13. Isn't that the job of the seller of the car? Its the sellers job to send off the details yes. But how do they know if the details they are sending off are actually those of the person handing over the cash and driving the car away?
  14. Now all they need to do is make sure all those uninsured drivers have actually bothered to register the vehicle in their name and address in the first place, to make sure the fines go to the right place.
  15. This or the altea. Well under £15k and very quick. Torque eats front tyres on them though.
  16. I was actually quite impressed with the Skoda Yeti. If I were in the market for a reasonably priced versatile family car I'd be having a look at that.
  17. Go to the teaser site, select sounds, exterior and fast drive by. If you are even a little bit of a petrol head, your knees will go wobbly. Not overly convinced on the looks or how convenient the 4 seats will be wit the two doors, but that noise.... oh the noise.
  18. Not surprise they are backed up with the state of the roads round Chesterfield at the moment. There are some potholes you could lose a Chilean miner in!
  19. No. Dont do this, it's a bad idea. You will get told off and your webspace will be taken down as soon as it is discovered and you will have to do some serious sucking up to get it switched back on.
  20. Fasthosts contracts do contain that statement unfortunately. They require notice or you are subject to the fee, even if you then cancel the service. Effectively they will then sell that space onward to another customer and get double the money for it. So you may as well use it. Just fill it with a picture saying - "I paid £70 for this" and a whole bunch of files that you may or may not want to access away from home over the next 12 months, at least then you will have the satisfaction of knowing that space cant be sold on after you have already paid for it - then fill in the cancellation form advising that you wish to cancel on the next aniversary.
  21. Thats the one - didnt think they would have a website so never checked.
  22. Cookie, have you tried that place on derby road opposite the esso petrol station? (near the speed cameras and turn off toward wingerworth) Ive not seen any reviews or had any experience, but may be worth a shot?
  23. You have a lot of friends here Stephen, whenever you may be down and dont feel like talking face to face with people you know, there will always be someone here. Wishing you and your family the strength to cope at a difficult time.
  24. If I ever found myself in a position to start collecting them, one just like Daves brothers would be on the list for sure, they are stunning. I wouldnt change a thing about it, Id keep the retro wheels - to me it makes it a perfect and pristine example of the car. Let me know if hes ever selling
